Just search for it. Easy to find

If you have CyanogenMod or a CyanogenMod based rom then look in Settings > CyanogenMod settings > Input > enable Trackball wake
This worked perfectly for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=830063
You need to be rooted.
All i could find was a trackpad wake the the vision. not the G2

like tooter said, they are the same! HTC Vision is the general name for our phone. The two types of specific Vision models are the G2 (T-Mobile US version) and Desire-Z (global version). Just more specific names for the same phone.
Widget Locker works for the unrooted!
I second salemfox. WidgetLocker is awesome (with tons of custom lock screens found here on xda) and it allows wake by the track pad button.
Hello I use Tap Tap Tap it uses the sensor its good, in the Market..I am not rooted.

Hi,
So I've just rooted my Desire, installed clockwork recovery etc, but my central button doesn't work so I can't select any option... What can I do to fix this problem?
I've tried ButtonRemapper, but you need full root for that :/
the trackball doesnt work? In recovery or android or both? Did it work before?
Thanks for the details.
It's just broken... It isn't software-related, but I need it to select the option in the clockwork recovery, whereas in the original recovery menu, you had to press the power button to select the options...
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
I use power button in recovery to select options

It'd help if you shared what recovery you're using. Most recoveries just screen-off when you press power.
Sorry mate, clockworkmod 2.5.0.7

really? I use that and that's all it does.. hmm weird
Really? It's strange though, at first when I press it I get a black screen. Then after a while a message appears at the bottom that says back menu button enabled, after that I can use either the power button or optical track pad to make a selection.

Are you sure? It would really help if it works... I'm still stuck since yesterday :/ Have been looking for a recovery that uses the power button to select an option.
EDIT: Found how it works! I just spammed the volume button a couple of times, and I get the same message! thank you so much, I can now use my power button to select the options
Excellent! I just go nuts on the buttons to get it to work too lol.. Glad to hear you got it figured out

Am I the only one that finds it irritating that since 7.1.0, if you press enter while a single-line textbox is selected, instead of actually doing the default enter action (go in a browser) it does the equivalent of pressing space?

Anyone? No one else is having this problem? I don't want to keep bumping this topic every few hours but if that's what it takes then so be it...

Where exactly is this happening?

Anywhere there's a one-line text box. The google search app, opera mobile's URL bar (also the default browser), even the "subject" text box of this view (in the XDA app).

Pressing the enter button in those those areas performs just as expected, as if I were pressing the enter button. No issues on my end and I'm running CM 7.1.0.

Any fix for this issue? Do I have to revert to before 7.1.0?

I had about the same thing happen when using Swiftkey since then. Are you using Swiftkey?

I've just been using the stock keyboard for a while and haven't had any problems with it. I haven't heard of an actual fix for Swiftkey unfortunately
Get swype beta. You can always check back in with swift key later. I think there is at least one other reputable keyboard out ther as well.

I noticed this too. We are not alone.

I recently switched back to ARHD from CM7 and I really miss the feature to switch songs while the screen is locked, over the volume buttons.
Is there a way to enables this in sense roms, or does anyone know in which file the settings should be that i can manually activate it?
thanks

There is an app in the market that can do this! Search for remap or something like that. And I think you can use it while it is locked
