[Q] Music control - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently switched back to ARHD from CM7 and I really miss the feature to switch songs while the screen is locked, over the volume buttons.
Is there a way to enables this in sense roms, or does anyone know in which file the settings should be that i can manually activate it?
thanks

There is an app in the market that can do this! Search for remap or something like that. And I think you can use it while it is locked

Change Volume when Locked

I've had a quick search and couldn't find this but sorry if I missed something. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed they can change the volume when the phone is locked (and the screen off)?
Yep, same on mine.
Mine too.. and it's ace.... i dont have to switch the screen on, unlock just to alter the music player volume...

But I'm sure you could see how this could be undesired by some? Once I have my volume set, that's it I don't need it changing.
Search for volume locker in the market

Unlocking screen alternatives

I'm running a HDH but to unlock my phone I have to press the power button, and with this new case it is awkward. Is there and mods that I can change this, maybe use vol buttons as well?
BTW I'm running LeeDroid 3.o.1

Does anyone have or are able to make the trackpad button able to wake up the phone/turn on the screen. I wouldn't know how to make but it would be greatly appreciated

Just search for it. Easy to find
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
If you have CyanogenMod or a CyanogenMod based rom then look in Settings > CyanogenMod settings > Input > enable Trackball wake
This worked perfectly for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=830063
You need to be rooted.

like tooter said, they are the same! HTC Vision is the general name for our phone. The two types of specific Vision models are the G2 (T-Mobile US version) and Desire-Z (global version). Just more specific names for the same phone.
Widget Locker works for the unrooted!
I second salemfox. WidgetLocker is awesome (with tons of custom lock screens found here on xda) and it allows wake by the track pad button.
Hello I use Tap Tap Tap it uses the sensor its good, in the Market..I am not rooted.

[Q] Lock and unlock screen without power button by using three induction button

Hi all,
I am using CM-KangBang V3.0 for my one V. I like this rom on this rom. And on this rom i can slide 3 or 2 induction button to lock, unlock screen. But i don't know how this feature called. I tried orther rom, but with them, i can't do that. Can someone tell me how this feature called? Is there a app with this feature. Thanks!
It is a feature of the kernel, its called sweep2wake.there are plenty of apps that can lock/unlock the phone without using the power button. eg,smart screen on which unlocks/ locks with a sweep over the proximity sensor.

Hardware keys

Anyone knows why the HTC one m8 stock version the keys at the bottom dissappear in a lot of the apps like Internet and much more, I have use 3 roms alright currently on Insertcoin and they all have the keys permanently there taking more space of the screen is kind of annoying lol. Anyways anyone knows something about it.

I can't speak to the Internet app, as I use Chrome, and it doesn't do this. Are you talking about the immersive mode of fullscreen apps, like Google Play Books or YouTube? That's by design.
Although, I can't imagine the Internet app is supposed to do that... Sorry I can't offer much help. Maybe you could list some more apps that do it. What stock rom are you on? (Rogers, AT&T, etc)

I moved this to Q&A since it's a question. My attempt to answer your question:
I've noticed that some apps have built in menu functions and will turn off the keys. The custom ROMs probably have a toggle set that keeps the keys there not matter what. That's my guess without more info.
