Yesterday i installed the G2 plain android ROM from modaco on my Desire Z due to having some wifi related problems with my sense based virtuous rom.
Walking home after work i listended my favorite cd once again, the one that i had played many times before on my sense based rom. Both times the winamp player was used.
After some time it came to mind that the audio was of higher quality then before.
I first thought it was the burn in time of my Blox TM5 earphones but after installing the virtuous rom back today the audio was not as clear as it was on the plain android rom.
Is this possible or is it just me? Can we get plain android audio drivers on a sense based ROM?
Kind regards

OpenDesire 4.0.4 against the AuraxTSense 7.6.1 version
Pure Google Android against HTC Widget UI
I was a long time Sense UI fan, then out of curiosity and love towards Google i tried the OpenDesire project by Adam and i like very much the speed and beauty of everything.
What bothered me though was the lack of some settings in camera/videocamera. No touch to focus during video especially.
Today i tried one last test, to see who will win my heart and my Desire over.
THIS is the OpenDesire 4.0.4 shot by video.
Wiped, flashed the AuraxTSense 7.6.1 version (contrary to the title in the actual video) and shot THIS video.
Do you agree that the video by OD is far better and smooth? Only if there was that darn touch to autofocus. Maybe even DURING the shooting?
As for me, i'm nandroidRestoring my way back to OpenDesire.
Thanks for reading!
Says that the video's are private...
yeah, cannot view the videos
I forgot to change the settings.. Will do.. Check in a minute..
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
shooting videos is 1 thing..being able to view them decently is another..if i had the sense music player , video player, gallery, radio app, camera functions, video functions pretty widgets that exist in sense, i would go od in a heartbeat..but nope..noway..even the keyboard has to be changed to b fanctional for my language..
I've done this test many, many times.
AOSP roms with Nexus One cyanogen ported camera (like cyanogenmod, defrost and opendesire too) have the advantage of a lower datarate (6Mbit vs 7.5Mbit) which is easier on the microsd and also sometimes of a better auto-iso management especially in not-so-ideal lighting. On the other hand I think the camera app is crap in itself and lacks autofocus badly.
If you have a fast enough microsd and adjust a bit the iso on HTC Sense, you will end up probably with equal or better results.
Oh and by the way, I can't stand stock android lack of polish
The bluetooth for sense sounds horrid with loads of static. The aosp bluetooth sounds infinitely better in comparison. Is there any way of getting the aosp version into sense roms?
I has stock sense and a BT jawbone icon... I do great. What BT earpiece are you using?
I'm using BT in my Mazda3
Sorry, to be more specific, it's only for music. Phone calls are just fine. This has been an issue since 2.1 of sense, and has never been an issue with any Cyanogen versions or other AOSP roms like MIUI.
I have this same problem with my hero and my 2010 mazda3.
have yet to figure out why, it has to be something to do with the way htc built android with whatever bluetooth stack. aosp and cyanogen all work 100% on my mazda but sense roms change tempo constantly. Any devs have any ideas about the bluetooth stack used in sense and the one used in aosp? does it have anything to do with the sense framework?
I'm using Bluetooth audio with my Mazda3 2011 and it seems to be pretty good. Been using only Sense ROMs

I have an interesting discovery, when I restore my RCMIX 3D over my MIUI ROM, I notice that the equalizer present in the sense 3.0 music player are not the original one from sense 3.0. (I always switch between both ROM because I can not decided which is better) Instead, those are present from MIUI ROM. So, I just wonder, is it possible to change the available equalizer present in the sense 3.0 music player???
I listen a lot of music on my phones and until now I had only Sense Roms installed. I never had any problems with music quality on Sense Roms. But now I am trying CM7 and I am very disappointed on the music quality compared to Sense Roms.
I have tried several options on DSP Manager and it only improved a little but Sense Roms are still better.
Anyone have some tips to improve music quality on CM7?

U Can Try Reflashing The CM Rom so it can be installed clean the sound should work and you can also stick with sense roms, and if u are a big listener to music why not try Beats Audio there is A alot Of Sense Roms With Beats Audio Try Them Out
Is it possible to have DTS / SRS TruSurround on Desire HD with all the new JB roms like Cyanogenmod 10.1 and so on.
I am just migrating from Revolution HD 6.3.1 to something much newer like Cyanogenmod 10.1 and I adore the new ROM.
Installed it amongst 4-5 JB or ICS good roms for it's known sound tweaking capabilities from what I red through XDA.
But eventually was very dissapointed by the single sound improving tool (DSP Manager).
Is it possible to have DTS / SRS back with current rom.
Already tried mod like this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848616
the result was terrifying pre-exposured sound and rom reflash, no good.
I use the same audio/video players as before, they got good EQ but it's not the same (PowerAMP, PlayerPRO + DSP, MX Player).
Please help!
