So I rooted my second EVO about a month ago using the Unrevoked method and installed MIUI.
I took my dog for a walk came in and noticed my phone stuck on the HTC screen I guess it rebooted itself. So I pulled the battery to restart the phone and got nothing, ive tried booting into recovery etc. No luck. No response from charger or anything.
I know my battery is charged as it was at 70% or so before I walked outside for 5 minutes.
Any shot of getting this thing turned back on?
Can you get into the bootloader?

I have been rooted for a while and successfully flashed a few Roms/Kerenels using rom manager. I was flashing the newest version of Myn and one of the "warm" kernels that it offered with it. Everything was going normally the rom loaded fashed the rom and kerenel the phone was reseting then out of nowhere i got the image of the white box and android guy with an arrw as if to say "android taken out of box" I left it like that for about 5 min then took the batt out and tried to reset it. I got the same image then i tried vol. up & power it vibrated 3x and did nothing. My buddy had the same problem yesterday and he got it workin. I called him and he said all he did was pull batt/restart over and over till it booted normally. I tried that about 10x then it would not turn on again. Plugged it in, no response no led light up.
Am I bricked past the point of no return, and if not what can I do to get back in business
Stay calm, pull battery out for 5 minutes and then put it back in, then put charger in and see if LED comes on.
did that batt was out for about 20 min plugged it back in nothing
let phone charge 30 minutes
will do.. from what you know does this sound like a typical brick scenario? I feel like I didnt do anything different from all the other times I flashed roms/kerenels it just kinda flipped out on me this time?
it just happened to me, my phone wouldnt turn on or charge. Pull out battery for 1 minutre, (make sure phone isnt plugged in) out battery in, DONT PLUG IN CHARGER YET.
power phone on, once u see the white evo splashscreen, plug charger in and wait seconds and u will see LED turn on.
keep me updated
No mtter what I do or at least nothing ive tried I cannot get the Evo to respond by turning on or lighting up or doing anything
To get into bootloader, you need to press and hold vol *down* and power. Sometimes mine is finicky...be sure to firmly press those buttons, and keep them just as firmly held until you see the bootloader screen.
If that doesn't work, you might have a dead battery. Can you swap batteries with a friend?
I had this happen to me with my girls evo. Its usually related to overheating. Do you happen to have a second battery? If yu had an htc hero, they have same battery. Worked for me.

This happened to me while flashing the newest EViO. Don't worry, if your phone turns on a little youre most likely fine.

Never got it working or turned on but I took it to a Sprint tech center andt they gave me a new one... It would not power on even when they opened it up. they just replaced it.
After using my phone for about 2 hours I stuck it in my pocket for as I was about to go into a meeting. After the meeting I pulled my phone out and it turned on (thought it was strange because I never turned it off) and I began to use it. Stuck it back in my pocket and after a couple minutes I pulled it out again to call someone but the phone was off again! I tried turning it back on and it just keeps going to either the samsung boot logo or when its plugged in it goes to the battery logo. It only stays on either on for no more than 2 seconds. So used my friends phone to test if it was my battery that was broken on his s3. After swapping battery my phone still didn't turn on and with my battery in his phone it booted right up and even was up to 81% battery life!
My phone is rooted and its running just a stock rom from sammobile.
I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions besides calling tmobile? I do not have insurance and I bought it using my uncles contract since he didnt want another phone.
Thank you
Can you get into recovery? While the phone's off hold Volume Up+Home button+Power button and see if it goes into recovery.

This happened to me once. I freaked out too but just let it charge and came back and then it was on lol
What's weird is I was at a 80% charge. I left phone unplugged all weekend to see how long it would last. I got to like 2 days 6 hours so I charged at work on a non HTC charger.
Reading around seems like some other ones are doing this too. Hopefully it was a one time deal.
Yea I've kinda realized that. I wish HTC sold extra chargers. My nephew has destroyed my old incredible cable. No other micro cables fit like the HTC ones.
This happened to me when the battery failed on my One. The amber charging light is tough to tell apart from the red overheating/failure light. When I powered my phone down to cool it off, it never came back.
I purchased a 360 from Best Buy less than a month ago. I updated it to 5.0.1 right out of the box. It has been doing great until 2 days ago. I came home put on the watch. It booted up and was working fine. 30 - 45 min later the screen won't turn on. I thought it just froze so I held the power button for 30sec. Nothing. I tried throwing it on the charger even though it was at 80% last I looked at it. Neither the charging icon or the clock came on the screen while on the charger. I let it sit for awhile anyways. It never did anything even though the charge light came on on the charger. After letting it sit on the charger for 1 1/2 hours I removed to try powering it on. Nothing. I decided to leave it alone for awhile and the next thing I notice is that it is sitting at the bootloader. That is all it would do and only after pulling it off the charger. So today I left the watch on at the bootloader until it died. I put it on the charger and the charging icon appeared on the screen. The watch booted and showed the clock. Once it reached 50% i decided to do a reset just to see if it would fix whatever bug was affecting it. After rebooting I was prompted that I had the 5.0.2 update waiting for me. I charged it to 100%. I ran the update thinking if I am having a software issue, an update would definitely help. I ran the update and it rebooted. Everything seemed to be working fine. I setup it up and strapped it on my wrist. I go to turn on the screen and it wont turn on again. The watch battery was at 96%. I put it on the charger for 30min. When I pulled it off the charger it booted to the bootloader yet again... Is there a fix anyone knows of or do I have a hardware issue?

Sunday everything was fine, put my phone in my pocket, sat down on the couch, 30 minutes later, phone was dead. Battery pull, nothing, wouldn't show charging. With the battery out, usb plug would show the battery icon with the question mark, putting in the battery would then startup and bootloop. I could use this method to get to recovery mode, but couldn't see anything in adb. Factory reset/wipe cache, still nothing.
At this point, i went on the web and reactivated my G3.
Found a couple of YouTube vids. First one was, put it in the freezer. This worked, but only for about 10-15 minutes, and then back to bootloop.
Then i saw one about disassembling it, and running a blowdryer on the chips on the mobo for 5 minutes. Did that, and it came back to life. I let it sit for awhile, to make sure it wasn't a temp fix like the freezer was.
With everything still good after 5 hours, i went online and reactivated it. It booted up fine, no issues, and as soon as it connected to do OTA activation, bam right back to bootloop.
Just bad timing, or something else?
Any ideas/help/baseless speculation would be welcome.
Thanks, friends.
