Hello everyone......is there a way to somehow use landscape mode on the 3RDSense rom?
Any Help Will Be Greatly Appreciated
You mean like... turning the phone sideways?
Please elaborate, what isn't turning landscape for you? Anything? Or just an app or the launcher? I'm not positive, but was 3rd sense the rom where rotation didn't work? Check the op on the thread, see what works and what doesn't.

I currently run Skyraider sense 3.3.3... I just bought a car dock and I'm wonder which rom currently available is the best to run in landscape mode...
Is there any sense rom that can do it?
Devs... what are the chances we could make it happen?
Please elaborate =) Thanks
Sense roms don't so landscape sorry

Crap, I cant remember what I ran that did landscape sense. It looked weird tho... Easiest thing is run Launcher Pro... It has most sense style widgets built in to the paid version...
There are new Sense UI versions that do run landscape. The Desire Z for example. However , landscape Sense is not happening due to, from what I've heard, not detecting the keyboard being slid out.
I have been searching for an app that will either force landscape or tell the system the keyboard is out. No luck with anything working yet.

I just use Launcher Pro. Works great and I actually like a lot more than Sense.

Incdoes tweeted a picture of his Incredible with landscaped home screen and it was a Desire port. Not sure if he got it working without issues, but I would PM him and ask.
Sorry if this has already been posted, but I need to know if there's a way to make the hardware keyboard light up again. I'm using a custom ROM(LegendtoSlide) and I really enjoy it, but the keyboard not working is something of a pain. Is there a file I can flash that will enable the keyboard again? Or a Legend ROM that enables the keyboard? Any help is much appreciated.
There is nothing that can be done until the developer updates the rom.

I still don't understand why people don't just hit the report button. Every time I've done this, a mod has moved it very quickly.

Well, I was [personally] unaware that the report button should be used for such purposes. But if you're having success with it (and not being scolded by XDA personnel) then I shall use it henceforth.

It might be a different froyo sense rom that I'm thinking of, but there should be SOMETHING implemented to manually turn on and off the light. I believe if you hold search and press L on the hardware keyboard it enables the light, but that might just be on 3rd sense. There is also an app in the market that can do this, called Backlight off! or something like that.
I don't think so but, is it possible to port over this answer/ignore screen from Sense?? My girl is getting annoyed by the slides now. She seems to be liking iphone now.. which it is better an app deparment. Way better than android market IMO..

Not possible for an AOSP ROM (which I presume you're using).
That answer screen is part of the Sense framework. To port that over would mean to port over the entire framework, which isn't possible.
Thank you, no kind of alternative huh?? She really likes that "iphone" stuff.. but unfortunatelty.. she's stuck now with the TMOUS leak , unrooted.. until there's a downgrade.., everything else is perfect, except she's tired of the slides.. which is dumb IMO same process right?

I don't believe there is an alternative, though I could be wrong. The AOSP answer screen is part of Phone.apk and I don't believe there has been an alternative to that.
You can use alternate dialers like DialerOne (http://www.appbrain.com/app/dialer-one/kz.mek.DialerOne) which changes the dialing screen, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't change the answer screen.
Sliding or pressing to answer calls doesn't matter to me, sliding just requires a tiny bit more finger effort, lol. Tell her it's good for her finger muscles lol.
I did notice that if the phone is "awake" and someone calls, you get the "push to answer" option instead of the slider. And when it's locked, you get the "slide to answer" option. Makes sense because they want to make it harder for you to answer a call on accident when the phone is locked and in your pocket. So if someone modified Phone.apk to always present you with the "push to answer" screen, then your problem would be solved.
If you're familiar with ADB, have you tried the downgrading thread over at the development section? Supposedly you can downgrade and root any G2 with it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1055581
Then you could just load up an MIUI or Sense ROM onto her phone and she'd be happy

Yeah, I've rooted her phone and all.. put sense, miui, and cm roms on it but they always have problems.. so I unrooted but then put the PC10IMG of gingerbread on it and since there's no downgrade available right, she's stuck at slides now

Lol that sucks. I love Sense and MIUI ROMs but they're a little too slow for me. I've had the most success with the InsertCoin ROM. Pretty smooth, not as smooth as CM7 though... Of course that's just my opinion.
Hey guys i was wondering if there was anyway someone could port over the orientation change animation from the photon 4g or another phone to the epic touch. i love this phone and everything about it besides the fact that there is no animation for this thanks in advance
Sorry i posted it in the wrong section D:

Look in the Apps and Themes section (where this probably should go anyway); someone has some of them working on our phones
.....
Hey guys! Was just wondering if I was the only one with the same problem?
First rom I installed with this new phone was AOKP jb build-1.
Was messed, because the auto-rotate was inversed. When it was supposed to be portrait, it was displaying landscape, etc.
Then I downloaded the great TDJ's rom, and there again, had some issue.
Was turning landscape when I was landscape, but when I was putting my phone back in portrait mode, wasn't coming back to it..............
So I had everytime to get out of the app. Decided to just remove auto-rotate. Heard it was something about a file in lib folder that was set for T-Mobile phones, so it wasn't working fine for Telus' version.
Now I'm on ErickWill's version of JB, still the same. If I turn my phone 90 degree side, it'll come to landscape mode, but if I want it back to Portrait, no way I can get to it without exiting the application.
Any known fix for that?
Thanks!
The devs are working on some sort of ratational correspondence tracking module emulator script to correct this. Try searching for "rotation fix"...don't think anyone has done that yet! Be sure and report back. Mods please make this a sticky. I think we are on to something here.

A few others have used the JB rotation fix from the AT&T's Skyrocket thread on their T989 and reported that it does work. =) You can try if you'd like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779819

Hm. Maybe if you used the instigator x kernel with it, it may work. Most that have said it worked used both. I have yet to try to rotation fix, but I'll probably try tomorrow and let you know!
