First, can you make your title more clearer...Like EI22 rotation lag?
And second, try the calibration again. I haven't seen mention of this yet, but if more users show up with it then I am sure someone will make a lag fix on it.
Well I'll throw my vote in on this... I have lag and hor. cal. doesn't do it.

Have you tried doing the horizontal calibration with the screen upside down? That used to fix my rotation lags on froyo. Something about using it with the screen facing up always made it lag instead of fixing it.. If that don't work u might have to try using terminal emulator and see if that helps.

See Gingerbread Horizontal Calibration and these posts: my calibration question and jbadboy2007's response and jt1134's rebuttal.
The short story is that there is no known calibration method for GB, whether on a stock-based ROM or AOSP, such as CM7.
* Note: jt1134 is one of the CM7 devs, therefore I feel pretty confident he knows what he's talking about. I'm pretty sure jbadboy2007 is experienced as well.
Did you experience lag on froyo at all or is this a new thing?

I don't know if you're addressing the OP or me (probably OP), but I'll go ahead and tell ya I had rotation lag with a couple of different Froyo ROM flashes.
using the /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha I was always able to minimize the lag, though if I had a number of different home screens filled with apps it would still lag a bit more than a virgin ROM flash (not unexpected).
The "new thing" is that now there is no known fix for rotation lag*, which sucks.
* At least with CM7. The sensorcalibutil_yamaha fix may still work with stock-based ROMs in GB, I've just never tried any GB except for CM7.

I tried the /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha cmd with terminal emulator. Says the cmd is not found :-(
Bringing this thread back I guess, instead of making a new one. I'm having a big issue with 2-3 second rotation lag. Tried the upside down horizontal calibration and no go. Just throwing my hat in the ring in hopes that someone will find a fix.
There was a thread opened for the issue.

From the original thread:
* For other GB ROMs the fix should be basically the same, though I would recommend using the framework.jar from that specific ROM. (Maybe other, more experienced devs would like to shed some light on this topic? Would this framework.jar or flashable .zip be safe to try with other GB ROMs?)
So it may be usable...
Bumping this. Rotation lag is the most annoying issue with GB thus far

It might work it will break some things though, and he said the fix should be the same, meaning what he did should be the same to fix lag on other ROMs. Which it is.

Did not work for me...
Bumping this again. Praying that someone can make a fix for this issue. It is plaguing my experience. Otherwise it is outstanding. I repeatedly tried the upside down calibration and it has not worked.
The framework.jar from my rom has the fix. Take that file and then calibrate on a flat surface.

That's weird, I'm actually on your V4 ROM now. I could possibly reflash. Or I guess I could just drop that file over the old one, that's prob easier. Or maybe time to upgrade to V5 huh. Thanks for the response.
---------- Post added at 11:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:43 PM ----------
Ok so, wow. I dropped the same framework.jar I already had over the old one, and the calibration tool in settings> display works. Very weird. But someone should mark this as solved in case it needs to be done separate from flashing a ROM.

Flashed ICS v5 and my rotation lag issue is gone Yay!
This is a development thread. If you don't have something to contribute other than 'i hope this works' or 'thanks!', just hit the 'thanks' button. Let's keep this thread clear so that we can get some work done.
Here is the thought:
We all know that the implementation of wifi calling for the t989 is done through a new method.
HOWEVER, this should not preclude the possibility of getting the old (app) method of wifi calling working.
If it can work on the hd2, a non-android device, there is at least a chance we can implement it here.
----
I have started by looking at the implementation on ICS for the sensation.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1435743

http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=850699&d=1326220923 -- (AOSP)
I have so far been able to get the rom to boot after flashing, and am getting as far as the 'did you know that you can make calls through wifi?' pop-up when first connecting to a network.
However, it is crashing upon opening the app.
I am in the process of taking apart the zips and taking a look at the various changes (build.prop, amongst others) that the zips are making to the system. I assume we would need to build them for a touchwiz rom rather than either of the above implementations....i'll hopefully put in a few hours tonight to see what happens.
Anyone else who wants to tackle this, help would be appreciated. PM me for my gtalk info.

This is on my list, and I'm going to work on it together with the noise reduction / call echo problem.
They're serious enough issues that are probably related in some fashion. I'll share my findings as they occur!
Only issue I have is no signal or data after flashing this..
Its likely because the on off toggle and related settings are knit into the tmo Settings.apk

Yes I understand that I have a new Sim card. Got it 2 months ago. and have been using Wifi calling since.
when i did a tmobile stock rom, wifi calling depending on more then just "wificalling.apk" in the apps folder. Just pointing that out.

I just added the libraries to the build prop to see if it would work if it knew where they were. I would say its probably an apk thing.
its probably not going to work with out ims-service.apk you guys are missing that. since this is the service that connects to the Tmo voip server
There's more to it than that as well, I believe.
I also see traces of it in the ICS leak...although my eyes may be deceiving me.
As soon as I get back to my home computer I'll try to dig in...I may pass out first though

You should just post the logcat here as a pastebin link that everyone could look at them
do "logcat *:E" it will only output errors and fatal errors. so its not full of shyte no one needs.

I wasnt sure if the original wificall.apk needed it but since I changed that to the one on the t989 2.3.6 I guess it doesnt need it. I was going to eliminate it once the rest was working and pare it down to the necessary parts. I did take it out of script which prevented the signal from getting killed by the script.

I looked into that actually and for a while did not realize that the OP mentioned using the old Kineto system.
T989 has some specific Wifi-Calling instructions in libaudio.so....so unless we can work around that (haven't truly attempted yet) we may be SOL on using the T989 WifiCalling
ONLY FOR ICS LEAK-BASED ROMS
ONLY FOR ICS LEAK-BASED ROMS
If you have Gingerbread, don't read further!!
Auto-rotate! :-D
Specifically, this fixes the accelerometer issue altogether. Its a deep fix, going down to the driver level. So games and camera work too.
This should work on all ICS leak-derivative ROMs, including my own (and will be baked into my upcoming release).
Long story short, this was made possible due to the ATT Galaxy Note leak (a cousin of the T989)
In theory we can now start pushing out functional ICS ROMs. But there is still the pesky call echo issue, looking into that.
Feel free to include it in your ROMs...although I do ask for some credit since I spent countless hours in the past few days investigating and investigating. My eyes are sore
Warning: Please make a NANDROID backup prior to flashing this.
You never know what can go wrong.
There is no need to clear Dalvik, but I'd do it anyway if I were you.
This file needs to be flashed with ClockworkMod
So you can put it on your SD card, boot into recovery, and install it.
Be careful though. Make a backup first. Always make backups.
IMPORTANT
After installation, remember to:
1) Enable auto-rotation on your launcher / whatever you prefer. Remember we had a little era of no accelerometer so its a little bit foreign ATM
2) Calibrate your Gyroscope via the Settings -> Display menu

Works perfect. no problems during the flash. Just make sure whatever launcher you are running has the auto rotate turned on.
Everyone thought that this would be a problem only source could fix... Congratulations on proving them wrong
Can someone else who hasnt applied the mod download android sensor or something else that will interact with the gyroscope.
It seems like its working in reverse. left and right seems to control for and aft.

Folks, I'm speaking for all of us that subscribe to threads. Instead of posting "Thanks man" or something similar, just hit the "Thanks" button! We don't all need to be alerted when Joe Shmoe writes "thank you". Thanks for your indulgence!
Confirmed working on EasyDoesIt. Awesome work!
this is fantastic. Was hoping it would fix Instagram, but it doesn't. I guess there are more issues with our ICS ports than just the auto-rotate. But we're getting closer!
Thank you so much! I can FINALLY play temple run and Asphalt
I'm running CM10 nightlies for a while now my camera has been failing. Everytime I try to take a picture, after a couple of seconds, it just freezes. Has anyone had this and tried fixing it?
So turns out that Smart Stay is causing the problem because it is trying to access the camera the same time I am trying to use it. So to fix it I just added any app that uses the camera to the exception list option in smart stay. Finally an end to this annoying problem. (or is it? ...I really hope it is.)
I had the same problem until I switched to jelly bean jellybomb rom instead. Try it, u will love it

I'll definitely give it a try, but what about if I still want to use cm10? Has anyone had any progress fixing this problem or at least finding the source of it?
In the changelog for cm10 it says the next nightly will introduce a "Fix Ignore Keyevents", maybe, just maybe, that will help!

I have odined back to stock, and wiped&&formatted everything possible. I did come across a thread (the link I have since lost) that mentioned something about possibly gapps causing the problem. Just know I had the idea that maybe because I am using JustinBean's inverted gapps there is a problem. I will investigate and see if that helps.
I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. So even after the update, no change.. still freezing - GREAT! So then I started getting really aggrivated and started to uninstall apps that "Pimp My Rom" included, and I thought flash might be the culprit. And then it hit me, this is a camera problem right? Well then what app uses the camera? SMART STAY of course, and it made even more sense because it takes a sample at a certain interval and that explains that I am able to use the camera only for the short amount of time (always the same amount of time). So to fix the problem I just set in the exception list in smart stay an exception for any app that uses the camera. I really hope this is the fix I need. Thanks for your input guys!!
I am trying to figure out how to add 180 degree rotation. I am on the wicked x7.3 Rom. I love the Rom, would like to add this for when I use navigation. I charge the phone when using nav and put the phone in my cup holder. Can't place it the right way due to the charging cord. Anyway, it did work with the xposed firmware, however I was getting SystemUI process. When making and receiving phone calls.

Not sure about wicked, but yea, xposed with wanam does 180. I'm not having any issues though, with running xposed/wanam.

Again, it works when I do this, but then the phone calls get messed up. I found some old post with a file to put in the build.prop. it did nothing for me though, nothing changed.
To 180 degree
windowsmgr.support_rotation_180=true;
maybe the code is different with this ROM, I have no idea.

what exactly happens with your phone calls cause i have it working with wanam in xposed and my calling is good
edit: re read your OP does this happen when your phone is upside down? or in every direction?
I am currently using APEX, it also allows home screen rotation, but it only goes to landscape, not 180 degree. I will try to install NOVA later tonight or tomorrow and see. Thanks for the idea!
com.android.systemui or something like that. I can re install and let you know if you need the exact. This is when I hit the dial button or when I receive a call. I can't answer for several seconds until the screen refreshes.
It happens in any direction.

So I went back and unchecked everything I could in Wanan, then checked lock screen rotation and enable rotation, then installed with Xposed. Now all is well. I will do one thing at a time now on and test as I go.
There were several things checked by default I think? So something was corrupting the UI I guess. I will update if something changes, thanks for all the input.
