I got one of those clear hard plastic full body covers and I can't remove the thing to get my SD card out. It's the one they sell in the t mobile stores.

Its tough. I bought the same one the day I bought my G2, put it on, struggled to get it back off to change sims and never put it back on. You can get it off but its a bish.

I just got my new slide a couple of days ago & just realized the it didn't come w/ anything to put it in. The G1 had a case that was black and the mytouch 3G had that black case that had those strings. I wonder why we didn't get anything w/ the slide? You would think people would want something for it seeing as we (or @ least i) had one w/ my G1 and MyTouch 3G (had to get rid of in less than 2 days cuz having no physical keyboard drove me crazy). What do u think or how do u guys feel about this???

I just got root and flashed cm6. I was redownloading apps, one which was till touch to talk. The app will not work because in my settings, about phone, mobile number, it says unknown. How do I get it to say my number? The area is greyed out so I cannot click. Thanks in advance.

Try a fresh install some people said that helped or try a different rom and see if it shows up if it doesn't call tmo and talk to them and say your number isn't showing up in settings it could be on tmo end

Maybe I will try a different rom. I called tmo but they didn't help cause they had to send an ota update which doesn't go through to the phone. Any recommended roms?

Well try or the crmod updated rom its the closest to stock so if it doesn't do it then it is a tmo problem

Ahh .. found the fix. Cyanogen actually implemented a setting in cm6 due to this problem. Go to settings-call settings-additional settings-then number. Once you type it in, it writes it to the sim card.

i've done this, however if you reboot the phone or put it into airplane mode the number gets wiped and you need to reprogram it.

lol me either, except when i'm on the train - or flashing the nightlies in which case I need to redo it multiple times a day!
I noticed today that the voicemail number is also not saved to the sim card, or doesn't read it. Not a big deal since 123 dials voicemail. However it does prevent you from using visual voicemail and other services.

Hey I need help unlocking my old my touch 32b on t mobile I paid out of my contract because I never had service so I switched to sprint and got a hero however when I terminated my contract they never unlocked it is there a free way to do it because right now the mytouch is sitting in my room taking up space,it is fully rooted running a custom donut Rom and its deactivated however I did loose the sim card

Looks like the Internal for G2 specifically is A8181 which is what I need.
*Sigh* though even an internal ID of A8181 nor the T-Mobile Branding and such manages to get Hulu+ working on my phone (which is an actual T-Mobile G2), though it could just be a problem with Hulu in general as even a stock TMo rom wasn't working with it.
Did u go to the Hulu+ website and add ur device to be activated? This app works on my G2.

Yea I did and it does show there "Android - HTC T-Mobile G2 (tmobile)", I ended up getting it to work by using a hacked version of the hulu+ app, otherwise it would only let me browse and not watch anything.
