I'm trying to put a custom splash screen in place of the default.. (NOT the boot splash, black HTC Evo 4G with white background)(NOT the boot animation, yellow sprint 4G) but the one that comes up right before sense loads up (as described in the title) you can see which one I’m referring to by going to:
settings>applications>manage applications... click the "running" tab and find and click HTC Sense, then click "force close" button, and finally press the home button and there you have it.... Help me replace that and I will be very grateful to you... Thanks in advance fellow geeks!..
htcsetupwizard.apk
Not following you there.... what do i do with htcsetupwizard.apk?

That is indeed a splash screen! You can find quite a few of them here

When you first boot up, and see the white screen that says "htc EVO 4g", THAT is the splash screen, it is shown before the boot animation plays. You can find a bunch of different splash screens in the themes and apps section. As far as the other screen you mentioned, where after the phone actually boots into the rom, it will show a different HTC screen for a second or two while it loads the homescreen? Is that the one you mean? If so, I actually have no idea what it's called. Whatever it is, I know it can be modified, because I run Myn's rom, and with that rom, it shows "Myns warm two point two" in the bottom corner.

it is home_screen.9.png in the rosie.apk to get the rosie apk use root explorer or ES file manager navigate to system/app and pull out the rosie.apk. then you can use 7zip to replace the image. Or you can use ninjamorph off the market open. place the image you want on to your sdcard must be 480x800 ninjamorph start new project and navigate to same location now in ninjamorph go to res/drawable-hdpi and find home_screen.9.png clicj on it. now find the image you want and press it. Go back to the ninjamorph home and click fish project press ok then reboot after finished. You will most likely have to put your widgets back on the screen after reboot
I just rootet my phone with Oxygen and my splash screen annoys me. It show is the "Unsecure Kernel" splash screen.
Are there any places where there are some cool splash screens to the Galaxy S2 and perhaps a relatively easy way to install them?

Not really what I was thinking about.
There are two kind of splash screens when booting.
Firt the unanimated screen followed by an animation screen.
On a rooted SGS2 you can change both screens using market apps BUT your kernel also must support it.
To change the still splash screen i use "SGS2 Bootscreen Changer" by Hellcat.
To change the boot animation i use "ROM Toolbox" by Jared Rummler (JRummy16) (Interface -> Bootanimation).
Hope i could help and greetings!
which splash screen are you talking about? If your talking about the "Samsung Galaxy S II" one with the yellow triangle then you need the usb jig to get rid of the triangle, once you have gotten rid of the triangle you can then you can change that first screen with the above mentioned app (sgs2 bootscreen changer). If its the animation one you want to change however, that's simple enough. there are heaps of forums giving you step by step instructions with new ones to download. You just need a root explorer, i like ES File Exporer
hello there,
i've got HTC one x about 2 days ago, i think it's a v. good phone but now i have a problem
the phone had a very cool cube animation when you move between tabs as fingers are moved across the tabs ... for example in apps like "phone" you have (phone - people - favorite .. etc)... i used to have a cube animation while moving between those tabs ...
once i updated the software (which i didnt know it would change the phone like that), this animation is completely gone and it just shows a black box with the name of the tab on it ... how can i bring this animation back ?
one other thing, scrolling the home screen now goes forever, i mean when you scroll to the very last screen on the right, it jumps after that to the screen on the far left and goes looping like that .... how can i disable that feature and make it as it was
hope my questions are quite clear ...
Thanks
For cube animation: with the latest relase of android and htc sense, cube animation was off, but if you want, you can flash ViperX because the dev have added this option
For second question: Do you talk about infinite scrolling?
If yes, you can disable it, always, with ViperX rom.
With stock rom you can't disable infinite scrolling and activate cube animation
Flash a custom Rom matey

I see many videos where they say how enable the HTC logo in HTC One. Is it possible do the same thing in the new HTC One (M8) and so remove the on screen buttons?

Probably not, I would say no... With the HTC One the space over the logo was touch sensitive cause there where 2 capacitive buttons on the sides but with the New HTC One there is no sense to make it touch sensitive since the buttons are on the screen
I can confirm that this apparently is not possible. When I went to a Verizon store yesterday to pick up my M8, there was actually a Senior Technical Manager from HTC there. We chatted, and I asked him if there was a capacitive strip under the logo bar - he said that unfortunately, there was not. He did say, however, that there is other hardware under it. So at least it's not completely just there for no reason
With that much bezel on the bottom of the phone...really just should have put actual capacitive buttons there on the black where the HTC logo is and given us that screen real estate back from the virtual buttons
Thanks for the answers, now I just have to hope that in future they'll add new gesture for go back and go to the home and so deactive the on screen key because with the same sense version and settings in my HTC One when I'm in Internet I can see more display than the new One that I tried on store. The same thing in many menus like settings.

first of all, i know my english it's not so good, so sorry about that.
i saw all arround the internet that can't be developed a softkey on the logo, like it was on the m7, they say there are no sensors on the bottom of the screen. but i saw a glitch, or a resnonse of the first pixel line of my m8. can't the developers do something about that? i think this is really possible.
here is my test:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we89csX9TnU&feature=youtu.be
I don't see how that is a "glitch". On the video, while he is intending to tap the HTC logo, but it looks like his skin is actually touching the screen just above the logo "black bar". And the phone is doing what its supposed to do when you touch the bottom of the screen.
It's not possible. If you manage to put in another screen that fits the phone exactly including the HTC logo bar.......then yes.
