Here latest RUU for BellMobile Vision aka Desire Z
http://www.multiupload.com/PDMCMMG96H
Enjoy!
I'm interested in trying other ROMs but I would like to be able to return to my current stock ROM if it doesn't work out. Currently I'm running a Bell ROM, but the version is more recent than this one.
Specificially, I'm running 1.34.666.5 with Radio 12.28b.60.140eU.26.03.02.26_M.
Right now, both the firmware and the radio versions are newer than anything on the xda site. Would it be possible for you to obtain a newer RRU? I have checked both the Bell and HTC sites and couldn't find a download link for any RRU.
If it isn't possible, can I expect my phone to update to the current versions OTA if I give it this ROM?
Is it possible for extract the current radio ROM from my phone itself?
I apologize in advance if I'm asking these questions in the wrong place

if you permroot/s-off your phone. you can do a full backup using clockworkmod recovery. however, you do NOT want to flash official ruu's and such, if one is older then the one your on or from another brand, this will happen: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838484
if you want to try this rom, it will have to be A.made into an update.zip rom w/hboot, radio, and recovery all REMOVED, or B. take just the system.img out of it and flash JUST the system.img in fastboot in bootloader (not the fast boot in sense). "fastboot flash system system.img"...you will then need to re-permroot, but skip all the s-off/hboot stuff, you will still be s-off.

Yeah, I need the Radio 12.28b.60.140eU.26.03.02.26_M Extracted from your ROM too. Because I flashed the WWE ROM and I'm having signal issues, compared to my brother who is using that current Bell ROM. If I have to run the Bell ROM to fix this, I'd do that too, but I can't find 1.34.666.5 only the 1.34.666.1 that's listed in this post.
*EDIT*
So... I flashed this posted RUU "[RUU] RUU_Vision_BellMobility_WWE_1.34.666.1_Radio_12.28 b.60.140e_26.03.02.18_M2".
But found the kernel is different, so I couldn't S-OFF to get recovery back on. So... I had my brother S-OFF his phone and make a
Nandroid of his phone running 1.34.666.5. I then proceeded to flash "RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.5_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155556_signed" back onto my phone, and then rooted, S-OFF, flashed clockwork" and then recovered using my brothers Nandroid backup. So if you flashed this, the steps are as follows to get back to the original Bell ROM.
1. Flash "RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.5_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155556_signed"] ROM via multiupload.com /67NZB9NER1
2. Root
3. S-OFF
4. Install Clockwork Recovery via ROM Manager
5. Reboot into Clockwork
6. Recover using Bell HTC Desire/Vision 1.34.666.5 Nandroid Backup via my upload here multiupload.com /6SETLDCPJE
Hope that helps some people who are stuck!
PS To Flash the WWE ROM you might need a Gold Card, I used one.
I'd like a tutorial on how to extract just the radio from the WWE roms. If we could get them as .zip's, loading them with recovery would be very beneficial. I know that if you install a WWE update through HBOOT, you will lose your root and it will return your phone to s-off. Its a bit of a pain of having to go through the rerooting process every time.

Did my post help anyone?
I just wanted the radio to flash over my current ROM to see if there was any difference in network reception for us in the uk. But I got a new sim now which seems to be a lot better.
I'm sure your nandroid will be useful to others.

Ok, so now that I've unlocked my device using the new gfree method, and have true radio S-OFF and SuperCID, I believe that I could now flash any provider image and return to my backup or a stock provider image at any time. I'm right, er, right?

I am not 100% sure on this myself, but I think it should be ok now. Before the problem was that you could flash an older ROM, and it would first off flash the stock HBOOT over the previous eng HBOOT that was giving you S-OFF. So this would immediately put you back to S-ON. However, now with radio S-OFF you will stay at S-OFF in the flashing process, because the change is made in the radio configuration partition, which won't be touched by the flash.
.zip file for the bell rom
Is it possible to make a update.zip from this rom? can anybody tell me what the stock radio is on the bell 1.34.666.5 rom is?
is it: 12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.18_M2

yes i sure have. the problem i have is since i flashed the world rom to debrand my bell dz i lost the stock radio and cant find a way to flash it back. and the bell ruu on here is the old one and when i flash that one to get the original radio the kernel is different so it wont let me root that one using rage or visionary
After holding vol down + boot key I get this:
ACE PVT ENG S-OFF
HBOOT - 0.85.2007 (PD9810000)
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.04.02.05_M2
SYSTEM INFO:
OS Ver-1.39.161.1
In the phone's settings I found this:
Kernel 2.6.32.28-cyanogenmod
Android version 2.3.1
Mod version CM7-RC0-DHD-PNK14
Compilation number GRH78
I have visionary installed and a console emulator, I can su, so the device is rooted. But I want to do an S-OFF. I tried it and it told me that I'm running on an unsupported kernel. I believe that it's because of the cyanogen mod installed instead of a stock rom.
What can I do in order to be able to do a S-OFF? What should I flash? How? Where do I get it?
Regards

Someone else may be able to correct me, but in the fist line, your phone already told you that it is S-OFF, hence why it is not letting you do this again, probably not down to the kernel you are running.

What do you want to flash? A new radio? a different rom? Did you want to upgrade your version of cyanogenmod to the latest version. Download link and instructions for installing Cyanogenmod 7.0.0 RC4
Desire HD Radio thread on XDA-Developers
Hope this is of some use.
It is actually down to the kernel, please read the tool's requirements.. But that being said, you already have at least ENG S-OFF. You can check radio S-OFF in bootloader's system info, if the CID is 11111111, you have it.
To get radio S-OFF, flash Raidroid stockify series ROM and then run the tool again. You also have to get older radio, read the requirements...
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
I checked my CID and it says VODAP304, so it's a branded device.
I searched the forums for Radroid stockify ROM and I found this thread, but the info says "These ROMs are simply debranded and rooted stock roms...".
Can I flash a debranded ROM on a branded device? Also, there are no requirements in that thread, so I'm noot really sure what radio should I get. In fact, there are a few ROMs and I don't know which one is the correct for my phone.
One last thing, I made a goldcard, because I red that that's a requirement in order to flash ROMs to a branded device. Am I right?
Regards
Hi, as you have ENG S-OFF and clockworkmod, the branded CID does not affect anything. Raidroid does not have requirements. Every DHD ROM is compatible with every DHD device.
If you want to use my radio S-OFF tool, get the radio I recommend in my tool's thread.
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
I found a quick guide here and a detailed guide here about how to flash a radio. But they both say that my device must be radio s-off and eng s-off, and my device is only eng s-off, right? (I'm not sure about that, so please correct me if I'm wrong).
So, in order to flash a radio I need to do a radio s-off, but I'm not able because of the kernel that I'm using.
What should I do? Is it safe to flash a Raidroid stockift ROM, then flash the radio that you recommend in the radio s-off thread, and then do the radio s-off?
f that's not the way, could you tell me what to do first?
Regards
Yep, do it like this:
Download & flash Raidroid 1.32.405.6
Flash older radio, do not care about radio s-off
Get radio S-OFF using my tool
Flash any radio & ROM you like
I'm flashing the ROM right now. Should I do a full wipe? (I'm looking this guide)
It is always good to do that.
Great! I have been doing this all day, and I finally made it!
Now I'm planing to install the Android Revolution HD 4 ROM, so I'll make a full wipe again, but what if next month there is a 4.0.1? Should I do another full wipe?
Anyways, that is just a small question, as everything else went perfect. Thank you so much for you support!

Well it depends, it is always good to do a full wipe.. Mike will give instructions about that when the time comes. Full wipe is not always necessary.

Hi everyone.
I'm going to flash the latest Android Revolution Rom. I've done it before, so i should be fine, but i have some questions :
- I'm a bit confused with ENG S-OFF and Radio S-OFF. How can i know whith certainty if my phone is ENG S-OFF/Radio S-OFF ?
-I'm flashing the radio which is recommended with the Android Revolution Rom. Should i flash the Radio before the rom or after ?
Thanks.
With only radio off, it would say ship-off in your bootloader. This means you still needa eng-off.
With eng off, it would say eng-off but you still needa check radio. Check sys info if your CID has only ones in them rather than HTC something.
If you have both eng-off and massive 1s in CID, your fine

Radio s-off is enough for roms. Its also enough to flash radios aswell, though its different method than what's promoted in the dhd section.
Over in the Inspire section we flash them by using pd98img zips and flashing through hboot. I think its easier as I can download a radio on the go and test it out straight from my phone. But to each their own
No Hay de Queso No Mas de Papa
So in my bootloader, it says ENG S-OFF. However, the CID is HTC_203 so i suppose i don't have Radio S-OFF. But isn't it mandatory to flash new Rom/Radio ?
The one-click Radio S-OFF doesn't work with me. I have the "unknown error, probably connection". Should i flash back the stock rom before attempting to radio S-OFF ?

Hi reneftw,
It does not matter. Every ROM runs with most (or all) of the radios. If you already have the recommend radio, there is no need to flash it at all.
I have flashed the recommend radio after my first custom ROM.
I do not have the recommended radio, but my Phone works very good. Is it necessarily to flash the right version of the radio?

Hi Kaidjin,
it is recommend to flash the Radio S-OFF, because it is more permanent. If you flash a locked bootloader (by mistake or by auto update or whatever), you still have the SuperCID from the Radio S-OFF.
Try another USB port, cable and PC. Try newest HTC sync. Do u have USB debugging enabled?
Do you accept the SU Request during the flash of Radio S-OFF? If your screen timeout is too short, maybe you dont see this request.
I recommend to always flash Radio S-OFF and Eng S-OFF (in this order, but it works the other way too).

If your phone works fine, it is not necessary. If you have issues with battery drain, signal strength, GPS or WiFi, try the recommend.
None of the above. Thanx for the help.
General consensus is latest radio does help with battery life and reception. I suppose if your have no issue with them then it's fine. But I am sure everyone loves improved battery life.
And yes it is recommended to have both radio and eng off before you flash radio.

I once was in your positions and yes, I had to recover the 1.32 sense rom to get it work, then recovered again to the existing rom.
But a friend of mine had no problem with CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1, which I was also using, though.
Hello there!
I have flashed this radio: 6th September 2011: Radio_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19_M - HTC 3.06.405.1 WWE to my Desire HD, then the proper RIL.
I used the following sources and guides and followed them step by step:
How to Flash a Radio.IMG Win/Mac by leith54
The HTC Desire HD Radio Thread by Drakknar
Radio Interface Libraries by jkoljo
And now my phone is unable to find a cellular network.
I have Cyanogenmod 7.2, Radio S-OFF, ENG S-OFF, SuperCID, ClockWorkMod Recovery.
I would appreciate any kind of help or ideas how to make it working.
Thank you!

But I'm just wondering why is it that this version works properly and the other one doesn't?

Make sure that u flash a radio that is for your phone and not the Inspire 4G....besides being similar hardware are not the same (different frequencies), so always double check that the radio is compatible with your device and that the download is not corrupted by checking md5sum....:good:

Perhaps the problem was by flashing a different ril?

Wait, what are you talking about now?
From what i get, you had 7.2 flashed a radio and ril, problem started, flashed another radio, its a bit better.
If that is what you have done till now, then just full wipe and flash the rom again to see what happens.
I have no idea what you mean by downgrade.
Radios are subjective by location. You ought to keep each radio for a couple of days to see how it works for you. They also affect battery usage and such.
Hence, just reflash the rom after a wipe and check it out.

The rom won´t solve the issue. Whenever you flash a radio you need to flash the matching ril. I have sent you and email. You will find all the information there, but ROMs don't flash radios but RILs....so if you change the radio just flash the correct ril for it.
Then you need to give the device time to settle...at least 2 or 3 days...

Unless Im mistaken, non sense roms all use the same ril. He is running cm7.2. He then flashed a radio and the corresponding ril, which in my assumption would be its for a sense rom.
Afterwards he flashed a different radio keeping all the same.
If he flashes the rom again,he will have the ril which is compatible with the rom. Thus possibly correcting the issue.
Correct me if I wrong.

Yeah that's correct I missed the CM7 thing...there's no need to flash RIL...and I guess that the radio is useless in non sense roms...probably he should go back to his original radio and then start all over again
Hi, I was just wondering what happens to custom radio when I flash stock rom? Will I get the stock radio back or do you know where I can download the stock radio?
Thanks

Which radio were you running and which one are you running now? It all depends on how you root your device. If you unlock the bootloader, then nothing happens, but if you run the hack kit, you will have the lastest 2.3.3 radio, but as you would be S-OFF you can flash the radio you want back again.

Radios are never a must. You can use ARHD with the radio you have at the momento and the rom will run ok. Radios are suggested by the developers as they test or assess several radios in the process of developing the rom. However, you can still use the radio you have and probably will never experience any bug.
If you want to flash a new radio, you can always go back to the previous one as long as that file is to download. Check the radio threads to see how to flash a radio and always make sure that you check that the md5sum match.
If you need further help use the guide in my signature...
Nothing will happen to radio if you flash a stock ROM in recovery. The radio only changes if you manually flash one, or if you run an RUU. Radios are region specific and if your country uses less common frequency bands, then the one for your region will be the best. Latest is not best for radios.

12.56.60.25x_26.10.04.03_M
Settings->About->Baseband version
