Hi guys,
I was doing some changes on stock browser settings but it suddenly crashed. Now it's always crashing. I've restarted the phone but it still crashes. It says com.android.browser force closed but i cannot find it anywhere on applications for clearing the cache. I also couldn't find it on titanium backup for restoring.
What can i do??
Is there anyone have a zip version for flashing it?
In application settings click on the ALL tab, it is listed there as internet, there you can clear the data.

I have a few apps suddenly disappear when I try to install it back it is like updating the app saying all data will save but the app just won't install. I check under data the app's data still exist but when I delete those data hoping the app will install again but just won't work. Is there a way to fully remove app's data & everything so I can install the app again?
I have a backup of my Gingerbread version (2.3.3) working fine.
Yesterday, I finally found a Brazilian firmware to my I9000 and tried to test it.
Now, I'm using the Froyo version (2.2.1) downloaded from Kies and I'm having a problem to restore some files.
All my games and apps from Market are restored without any problem.
When I try to restore my contacts I get the message: Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped.
The process android.process.acore has stopped.
I have to FC them and it enters in this looping.
I tried to restore only the data (the green ones) without any luck.
I tried all kind of settings in the TB, but without success.
What can I do ?
Thanks a lot.
Factory reset first .

Thanks, but I already tried it before posting.
This problems seems to be related with Google Account Sync.
I'm not sure that restoring from a newer version to an older one will work.
Personally I never restore system data and settings with TB (except the sms storage), only applications. I believe that it is more safe to do the basic configurations manually than restore it from backup.
I use my Google accounts to store the contacts, they sync without issues.
Restoring system data like that never works well via Titanium.
I would go back into recovery, clear cache and dalvik, then do a factory reset.
Go back to Titanium, restore the apps you wish WITHOUT data. Then sync your gmail to get your contacts back.
Create a google account just for the contacts and calendar, thats what I did...
Thanks a lot for the tips.
I tried all these tips but didn't work.
I had to restore only my programs and games from market and imported my contacts from my sim card.
As always happens, I had to edit every contact, because the first name always is in the last name field and even having the option to not show the contacts from sim card, I the same contacts twice in the list and had to del them.
The worst problem was after restoring my programs and games from market. They are working fine, but market can't identify them as a file already downloaded.
I tried to use the Market Doctor option but it didn't work.
I had to download them again from market.I think it happens because I'm not using an English version anymore.
At least after trying a lot, I'm using a Brazilian firmware downloaded from Kies.
No more problem of running a program with Brazilian language, but as the firmware was in English, these programs run in English language too.
I have an problem with the android market app, whenever I open it, it force closes coming up with 'application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly.' I don't know if this is related, but I was clearing out junk apps to the SD card and I thought it might be the DownloadProvider.apk which I moved but after restoring it, it still crashes. I have also downloaded the .apk file and tried to reinstall it, but it still closes. Any thoughts?

I have the same, but only when I tap install on an app. And when I want to update apps. Now reflashing the phone.
I was getting the same thing, with the market repeatedly FCing with a 'vending' error. Was also unable to apply my MIUI OTA ROM update.
Clearing the market and download manager's cache and data wasn't enough for me. I fixed this by going in to recovery and wiping the cache (and nothing else). Worked fine after that. Seemed to be a problem with corrupted cache or download list I think.

I've the same problem. I have a rooted Arc S and everything ran smooth. This morning I got into Market and tried to download the wetter.com application (weather widget). Suddenly the market closed and every time I try to open it, got the com.android.venting message and it closes. I've tried crearing the market, uninstall market update, nothing worked. How can I go into recovery mode and wipe cache, as you mentioned? Maybe it solves my problem too.
Hello, I have just bought a new G4, and rooted it perfectly, by flashing the rooted system with adb.
That same day, gmail starts to pop up errors and force close after restoring data from TB (my fault!) so I decide to uninstall the upgrades. Play store get frozen on "uninstalling..." untill I have no other option but rebooting the system. Now, gmail is completely gone. Uninstalled. But if I try to reinstall it via play store, TB, aptoide, even downloading the apk, I get the error message "insufficient space, try uninstalling the app before. Error -506"
I have cleared caches, system cleaner, I have deleted (moved to the SD) the dead gmail files at system/data... but the error persists! Now I have run out of ideas, please help.
Forgot to mention, I can install or uninstall the rest of apps. It is only gmail the one that causes problems.
SOLVED: Finally, SDMaid was able to delete a corpse I have missed, so I could reinstall it as a user app. The force close was still there, but after some reboots, TB was able to turn it into a system app. Now it works again.
yo
just installed Kryptonian rom and first boot now I can barely get through the setup process because the GAPROXY has stopped relentlessly keeps showing up.
What is it, why is it being a nuisance?
I believe it's a Google service.
So what your saying is a toast message keeps popping up and you have to click OK? If so I would say get into settings/apps and delete cache data associated with all Google services.
Make sure to show system apps in settings and get the play services cleared too. Should take care of the issue.
(Edit: It's from installing rom and not clearing previous build data before wipe)
