Hi everyone,,, my problem in short is:
my sister got a new Desire HD Ace and I was trying to downgrade it for two days now with no luck,
The soft info is:
Android 2.2
Build number 1.83.415.4 CL327244
I looked for a shipped roms.com but found no rom with .415.4 so none are compatible with my current rom, also none of the method worked to root the device, ENG s off or radio or Gold card give me CID error etc,, anyhelp to downgrade the device is thanked!!!!

Are you sure you have HTC sense and the Android SDK installed properly on your computer? Apart from that I can offer no more help, sorry.
hey,, yah all are working, I already have another Desire HD rooted and ENG s OFFed before on same pc. its just this mobile has a build of Android that Visionary and z4root cant temp root yet, so i cant radio s off or eng s of it to flash custom roms, so i need help! thx

Stock Desire HD with Build 1.8x cannot be temp rooted.
You'll have to downgrade the build.
Try using the Goldcard method again.

Hey friend, Ive been at this for 2 days, tried the gold card with two MMCs 8 gb and 2 gb still give me CID error even after i do all the steps found online. but ill try again hopfully it will work, thx

I recommend at Step 7, do not mount your SD card using a card reader.
Slot the card back to your DesireHD and connect it to ur PC in 'Disk Drive' mode.
And proceed from there. Give it a try.

Ok!!!
I just managed to do the Gold Card method from the link you gave me, but with one little difference, I didn't use Gold card Tools, because It didn't give me MMC2 CID, so i googled and found a program called Rev Skills and gave me the real CID of the MMC2(memory card) and then reversed it and i used that CID to make the gold card, and now i\m flashing the 1.32 RUU from SD with no problem! thanks man owe u bunch!

"bootloader corrupt. do not reboot! seek help from xda"
to say he's a little worried is an understatement!

For anyone interested, I've been told that he found a solution:
Go to Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage apps and clear the data from Superuser. Reconnect your phone making sure you're on charge only, usb debugging. Run the Eng S-off tool and watch your phone as it attemps to push the data. Superuser should pop up asking to let the Eng tool have privs. Click allow and it should work fine.

Ok so long story short my usb connection is toast and I need to return my still rooted/s-off htc desire bravo to tmobile to get it repaired.
I have a reader for my sd card but it seems that i cant simply install an ota stock zip, i cant connect it to my pc and obviously i can't return it as is.
Can anyone push me in the right direction. Sorry but i've been googling for about an hour
could someone perhaps provided me with a stock backup i could restore would that work?

Uhm this isn't the right section, but you can flash a RUU by putting the OTA.zip on your SD-card, and renaming it to PB99IMG.zip
Boot into fastboot and press Yes (volume up)
You might need a goldcard for this, so better hope you made one before.

The nandroid will no help u to unroot anyway..Even a stock backup doesn't remove ur custom recovery, and the s-off
Explain much clearly the problem..Why do u need to send it to repair? If it obviuosly an hardware fault, "maybe" they don't care about the software..
EDIT: Anyway on http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Bravo there are some RUU available..This one is for tmobile uk (rename it as PB99IMG.zip e put on the root of ur sdcard, reboot ur phone on bootloader, wait and accept the update, u should noot need a goldcard if ur phone is tmobile uk branded)

Then you want a nandorid backup of a tmobile stock rom? I think u will not find it, u can then flash a custom rom closer to a stock one..

But the Revskills Goldcard generator system has completely changed!
How can I create a goldcard for her Wildfire S ??

Well you don't need a goldcard unless your gonna s-off it CDMA but you could just go to htcdev.com and unlock bootloader from there.
download the program called SimpleGoldCard and search on Google for instructions
its really simple i did it before and works like a charm

When I run the Rom updater from the htcdev website I got an identification error. With the goldcard in the phone I was able to update the Rom fine...
I'm getting the same identification error with her phone...
I know the process to create a goldcard, but the .img generator that is linked to in the program has changed and I cannot seem to create one any more... Any ideas where I can get the img made??
am I really the only person encountering this error?!?!
if so I must be very unlucky!
