Bluetooth Battery Burn?

Just curious, how much battery does having bluetooth on burn? I'm getting 4 days if life, if left standby right now.
no offence intended here, but why are you even bothered about how much bluetooth is using. Its not like its wifi and it eats the battery power up in an hour ,is it?

Best radio for battery life?

I read in another thread someone suggest that the .08 radio is the best battery saver. Has anyone done any testing on this at all, and could share their findings?
I'm currently on the .20 radio but would definitely be interested in any advantages another radio might provide. I'm running Neophyte's Froyo Sense 1.71
Well I definitely noticed some increase in overall battery life with 08 but when actually using the device for surfing the web or navigation the battery is still very weak in my opinion.
So don't expect any miracles.

On .20 using Pays-Desire rom - I too have seen an improvement in battery life but having installed Juice plotter I can see there is no significant change in battery usage when using the internet - it discharges at the same rate as before. What might have improved my battery life is the calibration of the battery - there is a thread about this on here, and I think it works.
I also notice the battery holds on for longer when the device is not doing anything (i.e. standby). On Juice Plotter I get a more or less flat line when the device is on standby with data connections off (I use Juice defender for that). But when it activates 3G etc then it starts discharging relatively quickly: 10% in half an hour of browsing - which means you go from a full to flat battery in 5 hours of surfing. As per previous roms under Froyo and Eclair.

[Q] optimize HTC Desire HD

Hi new to the forums. Recently got desire hd. Have to say its a pretty nice piece of kit. Just wondering if anyone knows any tricks and tips to make it run at full speed as sometimes it lags (with usb debugging on) and sometimes it says the sim card has been removed when it hasnt. These are just minor errors. Also and tips and tricks on how to improve battery life. Its decent for a smartphone but anyway to make battery last longer.
Also what is rooting and why should i do it. What advantages and disadvanges are there to using a custom ROM.
If you whant to improve your battery life try to downlowd from market app "mysettings". That is good app for fast adjusting screen brightnes, turn on/off wifi, gps etc.

Yep she sure is!!
As for the simcard, are you sure it's properly inserted? I never had that issue. Yeah the phone tends to have a little lag here and there, that's where a custom rom will help since they have been optimized further then a stock rom.
As for battery levels there are things you can do to improve battery life.
#1 Don't use the phone
#2 Stop using the phone
#3 Why are you still using the phone?!?
:joke:
Seriously though to improve battery life you could make your emails/weather/news/etc update every few hours rather then minutes, use wifi and 3g only when needed, adjust brightness level, make the screen timeout faster so when your not using it it will shut off, flash custom rom will also help with battery.
I've noticed that screen is the biggest juice drainer and the longer it's on the faster the battery will go. Get CurrentWidget from the market, handy tool for seeing how much your battery is currently being drained.
closed 3g network only 2g network phone
Your battery life will improve drastically in the coming weeks.
Once your battery has been conditioned and the "honeymoon" period ends (2-3 weeks) you should last at least a whole day with medium to high usage.

Talking on phone and battery life?

I don't know if anyone on here are heavy phone users like talking on the phone for 2 hours or longer at a time and I just wanted to know if battery drops a lot when using the phone? thanks!
From Samsung's web site, the battery talk time is 8.7 hours. I think this makes sense if we are talking in the good signal reception area (the actual battery consumption would be really different based on the signal strength).
So, 2 hours talking time is about equivalent of 25% of battery consumption. It's just about the same amount of battery consumption when I play the music using speaker phone with about 90% of full volume for 2 hours and 3g turned on to get the lyrics.

Battery life on mobile network while using the phone

Hi guys,
I am on Jedi mind trick touchwiz Rom and was hoping it to increase battery life over aosp. I'm not seeing much improvement though.
The problem is that I am only on mobile network at work (no WiFi), and when I use the phone for maybe 1.5 hours in total, time to time, just browsing or messaging, the battery is down to maybe around 30 percent and the phone is very hot. The signal is decent (not good at some parts of the building) at the place. This is with Anker 2200mah Battery btw.
However, when I'm home and I use WiFi, and even with 1850mah stock battery, after browsing, paying games, messaging for about 2hours, my battery is at 57%.
I know that mobile network is supposed to drain battery but is there any app or tweak that can help to let me get some more juice out of the battery while on mobile network? I'm *not* talking about when the phone is on stand by. I already have 2X battery, but of course this app doesn't help when using the phone.
Sorry for the long post and please help me
Thanks!
