I don't know if anyone has had this, but whenever i record a video with my DHD, and play it back on the device, it goes out of sync, the video pauses for a second or two, and the audio carries on, then they both carry on as normal, only a second or two out of sync. I haven't tested it on a PC yet, but will update when I do, in the meantime, any ideas would help!
Thanks in advance!
Okay, just tried it on the PC with quicktime player, same result.
If it helps, i can upload a video?
Kind of an edit and a bump!
Now, when i play the file (on my DHD) It skips parts of the video, but stays out of sync and about 20 seconds from the end of the video, i get a message saying ''cannot play this file''

i tried the search, but couldn't find anything remotely covering my problem.
in the default htc youtube player you can change the settings to high quality. But the stream loads to 100% and plays for 30 seconds and then it starts loading again.... This is no streaming to me, is the defaut htc youtube player unable to stream? In the registry i found the location hklm\software\htc\youtube, but i have no idea wat i can change here. Also google was very little to no help. Hopefully you guys can provide a solution, because i kindof like the little app.
nobody got this problem? or we all got this problem, but there is no solution?
guess nobody got this issue.......
Hi - I can shed some light on it I think. I was fiddling with youtube player yesterday and found some movies did this and others didn't. Depending on the content and the size (and the quality obviously), the video buffers the first few seconds, and then buffers in the background as it starts to play. Depending on your connection, the player might play the video back quicker than your device is downloading/buffering the stream.
so basically my provider connection is too slow..... CRAP! Cuz i just tested wit wifi and the same vid didn't have the problem...... sigh.........
is anyone else getting "sorry this video cannot be played" error when trying to watch videos? they all worked in my stock android video player on my nexus 1. Videos start playing and you can see them ok and hear them ok, but after a few seconds i get the error. Strange
Update: seems if i give it a minute or so to create all the thumbnails the videos will play, but if i go straight to another video, they won't play again
Really? Nobody??
actually i hv suffered from this problem for a long time
it says "sorry, this video cannot be played" in any sense rom if i play any video on it. even those recorded by using camcorder. but i can play them by clicking the thumbnail on the camcorder (on the bottom left of the camcorder after recording)
but still, i can view videos by using other apps
pls help thx
More people got this issue. I had it once, and I think I know the solution.
I had a lot of videos on my HOX. Some of them could'nt be played since I don't have the right codecs/decoders on HOX(example mkv files). Weird thing was they show up in gallery, but every video I played stoped after max 10 seconds of playing (even those that were working before).
After that I deleted the video's which can't play due missing the right codecs. After deleting them I tried again, and suddenly all movies work again.
Don't know if this is the right solution, but it worked for me. And an other work-around is to use a other media player. MX Player does a solid good job.
So i got my g3 this monday, and I really love it, exept for the fact that I have been unable to stream videos. Youtube (both app and via chrome/browser), vimeo, snapchat; non of these work.
I am however able to play recorded videos.
Sometimes the app shows an error, sometimes the picture freezes but the audio continues and yet sometimes the phone resets.
Has anyone had similar issues/ have any idea what to do? Really don't want to return it, so that will have to be a last resort.
Not rooted, recently reset.
Hello all,
Just got the phone last week and while I'm loving it otherwise, I've noticed an unfortunate thing when trying to use the HEVC codec option that is available to us in the Camera's option mode. Please check out this link with photos -> https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...eos-made-with-Samsung-Camera/m-p/326204#M3642 I've tried doing the live chat with Samsung TWICE now, and when I link them to that forum post I made, the samsung support tech just completely stops talking. Seriously. I stayed in the chat saying "hello? where are you? Can you please answer?" for 15 minutes once. No response at all.
As I mention in the thread though, the videos do play back perfectly in the phone's own video player, and using MPC-HC. With VLC, Windows Photos, Windows Media Player, and macOS quicktime, there are major glitches that make the video unwatchable.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? What an odd situation.
