You say you have the HTC HD2, presumably running Windows Mobile 6.5?? I thought Microsoft blocked access to the marketplace now? You should be able to find info on google about it. I have the same problem I'm afraid, along with many other users (if not all) I take it you've just bought your device without knowing that windows mobile is officially obsolete?
Yeah could say that. It worked for about a day. Now nothing. Completely stopped working. Its a shame cause im due an upgrade in november and was thinking about getting a windows 7phone. Am now thinking twice. Other than that problem i quite like the phone. :S

Hi Zainquiser,
First thing to check what ROM you are using? Is this a stock ROM or you have installed Custom ones.
If they are custom ones check with the cook if indeed there are such issue.
Mostly the network issue is related to the Radio.
probably your micro sim is messed up... did you face this problem after u bought ur phone or after weeks of using it?? previously when i first bought my one x i cut the sim wrongly so it was quite hard for the phone to detect the network. Fortunately after asking for a new micro sim my phone never gave me network problems till today...
Well I checked cm10 and android revolution hd roms....facing similar problems....and I have two micro sims....similar issues on both....right now m using android revolution Hd newest version....any modem u guys recommend that might solve the issue???

Hi, everyone. I'm the Google nexus user in Thailand. Now I've updated to Jellybean 4.1 but in my country can't use the Google navigation. I was found the topic that can use the Google navigation outside US but it can use only in Froyo.
Now I need to know how I use the navigation outside US with Jelly Bean. Thanks forward for helping me.
Thank you, )
I did a quick search and found this. I have no way to test this as I'm in the US. I'm interested to know if it works or not as I will be going to Thailand next year. I lived in Thailand for 9 years and usually never used a GPS except in Bangkok where it really comes in handy.
Please let us know and update this thread if you get it working.

If anyone is wondering... I live in Vietnam. Originally from USA but I'm out here for work. When I launch Navigation I get a pop up message saying that Navigation doesn't work or is available where I am. There are two options "Cancel" and "Get Directions". I touch the latter and I can still get directions just fine. I just verified as I am typing this. Selected "My Location" to "War Remnants Museum.." and it auto finished the address with no issues. Maybe it's different in Thailand? Maybe because my Google account is American? Who knows but it works just fine here and I have the latest version of Maps on 4.1.1.
Just FYI if anyone in Vietnam was wondering.
:good:
It's working fine in Germany (with German Google account), so I assume they just aren't allowed to offer that service officially/at all in Vietnam/Thailand.
You can get the directions but unless you are in a supported country it does not give you turn-by-turn navigation like a proper car GPS. I've used it in both the UK (where it is supported) and Thailand and it's a world of difference.

I think you can easily find that on teh interwebz, latest I've know it's working is gmaps 6.9.0.
Hopefully Google doesn't chase me down for this.

What i still don't understand is why Google bans any kind of distribution of their (modified) maps other from play store?

I guess they don't want to have problems with regulations etc. If they didn't launch it officially must've been its not supported and they don't want to be held responsible for any problems

must tell you all that I have two Samsung phone and one has a working Google Navigator and the second won't work.
The second phone always give the annoying message that says that it a not supported region.
Google is blocking all modded versions so that you can no longer sign in and recover saved routes places etc. Remember googles slogan ''don't be evil''? They are becoming more and more ''evil'' BTW gmaps 7 sux big time. No morr normal offline caching with visible rectangle etc. I was so annoid with google mking such things that I bought other nav app, quite cheap BTW and forgot about google

Ive got a Samsung wave with I purchased in Germany. 2 years should moved to the us where I tried to update the firmware. Idont remember specifically but the update did not go through and the phone did not work anymore.
I used the debug mode and installed some rom I found on the internet. Can't remember which. Now they phone works fine if it's on, but shows that screen with 2 laptops or whatever when powered on and NOT connected to a PC. Really annoying as it often turns off when I have it in my pocket.
I kinda gave up on it as I got a new phone. Now that I lost that one I am trying to fix the wave.
If anybody could hint me in the right direction in a mental friendly way it would be much appriciated.

you need to flash your phone with officially Kies or manually with Multiloader
Thanks alot guys that was way easier than I thought. When I tried it a year ago or whatever kies didn't update it and I thought it was because of the unofficial rom or because I am in the us.
I have another question so: I do not have access to paid apps and it seems to be a greatly reduced number of unpaid once. I am running bada 2.1.
Would it help if I have some relatives sent me a German prepaid card? I seem to remember that this worked in the past.
Are there any worthwhile custom roms out there?

I got it but it's useless. It is requesting paid subscription and I'm not going to do it as long as we have free apps for same thing.

For those not in the USA who can't wait, the APK is available from:
http://androidappsandgameshacking.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/microsoft-office-mobile-is-official.html
Works fine in the UK, at least, but yes you still need an Office 365 subscription (i have one).

I just used my hotmail account to register may not work for others as its possible you also need a MSDN account linked to your hotmail/live, its fully functional. Unfortunately MS has come a bit late in the game and there are far better and more mature office suites for Android so uninstalling for now
