I've noticed strange problem with my Desire Z (1.72.405.2, no root)...
When wifi is on I can turn radio fm app and it works, i can also turn app off and turn on again (and it works), but when wifi is off I can't turn on radio FM - app is loading to 95% and hangs. Also when Radio FM is on and working while wifi is on, disabling wifi causes to hang radio FM - music stops.
After I try to run app when wifi is off it's impossible to run radio FM app - phone restart is needed.
Wifi does not have to be connected - it just has to be turn on.
I can't tell if it is 1.72 problem, because I upgraded to 1.72 just after unboxing DZ.
(factory reset didn't help)
Does anyone have similar problem ?

Hi ,
When using my Desire with my Jabra SP700 car speakerphone. I get bluetooth dropouts. It will disconnect then reconnect and so on. I have found that this is when I have wifi on. When wifi is turned off then all works fine.
This was never a problem with my HD2 or my Touch HD i had before. Now HTC are saying that it is like that and there is nothing they can do. This must be a fault or bug somehwere.
Any help is appreciated.

I use TuneIn and AOnline to stream radio but whenever my screen turn off, it also stop the radio. How can i fix this problem?
(It's happened when i use Wifi only, I also choose Never for Wifi Sleep policy. Streaming with 3G is ok)
The WiFi driver is going into an " energy" mode where the transfer rate is dropping dramatically. It may be to low for your radio stream.
If you have rooted your phone you can change the wifi module whose energy mode is not as deep as the original one:

If you want to make FM radio works in Cyanogenmod 10.1.
There are the rules :>
1) Before you turn on the FM radio, you need to use music player to play songs. (to have FM radio with sound)
2) You must turn on the bluetooth before you turn on the FM radio.
3) After you turn on the FM radio and "seeking & playing" the channel, you can turn off the bluetooth.
4) If you wanted to switch channel. you must enable bluetooth.
5) If you hadn't turned on the FM radio before you turn on the bluetooth. you needed to reboot the device to make radio works again.

SO The steps are :
Turn on the music player => Play songs => Turn on the bluetooth => Turn on the FM radio => Seeking channels & start playing
OR :
Turn on the bluetooth => Turn on the music player => Play songs => Turn on the FM radio => Seeking channels & start playing
Then you can turn of the music player or bluetooth if you want.
but if you wanted to switch channel you must enable bluetooth again.
If it don't work. reboot the device. and do it again.
Hallo all,
I'm running Cyanogenmod 4.2.2 on my HTC one X and my network (calls and 3g) sometimes shutdown and restart. (has it something to do with my bluetooth being on?
(the icon in the statusbar will go black, if I wait 1 to 2 minutes I have reception again.)
It's a fresh install, nothing modified, I did a full wipe of my device.
I didn't have this problem on my Stock Rom.

My phone is bluetooth connected to my car radio, when i get out of the car (the bluetooth connection is disconencted) also my calls/3g aren't working.
Hey everyone.
This is my first android headunit, Xtrons PQS1053BL with Android 10.0 for my BMW E53.
2 issues I have and I am wonderring if its just how these units normally operate, could be changed in settings, or they are faults in the unit I have.
1. The Wifi. I have a 4g usb data dongle pluggeed in for the wifi, it works fine when connected, but every time I turn the car off and the unit reboots or goes to sleep, the wifi turns off and needs to be restarted in settings. If I look in settings the wifi is actually switched off after sleep or reboot. Sometimes when I am drving the wifi will just switch off to, not lose connection, just switch off.
I would have thought just like a phone or laptop, the wifi would just be on and autoconnect from boot? Is this normal or a fault or am I missing somthing in the settings? I have spent a lot of time in the settings and also trying to google to issue. Would be great to have a wifi always on option.
2. If I have been listening to the radio or bluetooth audio when I turn the car off, it will always boot to this app first. This is an issue as I am running Ibus-app and I need this to boot first so the functions will work when I start the car. Even if I have another app in the foreground running while radio is going, it will always select the radio or BT audio as prioity on boot instead of the app I was using .
Is there a way I can stop the unit from booting to its last state? just so its a fresh boot each time?
I cant find a setting for this either.
