Hi ,
When using my Desire with my Jabra SP700 car speakerphone. I get bluetooth dropouts. It will disconnect then reconnect and so on. I have found that this is when I have wifi on. When wifi is turned off then all works fine.
This was never a problem with my HD2 or my Touch HD i had before. Now HTC are saying that it is like that and there is nothing they can do. This must be a fault or bug somehwere.
Any help is appreciated.

Hello
i have a problem with my bluetooth headset. its a hama voice pro
mye phone is a htc touch pro
pairing works ok
if i klick on the phone button there is also a little headset icon so i suppose its in hands free mode.
but i cant receive calls, in fact if i try calling myself (from another phone) a voice tells me that i'm not reachable. like if i had no network.
if i then turn bluetooth off i'm reachable again and everything is fine.
same with bluetooth on but no headset paired.
anybody encountered this problem before and/or has a solution or something ?
thx
seemed to be a strange networking problem. now resolved i think or hope
Hi all, I have a new Bluetooth headset h680 which I have paired with the desire, its connected and when on a call the person on the other end can hear me but I cannot hear them....anyone have a similar problem?
No, but only tested Plantronics 975. which works fine.
I Have a problem with the bluetooth as well. The connection and pairing are OK but there is no sound coming out of the headset.
I've google it and it seems there is a general problem with the bluetooth audio.
I also have a bluetooth problem.
I paires with my car kit (jvc kd-r711) and after a few seconds i get a error saying "headset disconnected"
I've read similair problems since the froyo update. Anyone else have the same problems?
@johnsten
Yes, I have the same problems with my Volkswagen Golf 6 navi!
At first, the phone connects just fine. No problems at all. Made several calls, phone book is synced automatically. All fine..
But then after some time it gets bugged. When I tart my car, and the systems sais.. phone connected. My desire sais "headset connected", and after some seconds it says "headset disconnected". The Bluetooth connection remains active, but the phone is not in "headset" mode.
The only thing that really seems to fix this problem is a full system swipe, but then I lose all by programs and Angry birds savegames
I really want to get rid of this problem. Any ideas?
Grtz, Ron
similar to jah, only tested the plantronics 975, never had issues
also working well with my Jabra Extreme so far
no problems with Nokia BH-503 and SE MW600
No problem with my SE MW600 either, for 340 SEK (36€) it has everything I need: volume, back, play-pause, forward and mic
No problem with either my JVC-901 car head unit or Sony Ericcson HBH-980 stereo headset
ford focus bluetooth headset issue
Hi there, I have a problem with the desire and Bluetooth with my Ford focus.
It pairs fine, but looses connection after about 45 seconds. If you check a task manager you see the Bluetooth process at very high CPU after the disconnect, for a number if minutes.
If you make a call before the Bluetooth drops out it remains connected for the duration of the call !
Tried disabling WiFi etc, makes no difference.
Any ideas?

I had just the exact problem no problems any more though after this fix I dont know if it was a bad rom flash that screwed something up for me but BT works great now
I have the same problem, bluetooth paired but can not hear anything. I tried over 10 different, but it does not help. Can anyone solve this problem?
I'm having a similar problem with my car stereo & HTC Desire bluetooth connection.
I have a Silvercrest stereo with blutooth which worked with my provious Nokia & Blackberry but cannot get it to work with my Desire (2.2 Froyo)
The 2 devices will pair but when I try to make a call or receive a call the devices disconnect.
I am not at all savvy about flashing ROM's or anything so as simple a resolution as possible please...(& no, changing my car radio is not an option )
Any info is greatly appreciated as I spend a lot of time in the car & need the hands free

I have a Pioneer 7100bt car radio and a Desire with Leedroid 2.2f and i does the same.
Does somebody know a solution??
I too have a H680 and like you, callers can hear me however, I can hear them but very quietly even with volume full up.
I also have a Jawbone 2 where I can hear callers but they cannot hear me very well.
The Jawbone 2 was fine with previous handsets.
No solution though, sorry.
on the edge of updating to froyo at the moment but might wait a week or two for the little problems to get ironed out..
just wondered though if they have improved the Bluetooth on the phone ?
I have heard a few people having problems with the HTC implementation of it and have myself a device with pairs but does not connect
thanks

hi mitch,
bluetooth issues are still there after official htc 2.2 froyo update.
I have a Logitech diNovoMini keyboard that can pair but not connect to my desire.
htc broke the damn thing...
Bluetooth woes
I have just bought a Linx B-Tube. It should function as a bluetooth headset (only it has a speaker). I was hoping to pair it with my Desire which was running Cyanogenmod RC1. I couldn't get it to pair so I decided to make the leap to the nightly to see if it made any difference....nope!
I can see the device and I am prompted for a passcode for connecting. When I enter the code it just goes back to the original screen and doesn't pair.
I have also tried pairing to my MacBook pro with the same result..
Any solutions would be much appreciated
I have a Vodafone unbranded HTC Desire running Froyo, and I have a similar bluetooth problem. It really sucks. My Plantronic bluetooth headset can pair and connect with the phone without any problem. The connection is fine and will automatically be re-established if the headset is in range. However, occasionally, yes, occasionally, the headset will be detected and connected, but can NOT be used. I can see the icon that shows that the bluetooth headset is connected. However, clearly the phone voice output is for whatever reason NOT routed to the bluetooth headset, and hence I can't talk using the headset. I found that once I got this issue, the only way to solve it is to unpair and re-pair the bluetooth headset.
Very annoying. These days software quality control is very poor.
Hi my problem is different. both with Android 2.1 and 2.2 my bluetooth headset (Blueant Q1) works fine except when the Wifi Connects to a new hotspot. When this happens teh bluetooth headset discoinnects and then reconnects : (
Maybe I should be happy it works most of the time listening to previous posters !
Is any one with problem for the bluetooth connetion? It will drop after a few min. and try to reconnect have no respond, need to reboot the phone. Is it the setting or bug?

Mine has not done this with my Jawbone Icon, Motorola S10-HD stereo headphones or my Volkswagen Tiguan. Perhaps you might try another bluetooth device?
buletooth issue?
I had try different device and do the same thing, like my audi q7 and jarba headset and the garmin. Can you tell me what buletooth setting you are using?
Mine has intermittent issues as well, I'm using an older Motorola 710 BT earpiece. I'll only turn on BT on the phone when I know I'm going to use the earpiece, such as when driving or needing to be hands-free. I only activate the earpiece after enabling BT on the phone, but there are times when the earpiece does not connect.... the only fix is to reboot the phone. Is that similar to the issue you are having?
I'm having issues connecting to my car. If I reboot the phone and connect it will work. But once it's disconnected and I turn bluetooth off and then back on from the phone, it will not connect. Only way to fix it is to reboot. Don't know how to fix the issue. Never had a problem connecting my Sensation to my car's bluetooth.
My issue is similar in turning bluetooth on and off via the power widget and not being able to re-connect to my bluetooth earpiece after a few cycles. I'm wondering if it may be an issue with it being BT 2.0 versus BT 3.0 on the phone?
I thought it was my car but a lot ppl is having this issue too.
Sometimes it wont connect but it says connected so i have to go to BT settings and click where it says connected n overwrite the connection for it to work if not gotta restart the phone. :/
Tmo Galaxy S2
I'm having problems with a SoundFly FM Transmitter in my car.
At first it took forever to pair. And even when paired & connected it's really glitchy.
I'm using this mainly for GPS turn by turn over the car sound system. But because it is glitchy I can't use it because some of the directions get cut off.
I had a MyTouch 4G before. No problems whatsoever. I don't if it's a hardware or driver or BT device issue.
I'm willing to get a new FM Transmitter but not if it does the same thing.
It didn't work well on stock or rooted w/ Juggernaut rom
this is quite annoying. I wonder why this topic died so quickly, there have to be more people with this problem? Maybe has something to do with a bluetooth power saving sleep feature? Streaming music, pause music for a few minutes, incoming call gets connected but I get no sound through headset.
Tried searching to see if anyone else had observed this but didn't find anything specific. Has anyone else observed their wifi shutting off while on a phone call using a bluetooth headset? Wifi will stay connected fine when I'm on a call without bluetooth being used, but when I use my bluetooth headset, wifi will remain connected for about the first 30 seconds of the call and then basically shuts itself off until the call is finished.
Maybe it's designed to do this on purpose, but I just thought it seemed strange that it acted this way only when bluetooth was in use during a call.
Edit: Forgot to mention this is with a Verizon Galaxy Nexus.
I have the same thing happening with my Galaxy S3. It most likely the bluetooth headset interfering. I was told to try a new bluetooth headset which has fixed the issue for others but I my self have no tried it as it really isnt a big issue.
