I downloaded a file and of course when it completed I got the "down arrow" indicating it was completed.. But now even when I clear it it keeps coming back.. I have tried to select it and nothing happens.. Anyway of clearing this for good???
I have pulled the battery.. cleared the system Cache... my phone is rooted. I have explore into the phone but can't seem to make it clear for good. I have even cleared data and force closed the market and download manager.. any help would be appreciated.
One thing to note (not sure it matters).. after I downloaded the file I moved it and renamed it. It is the original name of the video file that continues to show up on my notification bar..
Please help

Reset
Sorry, but a hard reset is in order.
Hold the Power, Menu, and Home keys until Reset instructions start on screen.
Good Luck!
I tried to download an .xls file from a gmail I received. It failed initially when I chose "save". I tried again and it worked second time.
However I am left with a scrolling blue bar in the notifications like its an active download trying to complete. when will it time-out and fail. I cannot clear it. I tried restarting phone twice. The attempted download still scrolling.
any ideas?
Go to downloads within the apps tray and clear the download from there
That didn't work, but thanks for the suggestion.
finally found out how to kill a stuck/looping download from gmail etc.
go to settings / apps / all
Find the process called "download manager" and clear data.
simple yes, but frustrating when I could not find it and restarts didn't work to kill it. Thought timeout might have kicked in.
Ah that's good to know if it ever happens to me.

shiet man thank you very much i keep deleteing 6 downloads for 2 weeks... FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I rooted without any issues and then went to turn off OTA by entering 3845#*yourversionnumber# and pressing Disable in WLAN OTA.
I am still getting the notification that the Upgrade is downloaded and ready to be installed. Is there a way to get rid of this? I tried to find the file (looked in Cache folder) but could not find it.
Thanks in advance

Try clearing data on "download manager" in application manager.
I just got the notification and can't get rid of it either. Long press on notification -> app info takes me to Google Play Services.
I'm not sure how I can clear out the notification. I've already renamed LGFOTA.apk and cleared cached and DISABLED OTA in hidden menu.
I've factory reset 3 times both in settings and recovery, backup restore turned off. As soon as the phone boots I get error to reinstall Google plus hit ok and it takes me to Amazon store. Never get to home screen. Can pull down status bar and go to settings but G+ message will keep coming up. In app management there is no G+ to remove.
Had every thing working and tried deleting some of kingroot files in root explorer. Lost root and couldn't get it back. Factory reset and here I am.
Thinking of putting update bin on phone and checking for updates and hopping it will install clean. Didn't work sayed it was older than install ed.
Adb sideload update.bin did the trick!
After all that there were kingroot folders and files still not deleted.
[HELP] "Android system has sttoped working" loop 2 seconds, unable to use screen.
Hello,
Lg g3 (Telefónica / Movistar branded Spanish carrier)
Bought in Jul 2014.
Weeks having reset problems, one day, on a reset, got the msg "Android system stopped working", close, 2 seconds, again same msg, I can't use ths screen to avoid it, just to close the msg window, neither to browse options in those 2 seconds in each loop. I can only use the turn on/off buton, so, when I reset, same stuff again..
I tried to use Recovery Mode (vol-) and I just get the option to restore and WIPE ALL INFO (even files, pics, etc..)... no more options
Tried Lg Suite + Download mode (I can enter in download mode) but the software don't recognice the device.... using original cable,
I need the stuff inside, don't care about the phone thou, will get a new one, but I really need the info inside (no SD, the info inside the internal storage).
Any help?
If you turn off the device, hold down power and volume down. Release them when the lg logo shows then immediately press them again you should get to a factory reset screen. Try performing a factory reset, this will not wipe your files, just all apps and app data
Hi,
thanks for the answer.
that was my first hint, but, as you can see ( imgur.com/ d31OXJi) that menu option says "Delete all user data (including LG and carrier apps) and reset all settings?"..
I do belive this is warning me about wipe all my data including pics, videos, contacts, etc...
Are you 100% sure that wthis will not wipe the entire information?¿
Thanks...
BUMP!
Can anyone help me or confirm us if I do the vol down restart to factory will wipe my pics away??
Thanks...
Really? Noone ever have restored the phone using this option on a g3 to know if the pics will be deleted or not? amazing...
