Here ya go. This link has basically every shipped/factory ROM in RUU and in PC36IMG. You should be able to find what you need in there. Good luck

Thank you very much! I was looking for one of those hboots. Considering it's no longer necessary to have the ENG version for CM6 I want to have the latest version.

Sorry for the noob question but after I downloaded my phone can't find a program to open the file. Do I need to hook up my pc to the phone and open it with the pc? I'm just trying to figure out how to place the files on the root of my sd card so I can flash...right?
Thanks
Charles
Just place it on the root of your SD card, then power off and boot into Hboot by holding down volume down and pressing the power button. the phone will recognize the pc36img.zip file and ask you if you want to update. select yes, wait for it to complete. and then select yes when it asks you if you want to reboot.
How do you know which hboot the phone is running ? (I'm on CM)
what benefits does having a newer hboot give?
I still run eng 76.2000 and havent had any issues

I flashed to 2.10.0001 hboot today and my phone would not boot. I am running CM6 6.1.1. I was told that after flashing hboots you will have to reflash your kernel. This seems like very important info to know so I just wanted to throw it out there if anyone gets stuck in my boat. It's just a good idea in general to keep the current kernel you are using on your SD just in case. Hope this helps any issues
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I am not sure what I did but I have been on an old version of Amon recovery. I got the urge to update to newer version and also flashed clockwork thru Rom Manager...
I went to go into recovery to Flash ....as most addicts do...and I could not get past Hboot. THANK YOU......Tried every pc36img I could find to no avail until finding these.
Hboot .76....

[Q] How to switch from hboot .76 to .79?? Help!

Okay so when i first made my nandroid i was on hboot .79, but i am currently on .76 (because of cm6). Now i want to restore my nandroid backup from .76 but i cant until i can get back to hboot .79 So any idea how I could do this?
can someone help me?
???????????????????
edit: n/m just reread it. As long as you ran unrevoked forever you should be able to use the 3.29 RUU, just reflash your recovery afterward.

Aw..wow is that the only way?? How would i go about doing that? Where can i get the 3.29 RUU? I used unrevoked 3.21 to root..idk if that meets the requirements....

The RUU can be found here: http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Supersonic
As far as the Unrevoked Forever I think that you should be able to download it from the Unrevoked site and flash it. I dont know if that will still work fur sure.
But yeah, this is the only possible way to do it because RUU is the only thing that changes those things. Essientially unrooting but with forever you will still maintain root.

You could make up a PC36IMG.zip that would just flash the hBoot but it's safer running the RUU. Once you restore the nandroid you should be rooted again.

How do I make a PC36IMG.zip? Just create a file of that name? and put the hboot image in it?

Not to be an @$$ cuz I really don't know how to do the whole PC36IMG.zip.. But honestly man, some things are worth taking the extra time to do, and this is one of those things. Run the RUU instead of flashing the hboot shortcut.. It's a lot safer then risking your phone being a useless brick.

It has to be packaged properly for it to boot. Yellowcard is right about doing it through the RUU though, the only time I've seen anyone truly brick their evos they did it by flashing a bad hBoot downgrade. Plus the radios tie into the bootloader so it's better to do them all at once.

You'll need to do it from fastboot.

Nope, the RUU is basically a program in a way more so a script. Hook your phone up and run the RUU... Thats really all there is to it.
is it possible to push .79 hboot via terminal emulator? Or is RUU the only way? What version would I use to do this? I cant really find anything online...

Yeah. I get the RUU to read the phone.. but it has to be a newer version than whats on the phone. and the phone is on 3.30. And i cant find the actual RUU.exe that is 3.30 or the 3.70. Thats the only thing i see that might work
here is a link to the newest ruu 3.70 so you can flash that:
step 1: download a deoxdexed version in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=874251
step 2: flash that file to your phone by using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831559
good luck
y does it have to b a newer version i know there is a pc36img ruu of 3.30 out there in the development section take a look there

[Q] hboot says I have S-on but Revolutionary says I have S-off

So I was trying to unroot my phone to take it back to Sprint. I flashed PCimg to put S-on and was going RUU back to stock ROM. However, for some reason the RUU says it cant find my device. So I decided to just go back and switch back to S-off. But when I try to run Revolutionary it says that I am already S-off. But the bootloader says I have S-on. Halp!
download unrevoked forever son patch and put on sd card. Go into your recovery and flash it. Go back to hboot and see if its on. Lemme know if that works thanks.. if you need the file i can upload it for ya.

Ok well I attempted to do that....but I cant flash unrevoked forever because I have the latest radio version and they are not compatible. So the flash aborts midway through. And unfortunately I cannot downgrade my radio, at least not that I've seen. So now what?
What hboot version do you have?
If it is 6.17 because that's how you s-on'ed revolutionary, you need to run an RUU to get you back to 2.16 so you can reroot. If the computer won't find your device, try running it with the phone in fastboot.

I ended up flashing a PC36IMG that wiped everything and set my OTA, hboot, recovery, splash, boot animation, and got the S-on worked out. One file.....one flash....one happy Evo owner.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I have that exact same problem. Any way you can share the link to that PCIMG file you used to fix your problem. I am in the same boat.

Wouldn't you be able to run the RUU for the 4.53 then just update to the new 4.54??

Yes I searched!! How do I get S-ON, it's stuck at S-OFF

So I searched here and google, but I can't figure out how to get my evo to S-ON. I flashed a bunch of PC36IMG files, but all that got me was HBOOT 6.17 S-OFF. I tried running the latest RUU.exe, that didn't do anything either. Now I don't have recovery anymore, the phone is pretty much stock except for S-OFF.
Help a brotha out!
It doesn't look like you searched. I found this link in 10 seconds.

Download this. Flash in bootloader by renaming to PC36IMG. I had the same problem as you and this fixed it.

I can't get the link to work. Any chance of a non-dropbox link? I'm at work so it's blocked here and it won't come up on the phone.
I don't have any way of getting another link, sorry man. It's just a link if was directed too a while back when I had the problem. Maybe try a different browser.
I got the link to work. Thanks! Hope this works.

No go. Still S-OFF
U gotta flash a custom recovery first now. Then a hacked hboot to get back to hboot 2.16 then 4.54 pc36img. Search for unroot revolutionary. There are multiple guides.

Look at step 7. It is for 3d, but it may help.
