Anyone have a working apk for the newest version of the TouchWiz launcher -- the one that comes on the Epic 4G -- that will work on the Evo?
Not sure if it is some proprietary Samsung app or not... if it is, sorry for asking.

It's dependent on the twiz framework, not going to work without a full port.

Any reason to think the Nexus S 4g ROM would work on the epic? Aren't basically the same hardware?

There are still differences between them. NEVER flash a rom from a different phone on the epic.
Not development. Moved to Q&A.
I wish people would use the freaking SEARCH BUTTON : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1080207

It is much better than swype. I wonder why they don't advertise the fact that swype made it.

This Windows 7 styled keyboard
http://theultralinx.com/2011/08/wp7-keyboard.html
It's been my favorite for a long time because you can customize the size of the keys and their spacing, though I find that the defaults are just right for the 4.5 inch screen. Can switch between Dark and White.

ahh just like the WARM Z board...perfect man thanks...dood u gonna be hooking us up wit some themes at some point?
I like
A.I TYPE keyboard
I just use GO keyboard. I think i use the iphone theme with my own background with some transparency. I like being able to customize it, and it was free. I didn't like the feel of it at first but I got used to it. It's definitely better than stock at least.
I use anysoft keyboard. I suppose I can get a wireless physical one.

I'm glad this sparked a moderate conversation on what keyboards others use. Based off what's been said here, I'm going to try each of them out.
Thanks

Is it possible to port the new voice actions to the epic 1 w/ the widget also?
I tried it out on my Epic and while the voice actions were really really cool imho, it seemed to lag my Epic something fierce and drained the heck out of my battery. Perhaps it truly only works best with dual-core phones. I wanted to be able to stick with it very much though.
I had the version from the Galaxy SII on my Epic 4G before the Epic Touch was released and it worked great. I also like the layout better than the version that is on my Epic Touch.
There is no lag using it on deodexed but otherwise stock EH17 with TWLauncher 4.5.
Well, I was trying the Epic 4G Touch version and I was on the stock odexed EH17 so who knows.
Does anyone have any links they'd care to share? Search isn't showing up with anything.

I actually prefer the nuance blue theme for thumb KB even though its nothing like the ics theme and doesn't have to do with the open but since you bring it up ;-)
There is also now a 3rd version in the market now by some other dude. I've tried the version in this thread and the version posted in the other. The only difference I see is this one has the themes enabled.
