nothing ???
bump. . . nothing guys ?? anybody knows something else besides remote desktop im building a car computer and i wanna be able to control it with the dash well at least the multimedia part
i don't have any specific examples for you, but you may want to look for a web interface for your media player. i don't know if winamp has one, but i know foobar2000 has a plugin for one.
also, xbmc (great media program) has a plugin for one.
don't know how well they'll look on a phone screen, but it's a place to start... you may be able to customize the web interface to show up better on a phone.
hope this helps,

Hi there,
I´m not sure if this is the right sub-forum for this since this is my first post on this board.
Ok, so here is my problem:
I - proudly - own a HTC Desire and used to listen to the HTC music-player while using google maps navigation. On Android 2.1 it worked like a charm.
But then I updated to FroYo and since then it won´t run simultanously anymore.
What happens is the following:
I launch the music player
I launch the navigation app
When the first voice-output starts it mutes (or quits) the music player and won´t resume/reopen it automatically again
When I use a different music player it all work, again.
Also, when I use another navigation application (e.g. Navigon) the player keeps on working (but doesn´t mute...but I guess this is a Navigon problem).
A week ago I decided to root my Desire. For that I downgraded it to 2.1, again and used the ROM from ieftm. Unfortunately, I still do have this problem.
You may now ask "Why not use one of the other music players?".
The answer is: I "need" three points to be fullfiled by the music player:
Look nice (or at least not that crappy; for example...I don´t like the Astro player)
A working lockscreen-widget (this would eliminate the ³-player and DoubleTwist)
It should be possible to create a playlist-shortcut on the homescreen to be opened directly by this player
And...from all the players I tried the HTC player is the only one that has all this.
Anyway, I hope you guys can help me with my problem and answer some of these questions:
Has anybody an idea on how I could get maps/navigation and the music player working together again?
Anybody knows a music player that fullfilles all the points from above?
Anybody knows how I can set another music player to be opened with the homescreen-playlist-shortcuts?
Thanks in advance.
anyone here who can tell or can perhaps make this work on our galaxy?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=771463
ive got the launcher to work, but no taskbar,
and would be awesome if u could ge the whole gui to work with galaxy, i have no clute how to do this.. or i would try like hell, cuz it looks awesome
heres a vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQil6TsyVUA
anyone who knows? or can helkp make this work properly? with lockscreen and all ?
Unlikely that we can fix it given that it doesn't work for any other devices atm either.
I think the UI is so-so, but the nemo player is quite good. It plays 720p video and flac music files just fine (although on most music files, i get an error msg saying file format not supported, but it works anyway.)
this launcher is really amazing !
if we get it fully working it´d be awesome !
yeah truly awesome. ive got the lucnher and nemo player and desktop settings to work properly, if i only could get the taskbar and notifications and lockscreen to work would be awesome, but yeah, everything would be cool to get to work
wouldnt it be possible?
YPlease help,
I recently flashed the 1227 build of cm7, and as I just went to the music app, it thinks I have no music on my sdcard when I know I do.
Music is inside the 'music' folder on my sdcard, yet no program recognizes my music anymore. The rescan media app won't work either. what do I do to fix this and get my music to show back up in my music app?
Edit : there was a .nomedia file on the root of my sdcard. Removed it, good to go. Ill leave this on here just in case it could help someone else.
Legend!!! This has been annoying me for about a week now. All of my music disappeared off my phone for no reason (I still don't know what caused it) but I had a load of .nomedia files in my MP3 folders, removed these and it's all working now!!
Thanks so much x
Thank u so much it does the trick and helped my friends too :good:
Hi everyone
Recently I flashed CM7 and everything works great exept for playing music. Whenever I play music the phone doesn't let me unlock the lockscreen. The lockscreen comes up, but it doesn't respond to my touching. I've used different music player but that doesn't help. The lockscreen gets frozen.
Im using CM7 with as music player PowerAMP (tweaking the audio didn't help either). I also use Launcher Pro.
Maybe the standard music player from CM7 works better, but I unistalled it..... does anyone know where to find the .apk for that music player?
Another problem is that the time and date always jump back to 01-01-1980 and 12:00. Anyone has a solution for this?
I hope you could help me

I think the problem is that you uninstall the stock music player.
You can find that apk file from the CM7 zip file which is the whole ROM you have flashed in recovery.
Open the zip and go to /system/app/Music.apk that's the apk
Somehow that apk file isn't in the system/app folder. But I'll look into the .zip file on my computer, maybe it's in there.
Thanks anyway
