Anyone want a play (almost) anything Video player? - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

Came across this little bit of magic while looking for one for my low power but brilliant Commtiva N700 tablet. It has only failed to play 2 vids for me so far , one it did a weird split screen thing with (.FLV) and the other had no vid but both played the music.
Xyplayer. Free on the market and I have no connection whatsoever. Just think it's worth telling about.
(I did try the Neon version which is for Cortex-A8 handsets (the Commtiva is supposed to be Cortex-A8) but it just would not work.

Rhodium Video Performance?

I`m a Kaiser Owner, and looking at the Rhodium as a possible upgrade, but like many others here I`m sure, I`m concerned about iffy video performance. HTC really seem to have dropped the ball on this one, my experiences of the Kaisers video have made me wary.
Anyone heard any feedback on this topic? Anyone with a pre-production model give us a heads up?
For example, could the Rhodium play a 640*480 WMV video without dropping frames?
Same processor as the old TP must mean same video issues, right?
I had Kaiser, and with the right encoding & software video was absolutely fine! I don't know what all the complaints were about.
The Xperia can handle full resolution video pretty well if encoded correctly, and I'm sure this will be the case with the TP2 as well, as the hardware should be powerful enough to do it.
I can't comment on the Touch Pro, as I haven't used one. The TP2 has quite a high-res screen, but I'm sure it'll be fairly easy to get a decent video experience from it.

I think they made the drivers for the touch pro better didnt they? the 3d ones? so if they did yeah it will be VERY good if they do that for this to which I bet they will if they did for the old one
Won't be burned again!

To my knowledge nothing has been improved with the drivers for the touch pro. I have a Sprint TP and video sucks on it. Some ppl have messed around with 3d drivers with various levels of success, but nothing official has been done. There's a whole sticky thread at PPCGeeks on TP video playback tips:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=57282
So far I haven't really got anything to work for me reliably. What ppl fail to realize is that having a bigger/better screen is only going to make things worse if the hardware/drivers aren't improved. 320x200 video played fine on my Touch and probably would be fine on my TP, but going to 640x400 is 4x the resolution.
Unless HTC improves the 3d/video drivers, the TP2 is going to be as bad or worse than the TP because it is the same stinking hardware. I was so disappointed that the TP2 is just a rehashed TP which really has no better hardware than the Touch--just better screens w/o the greater horsepower to drive them.
I hope I am wrong about this and the TP2 video and graphics are awesome, but I certainly will not upgrade to it until I am certain the situation is improved.

Thanks for pointing that out. I am going to try them and they will probably help some, but I had already heard about it and for the most part they only address part of the problem.
If, and it's a BIG IF, HTC fully optimized ALL the drivers for the TP2, then it could be quite a bit better than the TP. Given HTC's crappy history I would have to have it thoroughly proven to me before I would believe it. However I am hoping against experience that it will be the case.
Maybe this is one of the big reasons why they stuck with much of the same hardware. So they could optimize everything. Hopefully.

Hello, I would have to say that the video quality is 100% better than the TP. I have been watching full videos with NO quality loss in sound or video. I was using the Sprint Touch Pro and was not very happy, but the TP2 is perfect. I can even get 2 full movies out of one charge!!! I have been watching a lot of DivX movies the same ones I watch on my PC, with no issues (well, except each one takes up about 700MB.)
The set up I have been using is, CorePlaer and the D3D Driver. DivX player works well also, but the text gets very small due to the resolution. Hope this helps!
Core player
Video quality is great with core player. Watched 2 movies on my TP2 today and it was very good with great frame rate. And I could use higher res mp4 movies if i wanted to and still keep 100% playback so i havent even pushed it yet. Totally recommended.
I can play a 800x480 AVC encoded movie with aac+ audio at ~1.2Mbit without any hiccups through HTC's video player. Coreplayer on the otherhand can't come anywhere near handling this. Looks damn good too! I used MEGUI with AVC Zune settings to make the video from a bluray movie. It's about 1GB in size.
curious
Just curious why the video player thats built in will play only some of my mp4 files? Thats one of the reasons why I went with coreplayer was because most of my mp4 movies would play a green screen with audio on the built in player and wmp.
Anyone know if TP2 has the same qtv video hardware acceleration?
I'm surprised nobody has posted anything about qtv.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=57282
I have a TP and mp4 video plays flawlessly through HTC album because it has the proper qtv drivers. My problem has been with playing divx in coreplayer with the reverse engineered qtv driver. I was hoping that HTC would drop qtv in the TP2 so that I could play divx in a player with proper video drivers. Does anyone know if HTC still uses qtv in the TP2?

MP4 is a file format that supports a few different video codec. Mostly like the green screen means the video codec isn't supported by the player. I would highly recommend these days to encode the video with H.264 as the video codec. This codec is the standard supported by all major companies these days, Apple, Adobe, MS, etc. Some video cameras like the Sanyo Xacti also captures video natively as MP4 (H.264) so there is no need to encode the video.
And TP2 plays MP4 (H.264) video well both in HTC Album and WMP.

Has the Kaiser video driver / acceleration issue been solved in Rhodium?

Hi,
I am a Kaiser user, and as you know HTC launched that product with incomplete drivers. Video acceleration drivers were included, and video playback is worse than on most phones; even the ones that are MUCH cheaper.
So one of the BIG questions that most Kaiser / ATT Tilt / TyTN II users will have when considering an upgrade is whether the drivers on the HTC Rhodium are complete, whether video acceleration works perfectly, etc.
Can those of you familiar with the driver problems on the Kaiser, and who own a Rhodium reply to this thread telling us what is the driver situation with this model?
soon to be former titan user subscribing
so far things are ALOT better .. but they still act up on things like fpsece it is still that terrible qualcomm cpu just a slightly newer one.. im hoping that since this is one is new there is still alot to come for it especially with windows marketplace around the corner i would blame windows mobile but i played with an omnia today and the lack of bugginess blew me away but its no where near as pretty as my tp2
bump.
Anyone got tips on whether or not to get one of the touch pro 2's? god I dont want an iPhone but media is the biggest thing I'm looking for in my next phone.
tbh you dont want an iphone then. its low res and not capable of many vdeo formats, videos must be "synced" and are easily deleted by apple software. the rhodium also has a nice tilt screen great for watching videos.
I really like the tilting screen my current phone is the TyTn II and my only complaint is the video performance. A jail broken iphone plays all media types via VLC media player so thats an easy fix. But I'd really rather have the Tilt 2 I just need it to not be the gimp multimedia device that the Tilt is.

IMHO (yeah that dangerous acronym), I've noticed that the TyTnII/Kaiser and the Rhodium are more for business users not recreational users. My partner has an iPhone and I've played with it a couple times. When it came to upgrade my Kaiser, I considered the iPhone as a possible upgrade, but chose the Rhodium/Tilt2.
Why? iPhones do real lousy with Microsoft Office apps, no hard keyboard (I'm fat fingered enough thanks), and a dependence on iTunes that I find frustrating. I've also found several apps that will allow me to convert between iTunes format and standard MP3/wma. Besides, as far as I know there are no cool roms that take advantage of the power of the iPhone.
I think this phone would be superior to the iPhone in every way if these stupid bugs didn't exist. How many just exist for texting? From random message lag to the damn thing freezing for several minutes when you back out of a text. The message box can be all screwed up, too. And all of this happens way to frequently.
core player works fine for me. i watch all types of video. the tilty screen is good for it.
so it seems that from what yall are saying; if I'm not in it for office documents and all i want is to watch my cartoons and make phone calls/texting (I have skinny fingers ) the iphone still beats out the tilt 2.
HTC makes such a sweet looking device, but man they really need to get away from qualcom, and poor video acceleration.
there a video acceleration drivers out. I attached a version i use below.

I'd not say the iPhone beats out the Rhodium/Tilt 2, but I will say that the Rhodium/Tilt properly tweaked and free of AT&T bloatware is a media match for iPhone. But then again, I'm a business user who watches a lot of video on my Tilt 2...hehehe...and one has to admit, a slideout hard keyboard and tilting display is a good feature for those of us who don't have thin fingers...<chuckle>

Moved to Motorola Milestone from the TP2 (Observations)

Installed Android 2.0.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627997) on my TP2 on sunday then basically sold my TP2 and bought a motorola Milestone 2 days later.
(see here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5590611#post5590611)
The transition hasn't been without its "Gotchas" so I will detail them here in case anyone is considering doing the same:
The BAD
- First of the Motorola Milestone and the Motorola Droid are not the same
- Droid is US based and gets software updates well in advance of the European based Milestone
- Motorola have signed the firmware of the EMEA Milestone so you can't load custom roms onto it (however motorola's position on this may change...)
- The milestone ships with android 2.0 which may not be available in your EMEA territory
(As of yesterday the update to 2.0.1 is available for the UK and it brings tons of improvements)
- Android 2.0 on the milestone is sluggish, has camera issues, and won't sync to exchange servers easily and if motorola haven't released the update for your territory you will have to endure this till an update comes
- The milestone's keyboard while not too bad could never hold a candle to the touchpro 2 but it is passable
- None of the andriod movie players allow you to increase playback speed (useful for watching training material)
- None of the movie players for android support xvid or divx
- Rooting a milestone or a droid voids the warranty (however rooting allows for additional functionallity.)
The Good
- The screen 854x480
- Multitouch
- Android Market (This is so intuitive - very well designed - literally find and install an app in seconds) and they seem to have an app for everything - litterally LOL!
- 5 Level Home screen (Currently running the nexus one launcher)
- The camera it's just awesome after the 2.0.1 update
- 25fps video recording at 720x480 (Seriously)
- Dual LED Flash (Very Very Bright - in fact the brightest I've seen)
- The can potentially be safely overclocked to 1.1ghz (http://news.softpedia.com/news/Motorola-DROID-Gets-Overclocked-to-1-1GHz-133177.shtml) Crazy!!!!!
- The Android GUI - very intelligently designed, intuitive and functional
- The ability to run Nexus 1 Apps flawlessly (you really need to see this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs9VPjdMKqY - I now have this installed as well)
- The RDP Client seriously making the screen emulate a touch pad is just Genius!!! - (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq56-8fQg6o)
- It plays back videos (MP4, 3GP in common resolutions up to 800px wide flawlessly
- Powerful 3D Hardware (the scope for potential here is incredible imho based on the 3D image app I now use to manage my images)
Now for a controversial opinion...
Based on what I've seen of this phone so far I think that it is as fast the the 1GHZ HD2 easily.
I also think that when it's overclocked even to 800mhz it's probably faster (Please note I haven't conclusively tested this yet - this is just an opinion based on observed performance)
So there you have it.
My friend has a Milestone and I'm very tempted. TP2s seem to get a good price on ebay.
As for rooting voiding the warranty every electrical device, whether a toaster or computer, sold in the EU has to have a 2 year warranty by law. Within this 2 year period the manufacturer has to prove that what you have done has caused damage. Overclocking may well be proof but running a different ROM blatantly isn't. If you have problems you should contact the retailer who sold it as they are legally acting as an agent for the manufacturer.
If you want I can post links showing what I have mentioned and showing that the EU court has already ruled every member country has to comply.
And when it comes to the HD2 I read somewhere that it's a brilliant piece of hardware disabled by it's software. Might take a little longer to find that link. Microsoft bloat is almost default.
Maybe next you'll see how much better your PC works on Linux, although that still has a little way to go until my mum would be happy with it. But then she doesn't like landlines with buttons lol
the milestone is not worth me selling my touch pro 2. if anything i would get a HD2. im not a android fan.
Droid was a big step forward, but I will hold on till the next really good QWERTY phone will come out with Android, so I can say goodbye to TP2 and WinMo all together. Apps base needs to grow as well, as it is no where close to WinMo.
My friend who owns a Milestone bought it because it's got a keyboard. However he says he doesn't even use it because the screen is large enough and sensitive enough for him not to have to.
I have given it a go and can see what he means, although the real test only comes with time and pages of text.
What I do know is that the voice recognition on it is extremely impressive. I am hardly a bastion of clear spoken Queens English and have tried Microsoft Voice Command with absolutely no joy whatsoever. In fact I would go as far as saying that MVC is total pants !
However the Google equivalent (free unlike M$) is truly amazing ! It understands everything I say first time and without exception. Makes me start to thing that in the near future we won't be needing to physical input text at all. Wouldn't that be good !
Video formats on Android
I have heard mixed messages about playing multiple video formats on Android. Before I jump to the Nexus or Milestone, I want to just make 100% sure that it is not possible to play Xvid dvix x264, etc. I was told that there are players which make it possible to play these files. Has anyone tried to the yxflash player? says it plays multiple formats:
I can't post the url as I am a new member, but you can go to mobilesoft.kr and select yxflash player for android
and also you can see it in handheld.softpedia.com under Multimedia-Graphics/Video-Players yxflash
please let me know (as my library of videos are in these formats!) Thanks

Xperia Play vs Atrix

I got an upgrade available to get a play for $50, and I'm wondering how great they are. I've been getting annoyed at the touch screen controls for gaming, and want a controller finally.
However, I'm worried as to how smooth, responsive, and great the graphics are with psx emulators or games like GTA3.
My Atrix is unlocked, rooted, and running CM7.
I saw quadrant scores at ~1700 with xperia play and got worried seeing as I score ~3500 no problem, and with Antutu the Atrix gets much much higher scores than the play especially in 3D and CPU.
Does anyone have experience with both phones and can give me some ideas as to how they perform against eachother?
with the exception of the screen, the play is going to be slightly slower/worse in most respects, mine generally doesnt lag, but it happens on occasion, the tegra2 gpu is not much better than whats in the play, so gaming wise its not far behind the atrix. the browser is ok, but im expecting a big boost to usability on that front when we get ics with hw acceleration. As a phone, the play is pretty good, not amazing, but it gets the job done.
It really comes down to the hw controller, yes, theres plenty of phones out that are better than the play, but if u want to play a game, i would take the play, every time. playing things like sonic cd, or super metroid, mario 64, crash bandicoot, etc etc etc(i have about 6k+ games on my phone, ranging from nes through to n64 and everything in between almost) the play dominates the competition, 99% of those games play and feel as good or better than they originally did to play....and that in itself is amazing, and its not just emulators the games on the market are very often xplay optimized as well, its kinda suprising given the plays relatively small market share just how many are actually optimized for this little unit.
i bought mine for $450 outright with the option of an sgs2 at about $550, maybe 6 months ago, and do not regret the purchase, ive used a few sgs2's and whilst nice, good luck playing a game an enjoying it, im not sure what im gonna do if they dont end up releasing a play 2....

Couldn't have said it better myself
Although I can say that GTA runs fine for me. I'm not sure how it runs on the Atrix, but on the Play it runs pretty much the same as the PS2 version
Upgraded from an unlocked 1.3 OCed Atrix I like my play much better. Most apps are written to work on 600—800 MHZ single cores so basically the second core doesn't do much. And most "tegra exclusive" games have ported to other phones and run 100% smooth (beat GOF2 two months ago)

How did GOF2 perform with the graphics and framerate? Did it look the same?
Also, how good is the responsiveness on websites, flash, streaming YouTube, Netflix, and texting in general?
Also, are you able to use the SD to install apps? That's one big thing I don't like is storage space.
My xperia play is extremely responsive in the internet browser and pretty much any other app that I use. I upgraded from an OG droid like a year ago and the xperia play felt incredibly fast. I just overclocked my xperia play to 1.6ghz now and it's even more fast. PSX emulation's performance is to the point where it feels as if it were made for the xperia play; the games just work flawlessly with the game pad. I have grand theft auto 3 also and it plays really smooth.

Very nice hearing that.
I still need to figure out if there's a way to use my 16gb as card for app storage because I have roughly 10gbs of apps/games on my phone.
I'd use up that 400mb in a second.
Also, can I adjust the PPI or resolution to match that of the Atrix since the screens are the same size?
Is there any video out for gaming on a TV?
Overall, I'm probably going to get it and sell my Atrix, I'm just trying to plan for it since my biggest problem is that memory issue. Going from 16gb internal to 400mb is a rough one for me.

I have like 76 apps and the majority give you the option to put most of the app data on your sd card. i have 182mb internal free space with all these apps, but I did remove all of the stock verizon apps too
I used titanium backup to force move a majority of my apps to the sdcard. Have over 300 apps and still have around 180mb of free space. Have my phone overclocked to 1.2 and it just flies. I am running the Verizon stock Tom minus all the crapware they put on. Great phone, love it. Games like shadowgun, modern combat 3 are all smooth and awesome to play.

the xperia play is a great phone
but i see it as if you have to consider the benefits of a xperia play over another phone then the xperia probably isnt for you. most people will instantly see that the hardware controls are its selling point and buy it for that. to use for emulators mostly.
Just tried out a xperia play today, I'm going to buy one. They got a sale right now that its free with a 2 year contract. It was smooth online and the launcher was awesome. I tried asphalt 6 on it and compared it to my phone in HD, and I couldn't notice the HD difference, but it ran perfect.
Ill be buying it next week and selling my Atrix for $200 so basically I get 2.5 months free

You can use a stock Motorola 16 gb SD on this phone, it comes with an 8. I just swapped them between my Droid and this when I got it. However you're better off buying a Sandisk 32 GB class 4 card if you want the best performance.
There is no video out.
You also cannot adjust the screen resolution unless you root the device.

Galaxy on Fire plays pretty well... I'm midway through it, and I've had my share of action with lots of ships and all around shooting and what not, and the Play delivers flawlessly.

is archos 80 g9 a piece of junk?

I purchased one from my local uk currys yesterday and have used it quite a bit since and I I have to say since i am very dissapointed,
The Bad
web browsing is slow and laggy as the pages do not load totally e.g the page loads as your scrolling down even after waiting,
flash video playback in browser often crashes the tab causing it to restart itself, camera is bad in low light conditions,
you cant exit apps properly as even if you select to exit in the apps menu they stay in the multitask panel running in background (unless you go in and stop them with the honeycomb built in task killer),
gameplay is not toally smooth on the game I have tested (nova 2) it plays relatively smooth however seems to pause slightly at times like a frame skip[edit since last archos update it force closes even after reinstall], i also tried n64oid which was slow loading and the on screen controller froze,
angry birds loads but the screen image is not smooth as the pixels have been stretched however plays well (i couldnt care less about angry birds anyway but it just shows that the screen resizing can cause graphics issues.
I have issues with moon reader ebook reader as it does not want to only change page when i swype as soon as it gets to the next chaper page it will only skip chapters
The Good
media playback with files loaded on the device is good they play back smoothly through the hdmi and I had no trouble with the files I put on it.
youtube app playback is looks good.
screen quality is nice very vibrant colours etc
battery life is good.
the stand is useful
honeycomb is much more user intuitive than any before it
wifi signal isnt too bad in the room next to the rooter I get over half.
the issue I have is that my herotab c8 is faster for browsing web pages doesnt seem to lag, very rarely restarts itself and can view flash in browser without crashing my tablet, also I can root it and install chainfire which means gameplay is brilliant when playing nova 2 (better than archos tablet however colours etc are a little washed out compared to archos ) I can remove my memory card from its external slot and change it for a different one and it instantly reads the new one unlike the archos where I cannot even see the card in folders.
if im missing something that has hampered my experience please advise as I am giving this to the end of the week and will more than likely return it if it stays like this.

Yeah I did the same, the amount of FC was upsetting. The sound card (from what i've read) is pressed in to the back of the screen and any slight pressure creates the ripple on the screen. Not bad for the money, but not great
i dont believe i have the screen defect but all the other problems are beginning to be frustrating, because of the specs i dont know whether to return it as if they implement the specs and features properly in future firmware updates this should be a great tablet, although someone said on another post that they dont have the lag or freezes or automatic rebooting or game issues that i have listed above so im sort of wondering if my device is defective.
edit i also find that it wont output the image properly to a 32 inch 720p tv as as the tv tries to play as 1080p but cant and the tablet nor the tv have options to change this
Had a bit of screen lag, not no more than my Desire HD, so cant really complain too much about it.
I thinking about sending it back but its shipped from France, and that gonna be expensive.
Yeah the screen defect is what swayed it for me, if that goes out of warranty im stuffed!
The only thing I can complain about is the screen defect, that in my opinion is bareable... for the web browsing experience, all you have to do is install Opera Mobile from the market and that problem is solved... about the "lag", change launcher and go for ADW EX, with that it's fast as a rocket... apps stay "open" after you close them because that's how Honeycomb works, it keeps stuff in the background so that they can open up faster next time. Overall It's actually a pretty good tablet, it's not perfect and yes it's very "delicate" software wise, but once you get used to how you treat it, all is fine... remember It's an incredibly cheap tablet with all the functionalities of the most expensive...

related to the SD card, I have had no issues with reading/changing card

same for me!
My brother has the archos 80 g9 16GB turbo version and it runs perfectly no lag no force closes or anything and games run great aswell and videos run smooth and the screen is brilliant only a little problem from pressure on the back of the screen but it is a tiny area and 99% of the time not visible so not a problem.
but my dad bought the 80 g9 250GB turbo version which the only problem is the hard drive is slow and it crashes a bit too often and its now crashed and wont boot past the unlock screen and the screen wont respond so ive got to see if i can fix that now but the flash version of the tablet i think is brilliant especially for the price
I love my 80 g9!

Hi guys,
I'm about to buy the archos g9 250GB but I searched here at XDA to know more about this tablet and to see if the HDD version is good and fast enough... and I can see here that the fastest and most stable version of this tablet is the archos g9 10GB Turbo... but this one is expensive in Israel (About 425$) than the 8GB version (About 337$)! But the 8GB version has the ARM Cortex A9 1.0GHz Dual Core while the 16GB turbo have 1.2GHz Turbo version: OMAP™ 4 smart multi-core ARM CORTEX A9...
So I want to know which one is the best for my Dad, He just need a simple tablet to surf the web sometimes, watch Videos on the web (Flash players) etc... so the 250GB HDD could be a "nice to have" feature, but if it's to slow, Then I prefer the 8GB version...
and as I mentioned the "Turbo" is expensive here... so which one it's gonna be? the 8GB or the 250GB?
Thanks! I think that i'm gonna buy that tablet tomorrow, so I'll be happy to get some answers from you guys, 10x again

Hi Avi,
I bought this tablet (Turbo 16G version) for my wife a week ago.
Actually AFAIK the Turbo version sold here (in Israel) is just an overclocked version of the non-turbo, since the real turbo version should be 1.5Ghz and have a different processor model.
Anyhow, the web browsing is fine, but beware that Flash works really bad on it.
I don't know if it works well on other tablets or not, but on this one it will freeze constantly during play.
Also I tried Mako VOD/Hot VOD apps and though they run, they won't play any video (except an occasional commercial now & then), but I don't know if it's because of this specific tablet, or because of the Flash issue.
Youtube apps works well, and so does streaming files from other computers.
Hey there mike,
I see that you are from Israel to, where did you buy it? BUG? or some other place?
so you don't recommend for the 16G version huh?
and as I can see here the 250GB version is not stable and very slow... so what’s left is that 8GB version which is the chipset one anyway here in israel...
but I see that there is a great deal at BUG stores on the 250GB, the price is almost same as the 8GB version, SO i Really thinking if I should buy the 250G or the 8G... :\
And about flash players - I test flash players and flash based Websites on my Samsung galaxy S2 and my friend's Motorola XOOM
and all flash players worked great, specially the JWplayer and the JustinTV players...
about Mako and other Israeli VOD sites, most of them are not in real flash, the players are flash Based UI, but the actual Video is WMV and not even FLV or MP4... so they won't work on android devices, but there are Dedicated applications for Mako on the Android market... try it...
10x anyway dude, I think I'm goanna jump to bug and play with this device and then see if it's Goanna be the 8G or the 250G...
Thanks...
Ok guys, never mind, I bought the Asus transformer eventually... I checked that Archos, and it's a Cute tablet, but the quality is mid range, and yes, sadly the one that I wanted purchase was with that known screen defect!

I have had same lag randomly on older 80g9 8gb & new 80g9 16gb 1.5ghz turbo.
what is causing this? I've been using Perfect Keyboard app and love it but wonder if its the issue
Only stock i installed others but only stock appears maybe i missed some settings....

That kinda sucks that its not the keyboard app. getting other keyboards active is more of a pain on these, I can't remember exact procedure but keep messing with settings and you'll get it.
try Perfect Keyboard app from market, it takes a while to get used to & adjust but for a free app its very nice, I had mine tuned and comfortable to work within a week and I can't stand any other now, I'm typing mostly with thumbs on split landscape w #pad in middle and cool arrow keys at bottom that are like a mouse for cursor positioning

Since its not a big brand name here I cannot sell my archos g9. I'm getting the transformer prime and dock when they show up in stores here. I want to try it before I buy.

like my archos 80 g9 verry much low price fine machine
I wouldn't say it's a piece of junk..but the first one crapped out on me, the cheap usb charger connectors that are only loosely soldered onto the mother board probably broke, got an RMA replacement, had it for a month or so, and the stupid damn 2 foot cord is so short, the tablet gets knocked off of things so easily that it broke the usb connector right out after a 3 foot drop. Pissed me off :/
