Cyanogenmod 6.2 question - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What is with my phone being without signal 100% of the time even though I can still make calls on it and send a message from this app? I have the BETA 0 installed. But the battery gets run down because the phone thinks it's been without signal for 100% of them time.
Is there a fix for the TWS bug here in Cyanogenmod?
If it matters, I came from DK28 Froyo to Cyanogenmod. The modem was able to set itself up.

[Q] Tethering 3G disappear / reappear

Saw this on the "wireless tether" homepage, so i just copied and pasted it as it explains my problem as good is i could. I have tried different kernals, ive tried wiping.. unrooting rerooting etc... and it happens on all tether apps including the stock one. It starts happening after it gets over 35 degrees Celsius. :/
Currently using MIUI rom, however does it on all of them including stock unrooted one.
Anyone know how to fix? Its quiet annoying! :/
Which device (manufacturer, type)?
HTC Incredible
Which firmware is installed?
2.2
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.turn on
2.connects
3.works for about 5 minutes
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Works really good for the first 5-10 minutes then stops and 3G symbol will disappear and reappear along with 3G service
I remember seeing the same issue, but I don't recall seeing it since flashing skyraider vanilla.
The last ROM I used was virtuous.
I don't use tether very often, but I can pay attention to the 3g and temps when I do.
Do you see interruption in your connection on the connected device(s)?

It usually only takes 20-30 mb download to heat it up to the point it starting flickering on and off. But no, it doesn't interrupt if its wired tether, only wireless...
veeeerry annoying as I like to have it for college.
what verison of Wireless Tether are you using. I know that I had the same problem for two reasons, 1. there are at least two verisons that I know of that have a problem. I had the same trouble. 2. You might have a the 3G Drop problem.
I've had this happen in MIUI 0.11.26 as well as CM 6.0.2 on my AMOLED Inc.
For me its not a temp problem but rather a heavy data traffic problem. It only seems to do it when I'm intensely viewing multiple webpages with flash or videos.
Only fix for me is reboot.

[Q] All AOSP roms specifically OMFGB 1.3

How do you get them to use/say 3g instead of 1x? Sorry if this is a noob question.

Most likely, you're just not able to get a 3G signal at that particular location and time. Now, you may be thinking that the stock ROM (or older custom sense ROMs) tells you that you were getting 3G in that same spot before. The stock ROM doesn't properly show 1X though...it was lying and saying 3G even when it had fallen back to 1X. Newer custom Sense roms generally have fixed this, but if you were using one that isn't fixed before, it may seem like AOSP roms are not holding a 3G signal like the Sense ROM did. That might not be the case.
It never changes though no matter how I use it or where I am. I went to a different state and it wasnt showing any change:/

[Q] Is there any known fix for random data shutdown?

I have been having random data "stoppage" on my GSM G-Nex since it first came out.
Data will suddenly stop. I can tell when all the bars turn grey and the "+" sign goes away or when I am listening to Pandora or XM/Sirius and it suddenly stops. This is in areas with solid 100% full signal coverage. It happens usually once a day at minimum and at random times.
I have tried numerous ICS roms & radios with the same results. Problem is, I usually don't notice it until long periods go between getting emails or someone asks me "did you get my email?". I check the phone and data is gone.
I have to reboot to get it back.
I know this issue has been around since the beginning of the G-Nex but I am wondering if there has been any actual fix for it either by a hack or from Samsung. It's really annoying. Has JB fixed it 100% or is it a hardware issue?
Search for an app called restart connections. That might be a simpler, if not very elegant, solution. You could schedule it to run every 30min.

I used to get data drops with 4.0.4.
After updating to JB I've yet to have one.

That's good news. I've had a couple JB ROMs (including stock) but there are 2 apps that don't work properly for me that I need. Hopefully that will be fixed soon and I will give JB a shot again. Frankly, I really didn't see too much in JB that made me want it "now" so I am in no rush to upgrade again until my apps are fixed.
Hmm, never had data drops, from 4.0.2 all the way to 4.1.1.
I actually have this problem every now and then. Hate it because sometimes it's when I need the Internet. Gonna give 4.1 a shot since aokp just came out with m1. Hopefully this helps.

WiFi behaving erratically

Hey Guys,
lately my wifi is been acting strange, I have full signal when the phone is idle but the minute I start using it the signal drops to a 1-2 bars or just that dot.
There are times it just disconnects from WiFi and connects after a brief moment with full signal. I am noticing this behavior when I do something WiFi intense. How can I get to the root of this problem?
I am currently rooted, running MMuzzy ROM with Trinity kernel. (I tried stock kernel too and it acted the same)
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Have you installed the latest radio? :S might be best to do a clean install (google image)
edit: You should try with different kernels aswell it might be possible that trinity isn't acting well with your phone not that i'm bad mouthing trinity .
I'm on the latest radio, I tried various kernels and they all act the same.
I'll have to give Google's image a go.

So it went well?

Help! How can you modify the my phone number and/or MIN on the SIM status section of

I was using one of the CM 12.1 nightlies and then decided to jump to CM13 with clean install and everything went fine, after a couple of days using CM13 and performed a dirty flashed CM13 0603 nightly and trouble started for the first time in a while. The phone gets connected to LTE and works but do not make or receive calls or texts when you call says your phone is not activated. And that's the only logical thing on my mine that the my phone number and the MIN I think comparing with my wife's phone should matchit has another number not my number. How can I change those numbers myself without using Sprint lousy reps over phone.
First you should check in your About Phone section under Status and see if they are actually gone. All of those are listed there and they'll be blank if there's something screwing. Then I'd install the latest baseband. I had the same thing happen and that fixed my issue.

My phone was really quiet for two days and this was my problem. I had to odin all the way back to stock which fixed it. Then after getting back to cm13, I was without service because APN access is blocked.
Hours during the week are valuable so I'm running Touchwiz again!
