Softbank Japan System Update

Just got a prompt to install 1.18.762.5
Says FOTA update, but I wont install it yet.

Also, tech details
Firmware Version: 2.1-update1

Too bad the Softbank ROMS are normaly protected and branded, I would like to use a Japanese ROM ;P

HELP Post Official Stock HTC Froyo update

Hi,
I rooted my ROM today with Unrevoke 3, and loaded the following Rom and Radio:
Official_FroYo_Market_fixed.zip
and the radio:
32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20.zip
both taken from this board and resulting in:
Baseband version:
32.43.00.32u_5.09.00.20
Kernel:
2.6.32.15-gf9c0527
[email protected] #1
Build:
passion-user 2.2 FRF91 43546 release-keys
Software Number:
2.09.405.8
Now I cannot login to the Market and internet access seems to be randomly very slow or fails. I get the message when trying to sign into the Market with my pre-existing account that I do not have a reliable data connection.
This is a concern as I can read BBC News Pages on the Internet quick as a flash.
Access to Google and executing searches at Google.co.uk seems to fail.
Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone help?

Can u go into about phone in settings and then select check for updates? What region is ur rom?

Motorola has released their official Froyo version in the USA and a few countries in Europe. The rest of the world will get it later.

If you don't want to wait you'll have to flash an unofficial ROM (which voids the warranty of your phone).

Seems bonkers that SIM free handsets are not being sent the update first, i may as well have just got one for free on T-Mobile as buy one outright.

Problems updating to 4.0 and changing CSC

I need help updating to android 4.0. I have been going trough pages and reading, but there is simply too much stuff that i cant understand. Here is the situation: I can't update to android 4.0 through kies. What i need to do?

Build number: Gingerbread.XXKG1
I have rooted my phone earlier, installed custom ROM, and then installed android 2.3.4 stock firmware. Information above tells everything about my SGS2. I can't find android 4.0 firmware download links, or instructions how to even do it. I have odin, and before i rooted my phone i took this information up what my phone used to be

To be hones, i don't know what those even mean. I only know that now they are different, and because my CSC is wrong i cant update with kies. I installed application called CSC select and it says my CSC is KOR. I also read that it needed to be NEE(nordic countries), to be able to update with kies. How ever CSC select application doesn't have a NEE available...
I am pretty clueless what i needed to do now, would really apperciate if someone could give me some advice. I dont need my android 4.0 to be rooted.

Hi, I am much in the same position as you. I am still trying to figure out my options, and will post back if I get anywhere. In the meantime, can you please post CSC etc details of your phone? You can get this by opening the dialer, and dialling
