Hydra kernels problems

Just tried every kernel Hydra has to offer and every one put my phone into a bootloop. Had to revert back to stock.
Any tips to get these working?

I used the OC/UV ov, kernel #2 from Hydra. It was working ok but made my keyboard really laggy.

My keyboard is sometimes laggy but usually really fast. I've isolated the issue to the dictionary, I'm sure if auto suggest was off you wouldn't notice it.
Although, after using it for a day, the keyboard lag seems to have gone. Maybe it was repopulating or something.. no idea in this department.
Edit: these kernels are meant only for froyo

Is there any way to get the torch app in miui to use both leds?

It only uses one. or is that just me? I'm running the latest miui

Latest MIUI w/ Aeroevan's kernel and I have both LEDs too.

Hmm. Interesting. I reflashed miui and now I'm using the stock miui kernel and it still is only using one. I thought this was just a problem with miui because I used the torch from cm7 in miui and it worked just fine with both leds. Does anyone have any ideas?

Extra brightness settings uses both.

The few times I have looked, one LED is brighter than the other. Anyone confirm this?

In my experience it was like that. I haven't tried it lately, but the last one I tried was right after they upped it to version 1.0 and higher. So it was like 1.0.7 or something like that.

[Q] Screen Calibration

Just a quick question, my phones not rooted but before the 2.3.6 update wasn't there 2 options on the display setting to calibrate the screen? I only just see one now which is gyroscope calibration but I can't remember what the other one was. Was this option changed with the latest update?

There was no screen calibration options as im running Jugg 3.7 and i remember stock had nothing like that. Maybe you dreamed your phone changed to an I9100?

No, there was 2 options in 2.3.5 stock. Maybe not juggs though but i dont remember that 2nd option though.. 2.3.6 only has 1 now..

You don't need screen calibration. Its already calibrated. If you want to see uncalibrated go find epic 4G with a fresh ROM install. You'd have to go through terminal to fix it. If you didn't it would take 5 seconds for the screen to change!

Thanks, thats all I wanted to know. Just wanted to make sure that I wasn't seeing things cuz I was pretty sure I had seen 2 options before the update.

Some camera help please

Could someone help me out & explain why my EVO's camera would be force closing when starting up no matter the ROM I use?
Any help appreciated!

You need to come with a little more info than that....
What ROM, and are you using a custom kernel?
Camera problems are often a result of the kernel not being compatible with the ROM you are using.

Just flashed Tiamat,click the camera icon & I automatically get a black screen followed by a force close.

Could be that the camera module itself has come loose from the camera port on the board. Use a T5/T6 torch remove the back housing and press down on all four corners of the camera module. Snap housing back on and power up phone, test.

AOKP December 26th nightly
- Removed Launcher2.apk.
- Removed LiveWallpapers.apk.
- Removed .mp4's in "Video" folder, saved 10MB.
- a-GPS patch included thanks to Crypted.
- Removed all Pico-TTS files except US versions.
- Added my build.prop tweaks.
- Added RRNG and Seeder script files to /xbin and /init.d.
- Updated Nova Launcher from 1.3.3 to 1.3.4.
Note : For better battery life, use ROM Toolbox Lite/PRO to underclock and switch your CPU scheduler and I/O scheduler
using SIO/MSC-MSDV.

Are you capable of building your own from source, or just pulling Kasper's build and doing edits? Echo should be the same as other latest builds. I've reported what is going on almost all of those 4.2 builds out there.

Capable of pulling from source, yes. But Kasper does a bit more than that, and he's far more advanced than me.
I have no echo, so maybe you should check your radio. All is well for me. Kasper's latest build works wonders.
Edit : In fact, I probably neglected to mention this is now my DD. (Battery is good too)

I don't have echo anymore after the latest commits made by the CM team, was just asking for reading through stuff purposes. Thanks.

When i flashed this, all my stuff in my sd card seem to be erased, but check my storage its still there but doesnt show.

Just an idea
There should be an option to swipe to the right in the notification drawer to get to the tile system. Just a thought.

The path may be different. I found my sdcard under /storage/sdcard1
