What would be the normal current / power drain when using the phone? Screen on, browsing (eg xda app ) 3G seems to drain most of the power for extended periods of time.?
So how much %/hour of battery life would be considered normal ?

Just went from Gingervillain to CM7 and Juicedefender is not working with CM7.
The feature I like about juicedefender is that it turns off my data unless I unlock my screen. Is there any app in the mean time that would do the same thing?

Yeah dude, check out Super Power in the market. Same concept.

Does that really help in battery life ? (Juicedefender) or any other app

I used to use JuiceDefender on 2.2, but since flashing CM7 I haven't been using it and my battery life has been fine.
I have brought up in other threads that JuiceDefender only helps a lot when you leave the screen off phone idle for a long time. It doesn't really help very much turning the phone on/off a lot because the data connection costs you more battery turning the mobile data on and off over and over.
I don't use my phone too much for the majority of the day, so that's why I want the data off when I'm not actually using my phone.
In my opinion, it does get me more battery life because the data gets turned off and that way it conserves battery. But like that user said, it'll only be beneficial if you let your phone stay idle for periods of time and not constantly turn it on and off.
This is using the extended battery I got today.... seems steep, no?

From my experience the phone lasts about 3-4 hours screen on time

Wow..u must have been using it non-stop. Yes, from my experience, the total screen up-time is around 3.5 hours.
Here is my overnight battery drain test. My phone was idle the whole time. Only on 2G mode and no wifi, no gps and no bluetooth.
Try uninstalling Facebook for Android app and also Sign into Latitude, select Do Not Report My Location, and then sign out of Latitude.
I'm currently running cyanogenmod 7.however my battery percentage changes irregularly. It can be 50 then all of a suddejt jump to 30. Don't know what is going on.
Anyone have a solution. Cheers

Is this a stock or OEM battery you are using. Also how old is the battery?

Any new apps downloaded. Have you tried battery stats to see what is running in the background.

install from store current widget and charge your phone in the meantime put this widget on your screen and wait untill the phone is fully charged( not from the green light but from the widget when its displays 0ma) next download from market battery callibration and calibrate your battery and it should be fine however be carefull with widgets they use a lot of battery comsumption and try reducing your screen number to minimum and turn off ur connections when u dont need them
Widgets and battery Draining
Any widgets drain the battery like the power control one ?
Or active Widgets like Current Widgets or battery status.... etc.
What about shortcuts ?
Thanks.
widgets that updates very often drain the battery the most the one that doesnt updates a lot dont spend a lot if battery

3g usually takes more battery than wifi. I personally experienced it.

Agree with you also. At least 2 charge per day.

its normal i think.. when a mobile network is on there are so many applications that auto run on your background and some of them are using mobile network connections and if you leave your mobile network activated it means all the time there are some applications that accessing the network which uses so much of the battery power, meanwhile the wifi connection only uses battery when its scanning(depending on the time interval that you set to scan when your not connected) but if your connected it also uses much power however its not that power consuming as the mobile network.
This is screen shots
While idle and all connectivity off except SMS & phone calls I lose 1.7%/h is this normal?
Sent from my GT-I9192 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'd say yes. As I can see from your Screenshots you were two times disconnected from any cellular network. Remember this causes more battery usage (but no drain at all), because the phone is searching for network consistently.
Both, the 1.7/h as well as your screens are totally okay.
But I read some where that I can bring down usafe to less than 1 %
I have disabled all samsung apps and use silvui kernel
I have note 2014 unrooted and battery loss per hour is far less

That's right search forum for threads with this topic. You said this battery usage appears at idle state. The second screen isn't idle at all because you are using your device (but you have no wake locks which is pretty good btw). I'm sure you reach less than 1%/h when you don't use your device. You can also install better battery stats to monitor what's using energy and freeze it.
Did you also activated energy saving? Try this in addition to offline mode and check with BBS the over night consumption. I'm pretty sure it's below 1.
Last night battery dropped from 43% to 35% in 3 hours while I was sleeping thats too much ... 3g wifi bt off

Were the many Apps in multitasking? Try clearing RAM, reboot and all energy saving techniques.
Try to post idle stats

Idle Iowa between 1.4%/h to 1.8%/h I think this is too much
Sent from my GT-I9192 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Install better battery stats or wakelock detector
Then charge your phone at full clean all ram and leave it untouched while you sleep and post your stats right when you start using your phone
sent from my i9192 with CM11 by sekil
Idid that and it loses between 1.4 to 1.7 but if used this become 2.7/h idle

Tell us what consumes battery most. Do you run your phone with two SIMs?
I think is the radio and cpu
Sent from my SM-P601 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
we cant help much without battery stats or wakelocks
try silvuimik or ametris kernel those are greate also change your governor
Same Here
Ya i'm facing the same problem. I'll get back with my stats.
Getting 0.8%/hr battery loss with cm11 by sekil on f4k 1.5.0 kernel. single sim switched on with GSM data. Happy with it :fingers-crossed:
