If experiencing excessive battery drain with the 1.90 PRI, I have read to downgrade to 1.77. However, I've also read to downgrade the NV. Is this necesary to do the NV downgrade as well? Also, is there a certain order to flash these to downgrade? Will the PRI version affect the kernels I can use?

You don't need to downgrade the NV. It wont hurt either way. As far as I know, the only kernel that doesn't play well with the 1.77 pri is the stock htc #15. Any custom kernel will be fine.

Bump. Somebody asked me about downgrading the PRI to 1.77 and I didn't know if it was possible/easy. Can she just flash calk's 1.77 zip and call it a day or is it more involved than that?

Have you checked Caulk's thread for that answer...I don't think it matters if you flash one with out the other. If so I think the all in one would of been the only thing on the page.
I am trying this PRI 1.77 and hope my battery last longer ...

Yeah, I did after I posted that. Search was down for a bit last night and I couldn't find the thread.
I was having battery issues with pri 1.90 as well. Flashed just pri back to 1.77 and was still having battery issues. Then flashed 1.77 nv and now battery is strong once again on Myn rls5

After you've downloaded the PRI 1.77_003, place if on the root of your SD Card. You do not need to do downgrade the NV. Yes, the number of the PRI and NV are the same, but they are two different things and are not dependent on each other. Anyway, reboot your device into recovery. Wipe cache & dalvik cache and then flash the PRI just like you did when you flashed a Rom, a kernel or a mod of some sort. Afterwards, your phone will pause while the PRI is being downgraded and you may automatically reboot into recovery. If so, simply reboot and you're done. Yes, you will appear to hang during reboot because your device will be rebuilding the dalvik so be patient.

I dont like to flash stuff that idk what it is and i couldnt find out what it was so im asking, what is the NV file in the radios section and why do i need it? i have already upgraded my PRI to 1.77_003 and havent updated my radios yet, also im not sure about this but can i update my radios while on CM6 or do i need to go to rooted stock first?
here is the link to the radios: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485
Guys, I did a little search b4 post question here. Still had confusion about NV 1.71 and PRI 1.77.
1. According to some thread here, it says, after flashing nv1.71, the pri should "upgrade" to 1.71, so does that like nv is part of pri or what?
2. since i m still at 1.40_003 PRI, do I need to flash both to upgrade PRI? (Actually, i did HBoot way to flash 1.77, but met 4g network cannot be connected problem, so i downgraded, and try to fix the problem.)
3. After PRI flash, do i need to some update for PRL, thought the current version 60670, which was 60662 after flash?
4. should I flash in the order like this, NV --> PRI --> Radio --> Wimax?
thx in advance, really appreciate you guys here.
If you're rooted, why don't you just go here and flash them all at one time..use the COMBO by Calkulin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485.

Yep, thats what i did and no problems here.
So this is the story.
For one reason or another, messing around with Titanium I lost com.htc.dialer.
I wanted to replace it so I flashed the PC36IMG from root and started the whole rooting guide again, keeping AR v1.8.
Then following the guide, I flashed another PC36IMG which is SprintLover's Rom.
Everything works fine now except that whenever I try to flash Myn's Rom again, or any other rom, it just freezes at the splash screen.
the only way I get back is by restoring the NAND backup I did of Sprint Lovers. Not even the NAND I did of Myn or any other Rom works.
I've been pulling my hair out for this one but I can't seem to figure it out.
Android Version - 2.2
Baseband - 2.15.00.11.19
Kernel Version - [email protected] #15
Build - 3.70.651.1. CL294884 release-keys
Software - 3.70.651.1
PRI-1.90_003
PRL - 60662
Thanks!
BTW if this turns out to be something I missed on the search and it was something really easy...don't flame me that much xD
I was getting the same problem, until I flash fresh and got it to work, i think the problem was our current PRI doesn't match MYN 3.3 software since that PRI version came out with the 3.7 software which is what fresh is based off of

That is correct. Also, I believe in regards to RLS4, that the htc #17 kernel that it comes with is NOT compatible with the newest radio (which you have) Best way around that is to flash a custom kernel, pretty much any one of nets, ziggys, or ms's sbc kernels. So I would try downgrading your PRI to 1.77, flash RLS4, then while still in recovery, flash the kernel. It should work then.
The other option is to wait for RLS5, which should be out relatively soon. That is based on the 3.70 software, and your current radios and PRI will be needed to run with RLS5 anyways. Good luck, and by the way, it's worth it. Myn's ROM is, in my opinion, by far the best sense ROM.
if you flash a custom kernel after flashing myn's ROM, then reboot. you will be fine. stock HTC#17(stock kernel on RLS4) does not play well with PRI 1.90.
-or-
just wait a few more days for final version of RLS5 to come out based on the latest OTA (3.70)....
Thanks everyone =D
I flashed CM6.1 for now after flashing the Eng Hbootand I'll just wait for RL5. It was such a hassle having a half broken phone on my first day back to University with no PC to hook up and change the files...not going to play around with it till the weekend xD
Not to happy with the new PRI in the latest update. I am getting wake/uptime being the same
It seem's virus's website to the link is down. Anyone have the file by chance?
For the PRI 1.77? Thanks

You can't flash radios with CWM. You need Amon Ra for that, which you should just have anyhow.
Be careful and let the flash finish all the way. U don't wanna think that it is frozen and battery pull. Let it do it's thing may take a minute

I've flashed a number of radios using CWM before I made the switch to Amon Ra.
And if I recall correctly the newer radios won't let you downgrade at all. Out of curiosity, why do you want to downgrade your radio? Having the most up to date radio is the best thing to do.
i am trying to flash it back to sprint .. the meid under the battery is good but the esn in the phone is to an incognito bought it on cl and they didnt tell me that so yeahh im kinda screwed outta a phone right now
