Clockworkmod 3.0.0.2 has support for ext4 and would auto convert your filesystem when installed. (please correct me if I am wrong).
However, Unrevoked v3.31 downgraded the version of Clockworkmod being used from 3.0.0.x into 2.6.
My question is, does Clockworkmod 2.6 also have support for ext4?
Ext4 is supported on the Epic... haven't read anything for Evo...
Bobby O's Evo..
Thanks for the info rob97ss.
Anyone else? Does Clockworkmod 2.6 also have support for ext4?
As a matter of fact YES IT DOES
Ive done it as my first time rooting my phone and it worked !
Also i tried it on my Samsung Transform which also worked
Hi all,
I have a Desire GSM, I've unrevoked my desire using ClockworkMod 2.5 and installed CyanogenMod7 on it.
Works great.
Do/Did I need to upgrade my ClockworkMod2.5 - to 3?
Why would I if I do?
Thanks guys

For our desire, at the moment there is no need of 3.x..u can use the 2.x
I have CWM 3 and sometimes it's a pain when I'm installing zip's and they're not supported. That's the only downside to it 3.0.0.5.
Such as?

The scripting between 2.5.1.8 and 3.0.0.5 is different, so you need flashable zips to be compatible with 3.0.0.5 otherwise you have to use 2.5.1.8 instead. All the Ginerbread roms (I assume all of them but not too sure) can be used in 3.0.0.5 but older stuff like Froyo was built to run in 2.5.1.8 because of the scripting. So sometimes you have to use the older one.
I looked for everywhere bit couldn't find any link to clockwork recovery 3.0(ext4 partitions) or ny other that I can use with unrevocked..to make or erase ext4 partitions

Using a recovery to partition ext will only partition ext2/3 at best. To get 4 you can run some scripts or something that will upgrade the ext partition, or you can format it using something like Gparted or Easus.
I definitely recommend doing any partitioning with Gparted, cos I'm running Clockworkmod 3.0 on an SLCD desire (installed during rooting with Unrevoked) and the partitioning option never works. Neither does ROM Manager, whereas Gparted has never failed me once.
Keep ROM manager on your phone though, cos sometimes, 3.0 cant flash a zip cos of some edify script issue, so if this ever happens, go into ROM manager and tell it to flash clockworkmod, then ask it to boot into recovery. It will boot you into clockworkmod 2.5.0.7 as a one off, and flashing these zips in 2.5.0.7 always works.
After you flash the zip and reboot back to android, next time you try to use clockworkmod you'll be back to 3.0.
Here's the thread where you can get Clockworkmod 3.0.0.5:

You should avoid using Rom Manager. It doesn't work properly and causes more problems than what it solves.
In my opinion, use CWM 2.5.0.7 because it works and all scripts work with it. Until there is an official release for 3.0, it won't work properly.

This would be the ideal option, but I found that when using 2.5.0.7 creating backups failed, which is a pretty important feature!!
That's the only reason why I changed to 3.0.0.5.
Have you tried rebooting?
I have been playing with my Desire for some time now, had different ROMs installed (including, but not limited to CyanogenMod, LeeDroid (2.3), SuperNova), some with A2SD+, some with Data2SD (I'd like to stick with that...). I have been searching for a ROM, that would fit my "demands", like having HTC Sense with at least 2.1, the ability to use Data2SD and to be stable enough to use on a daily basis.
So I came across Cool AceS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1018843), and I really want to try that ROM, but I can't, because CWM tells me "update-script is no longer supported". I can not use CWM 2.5.0.7 because I have a PVT4 phone, and it just does not work, so I updated CWM from 3.0.0.5 to 3.2.0.0 and it still won't work. Is there any way to install a ROM (or Radios, ...) that are not compatible with CWM 3.2.0.0?
Keep in mind, that it's a PVT4 Phone...
AmonRa 2.0.1?
Sometimes clockworkmod has problems with pvt4-desires. I would change recovery system to amonra.
You can download it here:

How to flash a new recovery system:
Method a: http://theunlockr.com/2009/10/15/how-to-flash-a-new-recovery-image-if-you-are-already-rooted/
Method b: Run unrevoked again, but integrate amonra recovery before (menu>custom recovery>choose downloaded amonra recovery file).

It looks like the htc aria clockworkmod 4.0.1.4 works on the mytouch slide except for it cant install any .zip files such as cm7 nightlies. Could someone try to get this to work? The only stable clockworkmod we have is clockworkmod 2.5.0.1
here is the link to the 4.0.1.4 clockworkmod for aria http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14693680&postcount=1
extra info: aria nightlies work, but of course espresso nightlies is what we need installing
