K im on metropcs and also the rom developer of MetroDroid and the Evo MetroPCS scripts. i need some help figuring out how Mms broke in CM7 and MIUI...MIUI is still on Froyo and they base it off CM6 so im guessing w/e changed there must have broken it and that change also made it into CM7. i use to just use a certain Mms.apk i have in all froyo AOSP roms and Mms worked but now that something changed Mms isnt working. I have a logcat here. Please any help appreciated. =D

I'm kinda having the same issue on the MIUI rom. Whenever i send a message over 160 characters it fails. I checked split message at 160 in settings but doesn't seem to work.. even using handcent too atm..

On my htc evo 4g, this is by default rom that cricket flashe to my phone,
I am wondering if this is a good rom,
I have noticed my mms doesnt work, it acts like it is sending but it never actually sends the mms to the other person nor can i seem to recieve mms
I am wanting a different rom / newer one
that would increase my battery time,
I only get about from 6am to 3pm before its about dead.
Also id like to fix the mms,
And want to know what the latest PRL is for my phone for cricket.
Also on this rom the front camera doesnt work but when i flashed cm7 with i dont like it works.
I dont want a rom that has a theme i prefer the stock theme / look just midified or with these things i requested.
and everything else such as internet gps text phone working for cricket that i already had.
Please recommend me things things / rom i should use, and links to these latest things.

You can pretty much flash any rom made for the EVO 4G as long as you're rooted, however, I'm not sure if you're able to use those roms with Cricket. I don't why you shouldn't be able to, but I'm not a Cricket customer. Try this. Before flashing a different rom, go into your recovery and make a nandroid backup of your current setup to fall back to in case you're dissatisfied with the new rom or is unable to use it with Cricket. I'm pretty sure you have to have the cricket rom for your phone to work. If you go to another to it probably won't work.

The dev confirmed the Mms issue is solved in the RC4.0U1 build.but I can't confirm coz not tried that.

Didn't notice it was a fix and was holding off the update to aviod the RIL hassles.
I install BCM RC4.0U1 and can not make mms work. Everything else is all good. HTC Desire through Cellcom (WI). Tried setting APN and apns-conf and just about every other thought I could find with no success. Anyone have a mms working with CM9 ICS using Cellcom? Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried alot of the tricks used to correct it for CM7 Froyo but I can't make any of them work. Tried going to voice dialer, say open APNs and add apn for cellcom. Also changed apns-conf and that didn't work.
Has anyone been able to get MMS working with CM9 ICS on Cellcom(WI)? I would appreciate any help.

I have a problem receiving MMS pictures, they come in as thumbnails instead of the full intended size. I'm not a Sprint customer I flashed my phone to nTelos and have no other problems besides MMS.
My typical procedure is to use Titanium Backup then convert APN Backup & Restore as a system app on ICS roms. After restoring APN I use Build Prop Editor to change the mms numeric ID and name to nTelos. I also edit the data profile changing the mms from Sprints server to nTelos. This works for some roms but not others, mainly OTA rooted releases and some custom roms seem to have issues downloading the message. I'd be happy to get a custom rom to work but mainly the ones that do are in alpha or beta which have too many bugs to be a daily driver.
Anyone have an idea why this happens, is it the mms.apk? If so can I replace the mms.apk with another rom developers apk?
I've found a great rom that's stable with good battery life and great performance, but the MMS problem is killing me so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mms issues in stock based roms
The stock ROMs are the issue. DEODEXED ROMs may help. The MMS.apk is tied to framework and is needed for sms in any fix for MMS I have tried. I use Cricket. Gingerbread was the only way people got MMS working in the stock MMS app on most ROMs. Try googling for Cricket universal MMS apk. And post back here if it worked for you. From what I have read it worked for metropcs and boost users.
I also have ntelos. I'm on Hyperdrive 16.1 w an s4. I like s stock and prefer it. I'll work with you on it if you want. I've been trying for awhile now and came get it right yet.

Ok, since I can't write in the OT I have to ask here.
Does anybody else have problem with sending MMS with this rom? I used the latest v10, haven't tried any earlier versions.
I tried installing Dr.Ketan's custom rom to see if it was my phone, but I can send MMS with Dr.Ketan's ROM.
Does anyone know why this is happening? I've tried searching all over Google and here, I've tried everything and nothing works. :<
Edit: I just tried wesamothman's other ROM: Touchwiz stock ROM v5.0 and after that I tried Omega v30 and ULTRA NOTE2, and I can send MMS with them also.
Edit 2: Nevermind, wesamothman had a MMS fix in his own thread, I didn't look thorougly enough........
