Gameloft games crashing

Hello everybody! Does anybody have an idea why all the new gameloft 3D games which you can find here just crash on start? But they run just fine on the Nexus One. What's the problem with our device?

Think this is specific to yourself mate, I'm running Real Football 2010 with no problems. I ran it on my stock software and my Rooted MCR r3 at the minute

Ok, sorry, I wasn't quite right. Asphalt and Real Football are ok. But Sandstorm, NOVA and Gangstar crash in 100% of cases.

Hmm, ok, will give them a try later on when I get in from work. Hope N.O.V.A. does work, loved that game on the iPhone

You'd better not buy it, I afraid it'll be a waste of money for you, because several people have already reported that it doesn't run on their devices either( But it runs fine on Droid/Milestone and Nexus One.

So no fix yet?

NOVA runs ok on my desire.

make sure your downloading the arm version not the omap one, gameloft do 2 versions for each of there games and only the arm versions will work on the desire.... sandstorm for example is omap only atm i think? it will only work with the droid, galaxy s. milestone, ect

Perhaps, it is best to use PC to specify Desire and download them.
If you go on the web via Desire, the automatic download might wrongly identify your phone as a Motorola phone...

Well its a decent 3D game so I like it,
it works btw, you just have to select the Motorola Milestone as your device when purchasing

so does anyone tryed this game ?

Yeah, and it's pretty much the worst game Gameloft released for android to this point.

Hey I cant find avatar anywhere in gameloft, I only see all the old games like UNO and Nova .... I live in UK but even wen I change country to US I still dont see avatar

The game is OK people, it isn't half bad.

but i want the galaxy s version cause they will use the full gpu power in the galaxy or at less they will use it
you know that asphalt5 motorola,htc version is different from the galaxy s version
the galaxy s version is cleaner , smoother and have better graphic

Both GTA and PvZ better be playing nice with my Nexus within the next 2 days or I'm going to be pissed (even though I probably won't even play them)...

just saw the info i was to quick with posting , i guess i was to dissapointed

I've had Plants vs Zombies since it came out in April (it was free for the first 24 hours). The graphics were very poor. Then they released an update as a separate version (1.1) with improved high quality graphics, which you had to pay for. So those who bought version 1.0 had to buy version 1.1 just for better graphics. Unfortunately the 1.1 version crashes all the time mid game, this is why it is not compatible with the Galaxy Nexus and many other devices.
Is it just me, or will GTA III not download?

Aw gutted it doesn't work on the GN!

So glad I read this thread first! I was about to buy it because it shows up in my Market. Here's hoping for an update soon for us with a GN!

I just hope one of the two apps shows up on the last $0.10 day tomorrow :/ Spent enough on stupid apps/games + imported nexus >.<

Chainfire 3D in general works on the Galaxy Nexus, only Night-Mode doesn't.

Has anyone gotten this to work on their Galaxy Nexus?

I don't remember where I originally found it but I have an HD apk of plants vs zombies that is working great.

I got PvZ from Amazon and it works.... but it keeps freezing up...... So it doesn't really work....

[Q] How good is the A100 for Gaming?

Howdy all
Long time forum lurker here, never bothered of making an account.
But now I need to ask this, how good is the A100 for gaming? I can buy one really soon but I was reading reviews and apparently in the press release it is described as a "mom's" tablet.
The dual core and NVidia Tegra 250 + Small screen looks really good and I figured it should run games fine but I want people who own this tablet to let me know first how good it is. My main usage will be films and games, and I mean real games ie GTAIII, gangstar Rio, Asphalt, Modern Combat, ect.

I'm playing Ashpalt 6, Riptide GT, Cut the rope, Let's Golf 3, Road Warior.All of them running fine without glitches or lag.
Although Asphalt is not listed in the market like compatible with the device .
The device itself have some bug with the touchscreen sometimes, search this forum and you will find for what i'm talking about.I see it too but very rarely and only when typing.
For the movies 720p resolution is playable and is good looking on the device.The battery life is almost 4 hours without stop playing .Some people say that is a weak point but ... it's up to you to decide.

I agree, it can game just fine. I have not played Gta though. One Problem is a bunch of games aren't listed in the market, so you have to find the apk online and load it up. 720p runs awesome too.

how do you play asphalt 6? did you change build.prop? market says it is not compatible with a100 =(

Editing the build.prop to that of the A500 should make it work (and let it show up in the market).

and flexreaper rom but the game does not appear =(

All of the games that are actually compatible with it seem to run very well on it. Gameloft is finally putting some support on for this device; they have 15 games available for it now.
The hardware supports everything I've run on it well. When I think of a "Mom's tablet" I think Kindle Fire. This one is far more capable.

Shared it from the phone.
The the build.ptop wich show it is from tabooyay rom from the developers section though.

No problems then with sending the apks to your tab from phone? I thought about just using titanium and hoping that restores market links for updates

Gameloft has Ashalt 6 listed as compatible with the a100. I bought it from them back in January.

How can it be?
I managed to see asphalt changing the build.prop and i installed it. When the game tries to download the resources the first time it says the device is not compatible. This message comes up with both a500 and a100 build.prop.
So now what? (Is it possible this game is compatible with a100 depending on country? I know this is dumb but I can't see any other reason at this point)

Good news but personally I don't like gamelofts... Asphalt played 5-6
Controls was very bad... I hacked asphalt 6 to complete some tracks lol it was so hard passing drift race Dmm... Nfs and racing thunder much better then it... As well as less in memory... That's my point...

For mobile phones, unfortunately, yes.. because they don't require such complex controls that action games need.. the screen size are limited on mobile phones so i never enjoyed games such as Max Payne and GTA.. asphalt series and other racing games, however are acceptable, but they're heavy and eats battery a lot..
So i prefer casual and simple games.. If you're into heavy gaming i suggest you to get a tablet instead..

Besides that, iOS developers have only a few products to deal with... 3GS, 4, 4S, the 3 editions of iPads and iTouch, whereas Android has several manufacturers with a gazillion phone models to work with, with different hardware specs and OS versions as well. So try to be in Gameloft's shoes for a sec. Besides, we don't want a released (paid) app that's full of bugs anyway.

I tweeted gameloft and just got a reply now
We have hit a slight delay with the android release, we anticipate it will be available by the end of this week.

Well, I connect my device with my led tv and a gaming pad. But dude, you can be great at anything. These are crap excuses!! I mean you say that games are hard...ya, but not impossible, man!
You can find multiplayer mode players there who are just damn great.
So, you people just accept that you can't do that.
You are blaming gameloft for making that type of games that you can't play!!

i'm not saying GL can't make games that playable, imo playing such games on a phone wont give you the best 'possible' result.. you definitely never play the same game on a different device.. that's why i recommend to play it on a tablet instead..
i may not be the best player/gamer but i choose not to.. sometimes it's boring and other people don't even care if you're that good.. i experienced this many times on numerous online games i've played.. now i play none of them..
oh, you have a TV and a gamepad.. but for gaming from a phone? seriously? PS3/X360 looks very outdated now..

I do like them. But trying to be the best in everything doesnt look like a bad idea. Well, I like to play on PC more!
For me, I JUST LIKE TO TRY THEM ALL AND BEING GOOD TOO.
