Strange issue - generated a .zip file from UOT including battery mod, custom icons and boot animation.
When I flashed the first one it seemed to work, but I've noticed that not all the icons on the status bar have been updated, for example the wifi and signal strength ones are original GB, all the others seem to have changed.
Ran a second .zip with a few changes and produced an error message on install saying it couldn't update the boot animation, although the new animation is there.
Confused....
Do you only have gingerbread theme or also a gingerbread rom? If you have a gingerbread rom you can only use the battery icon and boot animation option form the kitchen. The rest of the icon's are no longer in the framwork.res.apk, so they won't work.
Well, that makes it even more confusing. The boot ani and battery icon can be changed, but my first UOT theme also changed the other icons eg downloading, updating, preparing SD card etc. All of them in fact apart from the network signal strength and wifi icons.
Flashed back to original ROM (GingerVillain0.9) for now. But still none the wiser.
I got something from UOT today and it made me boot loop. Strange thing is ive used it loads of times and I know it was the right framework...
I wondered about the framework so I tried uploading the file from the ROM zipfile, but it didn't help.
As I said I decided in the end to restore back to the basic version and leave it alone for now. Might try just the battery mod on its own as I quite like the percentage values - not bothered about the rest really.

Curious as to if anyones tried/managed to do this.
I flashed defrost 0.2, and im not really keen on the standard Android status bar, so tried to flash the circle battery one, rebooted and the boot screen kept lagging and crashing.
Advice?
afaik the froyo roms are not deodexed, so customization won't work yet

It worked for me
Ok i updated to new fresh then i went to load my custom things i like. The new battery zip, radio, pri, browser blue & clock #'s. I rebooted and it froze on the error screen with the arrow going down. Pulled battery put back in and still came up to the same screen and now nothing doesn't come on at all. Rooted with same phone since launch working great till i loaded all my tweaks at the same time. t/u for any help.
I just noticed a weird Issue. After I Flashed Syngery RC2 I checked my MMS settings and changed them to 5 mb. Well the other day I opened up settings and Checked Max Message Size It says 200, 500, and 1 M opposed to the larger options it had before.
I flashed a couple of things I think it may be the transparent Notification bar as when looking in the Zip it had Mms.apk in it, I replaced the Mms.apk in that zip with the one from the rom and reflashed and still no New Max Message size, So something else must be missing.
I also Flashed a different Kernel, (Not sure if that mod was in the kernel) I am just trying to figure out what Broke it and how to fix it. I am hoping I don't have to Reflash the Rom althought, I suppose I was looking for a reason to Try Godzilla Mode.
Thanks for any suggestions.
This is NOT a "How do i return to stock thread?" as i plenty know how to do that. Its more of a two part question.
1.) Changed the lock screen banner on AOKP i believe it was, and then did the usual wipe before flashing (data/cache/dalvik/format system) and flashed several new roms. Wiped in between each. Each kept this custom text. Next thought was it could have been stored in the radio, so i flashed a lower radio, rebooted, flashed newer radio to no avail. Still said custom text on lock screen, no matter what rom. Flashed back to a rom with the option to edit it, changed it to Verizon Wireless, back to stockish look then. Guess the question is, does anyone know where exactly this text is stored?
2.) Every-so-often i take my phones back completely stock and wipe all memory. Just gives me a feeling of cleanliness. Fastboot flashed all my stock 4.0.2 images (radios, bootloader, recoveries) and did the update step, with reboots where needed. Took it all the way stock except for relocking. Once i was on 4.0.2, installed CWM touch and got IMMK76K rooted stock and newest radios. Noticed my notification blinking light was still blue from the last rom i flashed. I know i can easily change the color using an app/rom, but the question being is why did it carry over the led indicator color from a past rom when i took it all the way back stock. Where is this stored that it magically wasn't over-written by fastboot flashing all the stock images?
Long post, sorry.
Hi! I have an issue. I wanted to give my tablet a boost, and I decided to do the autoroot method. The first time, everything was fine. However, when I tried flashing a custom rom and then going back to the stock rom, the issues began. Since this is my first post, I can't post any pictures, so if you want them, send me a message and I'll send them to you via email. The list of random appearing symptoms include:
White status bar
Random colored (depending lf the last app used) recent apps buttons
White patch over wifi and battery icons
White flash on the top left of the screen when there are notifications
Please help me! I 've tried:
Wipe
Stock firmware reinstall
Recovery wipe and reinstall
Change kernel
Etc...
Thanks for your time and support.
