In MOST cases once you do these changes you loose the ability to do OTA
Why have you done this is you still feed the need to stick with the stock rom?

I can't remember where I read it, but this is a known issue, but the SYSTEM INFO is the one that interferes with your ability to flash new radios so don't panic

same probl.... but which is the right CID?The one in bootloader SYSTEM INFO that shows CID = 1111111 or the one we read via adb or CID Getter app ?
How to finally change it?

Technically they are all right, but the important one is the bootloader one, which tells the phone in bootloader mode that it's unbranded. As i said earlier it's a known issue and being worked on so currently your stuck with the different CIDs
An Android known issue or an Htc / operator branding one? I'd like to know right know
Anyway I solved, installing a stock ROM 1.32.x, visionary+ permroot and one tool eng s-off. SystemInfo appeared into menu.

Hello everybody,
I tried to install jellytime on my Desire HD, so i used Easy Ace Root Tool.
I used fastboot command to flash the boot.img to the phone and since then, the only menu available is the one of the bootloader.
As far as i tried the ruu packages fail to restore things.
Is there a way (preferably a guide) to return my phone to stock ?
Loading to fastboot now shows:

I found the rom.zip from the second file, renamed it to PD98IMG.zip and inserted it to my sd, but it say CID error.
I saw that everyone says about a goldcard but i don't seem to get it. The goldcard generator i downloaded say they could not locate the CID. Can i download a CID image?
Where should i put it, if i find one?
Thanks!

Try the AAHK2 Script. Make sure you follow all the instructions before using the script.. It will automatically do things for you and just follow the on screen instructions... At the end you will have your Stock Rom perfectly running... :good:

Do not use the AAHK2 if you are trying to return to stock for warranty purposes, thou I highly doubt that you still have warranty on this device .
In order to bypass the CID error you need to use a goldcard. Otherwise, you will need the exact ruu for your device.

After trying the 4.3 beta versions, i tried again to install the original firmware.
As before, the ruu setup did not work. It should, since my cid is HTC__001, and i was trying with every WWE version available.
Anyway, during setup, i found in the temp folder the rom.zip, and within it the necessary boot.img, system.img and recovery.img.
I flashed them through cmd using fastboot.
Everything worked out, now i am back to stock, but i guess that my phone is something like Frankenstein, using the radio and libraries from the last jellytime image i installed...
It works, but i don't recommend it. I think that i finally got lucky, and didn't brick my Desire HD.
Thanks for all your help and interest.

i think you misunderstood him mate, he flashrd only specific img files from ruu not the whole thing. in this case, radio doesnt get flashed, but that shouldnt be to big of a problem.
to op: custom roms dont contain radios. so radio that is on your device is the same as before you flashed jellytime

Well, RILs are not compatible then, and many AOSP partitions can not work fine with Sense Roms. If he did that then his cell might explode....
forgot about rils and didnt know about partitions.

Hi I have a htc one v on 3 (H3G__001) it is on hboot 1.18.0000 radio 3831.19.00.120
I cant seem to find a ruu file for it even on androidfileshost.
all other ruu files fail at one point or another usually due ro wrong CID or older HBOOT
I have tried running a ruu with the correct hboot then when it got to the confirmation page i types %.temp% and found where the temp
install files were and i opened the rom.zip and edited the android-info.txt file adding H3G__001 to the file saving it and rezipping it then
continuing with the RUU installation.
Im hoping someone can help me recover the phone as im stuck in how to get it back working.
It is my fault as I locked the bootloader when returning to stock BEFORE I flashed the recovery and hboot (I know im an idiot) and htcdev wont unlock my relocked bootloader it just freezes then eventually gives me the "too many links" error message

Hi guys, I´ve bought a DHD, it is my third DHD and the first with troubles. I always did the job using the instructions on htcdev website, but this time it stucks.
The problem? My DHD is a vodafone branded, software number 3.13.161.5 at the htcdev site they dont offer this RUU, only the 3.13.161.3 and of course it won´t work.
In the fastboot menu I got following infos...

HBOOT 2.00.0027
RADIO 26.14.52.27

does anyone got this appropriate RUU to download so I can do the job, or can it be done on some other way, but please as easy as possible
Thanks

In htcdev site it says:
"NOTE: If you do not find your ROM version in the table below, and your ROM version is newer, then your device does not require the RUU. Please bypass these steps and continue to the next page."
Because you have newer hboot, just go to next page.
If you whant to get full unlocked bootloader S-off you can use AAHK2 by Phiber2000.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2367322
But it's a little complicated.
Thank you for your reply, but I tried this already, and it wont work. Maybe because my HBOOT is 0027??? I´d rather not to perform a S-off cause I never did it before...
I open the CMD and type fastboot oem_get_identifier_token and the result is : ... INFO(ERR) Command error!!!
I cannot get the token!

Download that UK hboot from HTC dev, start ruu, find in temp rom.zip (or boot.zip, something like that), rename it to PD98IMG.zip, put it on a goldcard, go in hboot and flash it.
Or you can download the whole rom here:
http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Ace
And the steps are the same.
When you downgrade it with whole ROM just run ruu form htcdev. You don't have to do it with goldcard.
Here is what I did... I download the UK 3.13.161.3 from htcdev found it in temp folder rename it and put it on my sdcard, because I couldn´t find a tutorial how to make a goldcard. Then I went to bootloader and the phone asked me do I want to flash it i choosed yes and the phone restarted. Than I run the RUU but I got the ERROR (191) ROM IS NOT SUPPORTED
EDIT:
I noticed that my bootloader says nov LOCKED so I try again reading the token and I got it, but after pasting the token htcdev gave me following message:
Unlocking Bootloader Failed!
Sorry it didn't work out. Here's why:

We're sorry, but it appears your attempt to unlock the bootloader on this device has failed. You can install HTC Europe + it's world wide (but it's litle older):
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed.exe
Or latest for europe (turkey version):
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_227499_signed.exe
In some thread I was read that even people from US install it.
Yes, whenever you downgradeing rom or hboot or whant to install rom whitch is not for your CID on locked hboot you have to use goldcard.
You get error 191 because you are trying to downgrade on locked hboot.
To make a goldcard:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-make-gold-card-for-htc-desire-hd/
(4. Go to this page, enter the reverse CID)
Because this page not working here is new one:
http://huygens.hoxnet.com/goldcard.html
Thank you very much, I did it. I just put the ROM.zip found in the temp folder on my sd card, renamed. Then went to bootloader it asked me to whether to flash or not. and than I could get my token...
Hey guys I want to unroot my old desire, I have managed to put original ruu on but my hboot still says revolutionary and my hboot is 6.93 I tried downlaoding and running android flasher but it failed when writing the hboot that came with it. Does anyone know how to do it so I can have it locked with s-on?
I don't believe I have stock hboot and can't find a good link to one either.
Thanks

So if I follow this:
Visit Alpharev and download the "Downgrader"
[STEP2]- Flash the downgrader over fastboot. This can be done with Android Flasher, cmd, or fastboot commander (Note: android flasher is the
only program that does not require third party software such as Android SDK or Java JDK)
[STEP3]- You should now notice the title on the bootloader screen is "Alpharev Unlock", run the RUU again and you will have S-ON'd your device.
Am I right in saying it will change to s-on but it will also get rid of revolutionary at the top of the screen? Can I change that to locked after by using fastboot oem lock?

Ur version main is 2.10.405.2 the ruu ur trying is version 1.22.771.1 so u have to use a ruu with version main 2.10.405.2 or higher
In addition to the above, find and use the 2.3.3 GB RUU from shippedroms
If it fails to flash normally, flash it using the PB99IMG.zip method, point [7] from the same guide
Greetings,
Would appreciate any help/direction. It's been a while since I bought a new phone to mess with, even longer since it was GSM.
Picked up a new unlocked HTC10, I want to get it updated to Oreo firmware and ready to go for US Carrier Ting (well, T-Mobile). Will probably run Leedroid's ROM, but may test others.
I have done HTCDev unlock and installed TWRP, what's next to get Oreo Firmware before flashing ROMs?
I'm also guessing I'll need to change the CID, and maybe the MID.

Once again, thanks for any assistance.
Change your CID to HTC__034, after that flash this ruu in download mode, boot the device and check for the OTA oreo update.

Thanks for the info. Do I need to get S-OFF before I can change the CID?
Attempting to change it now results in: FAILED (remote: WRITE CID PERMISSION ERROR)
Also, the current CID is the "SuperCID" 11111111. Do I really need to change it?
Thanks again!

I thought it was S-OFF (i know it says S-ON in your info though) because supercid like you have can only be written with S-OFF.
Try the ruu without changing the CID but it may fail due to incompatible CID. If that is so run the S-OFF sunshine tool just for fun to see if it has been used.

That worked. Afterwards I installed TWRP again, then Leedroid.
All set now, thanks!
