well you going to get flamed there is a question sub forum for the evo.
Not sure about your Aria but on evo roms a kernel is present when you flash a rom it just has to be there. Not sure where you were going with this
If you have a EVo and want to flash a sense rom just flash it, there are other kernels available but are not required to be flashed ontop in order for that ROM to work
Yup what ^ he/she said. Just make sure you wipe everything before going from and to aosp roms. Kernels are included with all roms. But when you go to the cm wimax thread you will see that you need to flash a kernel with the rom for it to work.. which is downloadable on the thread.
A drop of Chuck Norris's semen was placed on Android OS. We now have CyanogenMod.
Hey thanks a lot. I just wanted to be sure... I did do a search for the subject tto no avail. I appreciate you'd speedy response. He flashed the wimax rom and got stuck in the bootloader even after clearing everything so maybe just have to try it again. Thanks

I have been looking for a stock deodexed stock rom to flash to my evo. All the ones I see are doctored or edited in some way. I want a pure one, full stock to flash to my phone.
I am running full root with netarchy-toastmod 4.1.8 cfs and amon_ra 1.8.2 recovery. Also I have hboot 0.76.0002 and my PRI is 1.77.
Thx for any suggestions.
you didnt look very hard then... sorry tis the truth.

It's where I got mine. Good luck.
Netarchy has a stock sense de-odex'd rom. If your going that route though, I suggest burnt Droid. Link in my sig.
I'll give it a try. Thx!
Thx again bender, I love it!.. Only been using it for a couple hours but I like it...lol

I know I know, "dude check the development section people are already making 3.70 custom roms..." yeah I know but most of them add their twist to it, like a different bootup animation/different phone dialer, etc. I just want it to be like the official sprint 3.70 rom.
Note: I have the sprint lovers 3.29 rom now but I was wondering if anyone else has came out with a 3.70 sprint clone rom......
Wow...did you miss the huge thread that says stock 3.70 rooted and deodexed? Kinda exactly what your looking for.

huh? Deodexed? I don't even know what that is. I'm guessing that is the NAME OF THE CUSTOM ROM, well I have the SPRINT LOVERS CUSTOM ROM. So when I scanned a few hours back i looked at the titles for something like "Sprint like custom rom" or "rom based of the latest 3.70 rom" so seing something named "deodexed" didn't click in my head as because I'm pretty much new to this sprint lovers rom is the only custom rom I'ved installed.

so a thread titled "[ROM] RUU SuperSonic EvO 3.70.651.1 OTA - Stock - Sense - Deodexed & Odexed Version" was too tough to figure out? Deodexed is not the name of the rom...it is a term related to the construction of the rom. Google it before you ask us what it means.
Deodexed means that the individual pieces of the ROM are converted to APKs. Deodexing makes customization easier/ possible at all. Odexed ROMs don't allow customization.

I also have a post up there that is stickied that says read first. On the 3rd post is where I keep stock rooted ROM's updated. -.-

AGAIN, I was looking for something along "sprint like rom" "based off official 3.70 rom" I figured deodexed was the name of the rom(most developers have the name of their rom in the title) or something. There are a lot of 3.70 roms but most developers add their twist to them so that's what I figured after seeing deodexed. and yeah now I know "deodexed" is not the name of the custom rom. and far as supersonic evo? I've never heard of supersonic before, is that something that makes the custom rom fast or something...
Update: oh wait, supersonic is just another name for the HTC Evo 4g it seems. well I never really paid attention to it even though it's listed in the main threads :0

Ok seriously "[ROM] RUU SuperSonic EvO 3.70.651.1 OTA - Stock - Sense - Deodexed & Odexed Version"
That doesnt tell you its a frickin stock rom?
Sorry for bothering you people as im not an expert here. I have an htc evo and was wondering what is the best or a good rom that still has 4g and has the latest android version cause i only have 2.2. And before putting the rom on the phone what should i do? thanks for your help?
there are many in the dev section that fit your req's. I have personally used both myn's and calk's and enjoyed them both.
As for the procedure, basically make sure you do a nand backup first and foremost. After that, wipe appropriately, meaning: system, data, and cache (both regular cache and dalvik)
Oh, and 2.2 is the best your gonna get if you want working wimax, until they integrate it into cyanogenmod.

I think all the Sense Roms have working 4g. Myns and MikFroyo are very good Roms. As far as gingerbread goes, I don't think there is a 2.3 Rom with working 4g. Before flashing a Rom, do a nandroid back up.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
How would i do a nandroid back up and where would i get mikfroyo from
MikFroyo is in the development section, depending on if you are using Amon's recovery or clockwork the process for doing a nandroid back up is basically the same. Just boot into recovery, choose back up/ restore then back up. There is an HTC-evo channel on IRC on freenode.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I personally also use Calk's format all before flashing any new ROMs as well. You can find that zip in the development forum under the EViO 2 ROM.

uhhhhhhh pretty sure CM7 + WiMax has working 4G? It's only been available for like a month now and all...
least I would assume since, ya know, i am getting like 7 down on Gingerbread...maybe I just get super amazing 3G...hell what do I know? Maybe that little 4G symbol when I turn WiMax on is fake...

Since this isnt even available for everybody yet, is it stable at 1.65ghz?

You will be able to get higher than 2000 with this kernal easily. The thing is though, I don't think you can flash back to froyo after going to GB, or atleast I can't.
this is for GB? Wish it would of stated it in the op. Where can I find a Oc kernel for froyo with this kind of potential?

Just curious, why are you on such an outdated version of MIUI?
Cause everything works..and ICS builds still have some question marks...small ones but there still there and i use my phone for business so everything has to work.
I tried a new kernel and the stock one is better so....
Everything works in 2.3.2, also...
Which is 2 months past the one you're using
2.3 didn't work on my evo...12.9 was the smoothest for me...every evo is different
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
You can flash the rom over itself without wiping data and you'll be back to the stock kernel.

Yea well once i find a good stable rom i dont update really unless it has a new feature i want.
Back when i was on myns warm 2.2. I was on RLS3 and it was awesome..smooth,great battery. So i didnt update to RLS5 for bout 3 months after it was released. But i gave in for the notification bar quick settings. But RLS5 never gave me as good battery life as RLS3.
So once i find a good rom/kernel combo. I stick with it.
