[Q] Problem with kernels and CWM

Hello!
Noticed one thing. After flashing Rogue Kernel 1.1.3 I'm starting to get some strange trouble. As example, very often I'm loosing SD Card. It is working and then, suddenly I'm getting the message it is "Suddenly unmounted". May be because it is getting overheated. I noticed that too.
After I've flashed Stock kernels with CWM (EG30/EG31) it is working very good but buttons in CWM not working as it is supposed to work. As example, "Power" button not working at all.
Is it only me so lucky or somebody else have this problem too? Please, I need some advice or solution?
Help me, please?
Can somebody give me a link for CWM 5.0.27. Just for CWM? I've tried to find it but with no result.
I need your help, guys.
In 5.0.27 the power button is the back function and the home is the select function.

[Q] Baseband -67 / -36 and custom ROM

Hello all, I'm new to this forum and i got some questions, (I did research, but I haven't find answer for my Q).
Ok so I got installed custom ROM on .58 FW, and I want change baseband from -67 to -36. I went thru tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1469473 I did everything exactly how its says in step by step guide. The problem is when phone boots it keep giving me wellcome screen, poping up msg what I dont have enough space for my SMS, and when I go into phones internal storage its nothing there, I mean it does not show how many free space left and how many used.
So my question is: ROM is not supported by this baseband because this ROM is based under BB -67 ? Or I need to do something else ?
I want have this baseband because sometimes when I use data internet on my phone it respond very slowly.. i.e. I browsing internet everything OK, then I switch off screen and turn it back on, then go into browser and press any link there, my phone shows what is sending data but not receiving, after some while everything comes back and working fine again.. It very anoing thing, and I want fix that somehow.. I had this problem before I started to do any flashing (I was with stock FW) and now after some flashing new ROMs and kernels I still having..
Any suggestions ?

No solution guys ?
You may want to try re-formatting (called a factory reset in CWR)
Get to your bootloader and the option should be there to delete the data/cache partitions.
Note - you should backup, nandroid, etc before doing this.
Thanks for the post, I will try as soon as I get home, hope this will help.

Strange things happen to my i9195... suddenly out of the blue, wifi won't turn on neither from quick settings panel nor the settings itself...
Everything else works as it should(data, bluetooth, airplane, gps, sound etc) but the wifi setting tries to turn on but immediately turns of. anyone had this problem?
and more important... a solution??????????
Which rom are you on? You could try reflashing a rom to clear any possible software issues

thanks guys for your replies...
i was on stock rooted xxuamf4, i flashed both xxuamh3 and xxuamg8 (these two i had already downloaded) but problem remained. just to eliminate software issue , as a last resort i flashed CM 10.1.3 and magically my device was fully functional again( by the way ..:good: to CM...).
So WTF? i 'll try later to flash a stock non rooted fw and see what will happen...
p.s : anyone know how to change baseband? in my sgs3 mini i used to flash different modem for that. what works for this device?
p.s 2 : thanks again for your time guys!:good:
flashing back stock firmware , problem reappeared! it seems something has to do with knox , because every time i try to open wifi a toasted notification appears "prevention information... the device as detected...bla...bla...bla"
the thing is that if i root my phone and completely delete knox, knox agent, store and container agent, the notification stops but the wifi setting still cannot be enable.
any ideas????

Back to report that re-rooting with arco's method but with rootkit v2 (that includes kernel) seems to solve the issue! the steps i follow was :
1) gain root
2) install cwm recovery
3) with es explorer delete knox store, knox agent, container agent (both apk and odex files)
4) reboot to cwm recovery
5) clear cache and davlik cache
6) reboot and RESURRECTION!!!:good:

i think it's a kernel related issue. But first in order to eliminated hardware problem possibility, try to flash a cm rom. If your wifi and bluetooth works then you can be sure it's not a hardware failure. in my case flashing a different kernel solved the issue.
p.s : if you find a way to change baseband version ,please share the way!!!

you need flash same version Kernal file, example: when you finished flash MH2 stock firmware, if wifi shotdown, just flash MH2's Kernal file, file size around 7MB

Is it hardware issue?
Same problem for me (1st post): new i9195 with latest XXUCNK1, never flashed before,
install twrp and make a backup, install CM-12.1 and CM-13 without any issue,
After restore to KK using my twrp backup I can't turn on wifi,
solution was to flash Modem_I9195XXUCNK1.tar from modem thread.
I notice that twrp doesn't restore previous modem I update to XXUCOL1

[Q] 4.3 Soft Brick Fix

Hey guys, i just made an account just to see if there's any solutions or fixes to this problem i have. I flashed MJC 4.3 on my phone and i noticed that the Wifi wouldn't turn on, at first too i didn't have any signal so i flashed the modems that the thread has provided. I searched everywhere for a solution but i can't find one that works, i tried flashing another rom while fully factory restoring everything but no luck at all. Can anyone help me?
In the same thread there is a ATT unlocked kernel. Flash it along with that Rom.
