[Q] weird recovery problems!

okay so i am rooted, and am running cm6.1 stable. i usually use rom manager to do my backups and everything which puts all of my nandroid backups in clockwork mod, but when i am manually flashing a new rom i use amon ra recovery because its much easier to wipe dalvik and cache and whatnot. however after i flashed a rom my recovery is stuck in amon ra so i cant get into my nandroid backups, clockwork mod wont reflash through rom manger, and im stuck,

This came up after installing this [MOD] Uncapped Data For Your ROMS (Skyraider, Virtuous, OMGB, ETC) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=891047
Didn't seem to work so I tried to restore my backup I had made. And here we are.

Nandroid Restore with Custom MTD Mod

I'm currently on Arayray Revamped right now with custom MTD partition mod. If I make a nandroid backup of this and then do a factory wipe when I want to restore the backup would I just do a restore and then flash the mtd boot patcher? Thanks!

Restoring Nandroid backup from TWRP

I tried AOKP Milestone 6 ROM but decided to go back to stock rooted ICS FF18. I originally had AGAT recovery before flashing this AOKP rom. I made a nandroid backup on AGAT which is saved on my external sd card.
I wiped data, cache, dalvik. (hope that was not a mistake). I clicked restore but no file is shown. I can see the file from TWRP recovery under sdcard/clockworkmod/backup but I don't know how to install it. Obviously I did something totally rookie. Not used to TWRP recovery at all.
How do I restore my Nandroid backup?
Well I'm going to answer my own question because I figured it out. Hopefully this helps someone else.
This video will walk you through it BUT do not use the Preserve user data option. Use the Reset user data option. Then just install AGAT recovery and you're good to go.
