There might be an easier way, but what I do is just flash a stock rom and use titanium backup to backup the apks

Grab a stock rom from the development section below. Open it with whatever zip program you use. In system/apps folder you will find the apps. Extract them and install like any other app. If you have one that doesn't install you will have to do as stated above.

Well the SPL/Radio dosent matter on the Sapphire so just do it all through rom manager, PS Get That from the market for free
Can you give me a link for the zip files I need as well as some directions on how to update to latest cyanogen rom.
Thanks
Dude I said, download Rom Manager from the market, then flash clockworkmod recovery from rom manager, then download CM6 from the Download Rom section of rom manager

Thanks. One more question. After I install cm6, should I install the google apps? For some reason every time i try and install the updated google maps with the directions people have provided on the internet it seems to not work. Thanks for your patience, obviously I am new to this and am trying to learn so I don't have to ask these kind of questions anymore
Always install google apps when instaling a new version of CyanogenMod

It seems a lot of people are having issues with 10.3. I uninstalled completely and installed 10.2 and all of my issues vanished. No issues with websites playing flash with the stock browser and dolphin HD. (Haven't tested others) Hulu works as well.
I found these on another thread so I take no credit for making them.

Use Root Explorer to navigate to this folder/file and on the top right of the screen it says "R/O"...make sure you tap it once and it says "R/W" for Read/Write and then delete the file.

I've done exactly that and I still can't install 10.2. I'm currently on 10.1 and can't install.
Try and use titanium backup to uninstall flashplayer + data completely then load the 10.2 apk. What rom are you using?

Here's what worked for me. Installed 10.2, use TB to convert to system file, rebooted, wiped cache/Dalvik, opened Market, clicked on My Apps, and installed the 10.3 update. Worked perfectly on AOSP GB 2.3.4. I've attached the 10.2 Flash in apk format. Hope this helps.......
In updating to 10.3 I've done what has been suggested in the above posts. I am currently back to Flash 10.1. I've uninstalled Adobe Flash 10.3, wiped cache and dalvik cache. Next I put the 10.2 apk on my sd card. I tried installing it via Astro, ES File Explorer, and Root Explorer. No matter what program I use to install the apk I get an "Application not installed" error. My question is, should I uninstall the stock Adobe Flash 10.1, clear cache and dalvik cache again, and then try to install 10.3?
hey can anyone help me? im a noob and im having trouble with my flash player too. i downloaded the lates update from the market and it still doesnt work. im trying to stream movies online from my evo and it keeps giving me the blue box with a question mark inside. if some one knows how to fix it can you please walk me through it step by step. I have an htc evo 4g running on 2.2, unrooted, flashed to boostmobile, with flash player 10.3

Root and rom

I am wanting to help my dad root and rom his DROID incredible. Is there a one click app to root his phone like I used for my phone or is unrovoked it? Also romming, are there any guides? One more thing, where do you get clockwork recovery and roms? Rom manager?
Sent from my rooted/gingerbread/fast/awesome droid x
To root get unrevoke is a one click process... Once rooted you can get recovery clockmod from rom manager after that you can install any rom from the dev forum just follow the instruction on the thread... if you want like skyrider or virtuous you can get those from rom manager or if you want like sense 3.0 you get those roms from the dev forum...
Hope it helps..
Unrevoked is a one click root and it installs clockwork recovery. For roms, check out the development section, the OP will have info on how to flash.
He also wants nfl mobile from vzw will he be able to have that?

NFL mobile can be downloaded from the market, but a monthly fee is required for the live feed during games.

Root and Rom
Unrevoked is definitely the best way to go, it is sooo easy. Then after its rooted you are pretty much free to do whatever. I used Rom Manager (Premium version, its only a few bucks and a good way to thank the guys who made it) with that you can download and install any incredible roms you want. I recommend Warm z 2.2 , I am currently using their nightlies which are still works in progress but they are awesome. One thing to note when installing the roms is to have all your previous apps and settings backed up, then when you install wipe the cache, wipe the dalvic cache, and wipe the data for best results. Otherwise you may end up in a bootloop, which if that happens don't panic its not the end of the world. As for ways to unroot, they are out there, i just don't know them off the top of my head, nor do i see a reason to after experiencing freedom!

Back it up with TI backup, also if he purchased it then it'll stay in your market under 'my apps'. If it's a free app, then you should be able to just re-download it with no worries?
The market still shows all VZW content on rooted phones, I wouldn't see any reason why that should break.
Just make sure you fully back up your current stock ROM before rooting, you might find you forgot to back up your contacts or have a couple of apps that you forgot to backup and it's easy to restore that and go back to exactly what you had before so you don't miss anything important.
Also the app's don't root devices fully, unrevoked completely unlocks everything on the INC, you can load custom bootloaders and kernels. As far as I know there is no app available, but although unrevoked is a little more of a pain if you don't have the correct drivers at first, it's a better choice.
Hope you get to do everything you're wanting to do with the INC
Half way done! We rooted tonight and are gonna rom soon.

One more question, can I get instructions to flash cm7 from stock? We haven't done anything to it except root and use a few root apps. I only can find guides to flash from cm6 not stock. Thank you for your patience and help

Make a backup in CWM (reboot to it through ROM Manager) and then boot again, use MyBackup Root from the Market to back up all data (photos are not necessary to back up) and then reboot to CWM and wipe data and cache 3x each, then flash cm7 then gapps

So I don't need a new radio or anything? Nice! Could I just use rom manager to automate this?
Sent from my rooted/gingerbread/fast/awesome droid x
Anyone?
Sent from my rooted/gingerbread/fast/awesome droid x
No you don't need a different radio, I'm using the stock one (7.28) right now and its working great. And yes, you can use rom manager to automate the process but it seems more reliable to do your flashing manually in recovery.

Root

I have a HTC EVO and I have root access on it now. There is a update available which is the gingerbread update. Can I use that gingerbreak apk file to regain root if I take that gingerbread update?? Thanks..
RE: root
You can root GB with revolutionary.io. I did two EVO 4Gs earlier today without problem. I'd recommend flashing a stock-ish Gingerbread ROM that's already rooted, though, like SprintLovers.
Here's the easiest way: Install ROM Manager from the app market and buy the premium upgrade. Using premium, you can download and install custom ROMs pretty damn easily. I also recommend using ROM Manager to back up the current ROM (to make it super easy to restore if you have a problem), then using Titanium Backup (free in the market) to backup all your apps. Then install the new ROM and wipe everything (check the two bottom choices in ROM Manager when you choose the ROM to install). After your new ROM is installed, re-install Titanium from the market and restore all your apps and their settings.

IF you are refering from one of "Haus" Roms, you can't go wrong that is one of "Regonized Dev's" On XDA. But if you type what your looking for in the search bar, you will have your answer to any device, rom, files, XDA recommends us to a "Full Search" before starting a Thread.
Good luck and I know as I did when first started its exciting!
Your answer on Odexed & De-Odexed find it here from a great source for answers,

[Q] GB custom ROM and sprint apps? or how to?

Ok I know some of you out there like the sprint app's I have a friend that likes them.
So I am curious is there any packages with the sprint apps like nfl and nascar etc. That will work on the new custom GB roms? Or how I can get them and test them.
If I am missing it somewhere please point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

Grab the first Deodexed ROM posted by ACS and just use 7zip to pull them out of the ROM package and push them to your phone with root explorer. They will be in the system/app directory.
Here is one that should have all stock apps:

Ok thanks I will try that, and test that.
I like Sprint TV myself, I have kept a copy safe with Titanium Backup. You would have to go back to stock then make a backup of the apps to want then reflash your desired rom, download TB and restore the apps you want. There is an easier way im sure. Im new at this.
