[Q] Anyone else now hearing static on GV Voicemail playback? - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

All,
Just today I started hearing major static on all voicemail left on my inbox. I have Verizon and the Dinc, and I forward to GV for voicemail. Now whenever someone leaves a message, there is static to the point that the message is inaudible. I was able to replicate this issue by calling myself and leaving a message. Also, I hear the static when playing back via a computer on GV, so it might not be phone specific. Another strange thing is that you hear my voicemail greeting, then hear a high pitched beep, then a lower pitched beep. It used to just be one beep. Anyone see this before?

Yes its because GV transfers to voice mail so fast people don't realize its recording so they are quiet waiting to hear "hello" or "beep"

Call Waiting Issue

While on the phone with someone, if someone else calls, the current call goes completely mute.my girlfriend can't hear them and they can't hear her. Is there anyway I can fix this?
I have a Nexus One and I don't experience this issue.
This happened to me today! Ended up having to hang up on them and callin um back. Wonder what were doing wrong?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but this sounds like normal call waiting behavior to me. If you want the current and incoming call to be able to hear each other you need to conference the calls, not use call waiting...
I'm having the same problem on my TP2.
What happens is this... You are on a call with 1 person... Another person calls, call waiting shows that another person is calling, BUT the problem is that my phone gets muted. You CAN hear the person you are on the line with, but they CAN NOT hear you, and turning your mute on and off does not help. Also, even if u take the other call... That person also can not hear you.
This is a big problem because you must end the call and call back the person u were on the line with... also, if the other person keeps calling... it turns into a real mess...
Any ideas?

[Q] Is there any way to have the phone notify me when another call comes in?

If I'm on a call, the Epic doesn't alert me if I have another incoming call. Out of sheer luck, if I happen to have the phone away from my face, I can see another call coming in. However, I don't have any audible notification or vibration. Is there any setting to change this?
Also, say for example you're calling someone. You get their voicemail and start leaving them a message. They immediately call you back. You switch to their incoming call. After you're on the new incoming call and if you try to hang up on the voicemail that's on hold, the entire call is terminated. Anyone else getting this error?
Is your phone normally on silent? It should give you an audible beep.
Nope, not on silent. However, I am running Froyo with the DK28 modem. Perhaps that's the culprit?
I'm on 2.2 also and I don't have that issue. Maybe reflash?

Call Quality Issue

Anyone else here having hissing/crackling in the background on calls with people?
I have checked settings, I'm not roaming, and the phone is stock out of the box.
With the speaker up to highest and 2nd highest setting I can hear hissing and crackling on several calls. People on the other end say they can hear themselves echoing as well.
If you are unrooted or on a stock rom I suggest trying out what this thread says in the first post.

Incredible no sound when incoming call!!! Help...

For some reason, i have an HTC Incredible in here that wont sound when theres an incoming call. Settings are just fine, and its not a damaged speaker. Maybe a driver or something because it sounds when i turn on the phone and the splash screen appears. Have someone find this issue before? By the way its running stock gingerbread, not rooted or else.
So,
a) Do you receive a phone call and there's no ringtone?
or
b) Do you receive a phone call and there's no audio on the other end? As in, you can't hear the other person talking.
Just to be clear, can you play and hear music/audio while your phone is on say from the music app or notification?

What's wrong with the call volume???

So everything about the watch is beautiful except for one annoying fact. Whenever I place a call or receive a call, the sound of the other person is so low, that I can hardly hear them. I have the volume on my phone on high for phone calls and music plays loud on my watch, so what is the deal?
Has anyone else experienced this?? Should I go immediately to the store and get a replacement ASAP? or is this a bug that is common with the update or fixable?
Help a girl out, please!:fingers-crossed:
Have you tried adjusting the volume during a phone call on your phone? I think you have to have an active call to be able to adjust the bluetooth volume.
