In previous iterations of WM one was able to dial a number using the alpha/numeric pad on the phone, ie: mom is 666. I cannot do this any more. Any suggestions?
Agreed, its a stupid omission.

my gf has two entries in my phone book; her name, and also ICE (in case of emergency). but whenever I get a call it comes up as ice,. is there a way to control this behaviour?

Go to your gf's contact with both numbers displayed, press and hold the one you want as the default number. When the option menu comes up select 'set as primary number' option.
That should work.

I had this too - does her the first letter of her name start after "I"? You might be able to change her name to "A"+ her name ???

No, her name begins with A already! For some reason ICE always wins.

weird! Is ICE all in caps? Try changing it to lower case???
While talking to the phone if I receive an incoming call the screen will show me who's calling and provide options for answering (put on hold current call) or decline to answer.
Thing is that whatever I choose the phone will stuck for a moment and won't be able to answer the incoming call nor continue to talk to the current one. Anyone else experiencing the same.
I hope froyo fixes this.

This is a feature phones been missing since my Palm Treo days. That was the last phone I've ever had with a flash button and option to end just one line on a conference call. If you find a way please share lol

No idea but would be a nice feature. Hey is your caps lock key broken and stuck in the on position?

This would be a nice feature to have. I find myself in frequent conference calls for both business and talking with friends.
Caps lock....lol

Just got my ATT M8, and noticed, when I missed a text or call, there wasn't a tiny little number over the apps.
Wasn't that a feature on previous Sense phones ? I know the Galaxy phones do that, just curious. Thanks

The only thing Ive seen give a number count is the built in HTC email app. Nothing else.
I have an app that requires me to enter a number from a numeric keypad. I need to enter a number with a decimal point but the keypad it gives me just has numbers and no decimal point. Is there any way to change the keypad?
My previous phone, an HTC One X, has the same version of the same app, but it gives me a full keyboard.
Thanks!

I saw that on a friend's mobile banking app, also on the m8. I changed it to the Google keyboard as a work around - no issues since.

Great, that worked, thanks.
