I have a G2 right now and I'm about to switch to a DZ so I can use att 3g. My question is, how can I transfer my Angry Birds progress over to my new phone? Its gotta be saved somewhere right? I looked through my files on astro and didnt see anything but I may just be overlooking it. Anyone know?
Thanks
I just used the app from the market called AngryBirds Backup by YONGSIN. Worked perfectly. Just make sure you complete the first level before you restore.
Titanium Backup
I can send you my Angry Birds progress that has everything unlocked
from this (h t t p://androidforums.com/android-games/220424-angry-birds-backup.html) thread:
Actually if you just copy the highscores.lua file which can be found under /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds/files you can copy that to any other device with Angry Birds installed. I did this successfully from DINC to my Galaxy Tab, you will need root explorer to do this so you will need to be rooted on both devices.

and
If you're not rooted, you may still be able to boot the phone into recovery mode and use adb to find that file.

I haven't noticed anyone else mention it here, but I just opened up the Samsung Apps and noticed that Asphalt 5 from Gameloft is available...
Been there for awhile for me.
The new version kinda sucks, it always displays a video before the app actually starts. Can I somehow skip that instead of fast-forwarding the video?

Use Astro File Manager (Free, No Root Required)
In Astro File Manager, Setting->Tools->Application Manager/Backup
It will backup your selected installed app as .apk file in Backups/Apps folder

Ok.... I made a few backups via nandroid using cwm. When I checking CWM I noticed that I had 4 backups.
1 of the backups was when I was using Bonsai 3, and has a program I want. It is not in the market anymore.
When I restored that backup I went back to Bonsai 3.
If I install the backup I made last night I get Bonsai 4, but I lose the program.
Also if I connect my phone to my laptop under Bonsai backup I only have 1 file which is 1kb so where are these backup files?
Thanks for the help! The newbies like me appreciate it.

I think there is a way. Someone else had a similiar problem and wanted to get their text message data out. It is in the thread below where 00dwan talks about unyaffs and data files. Seems a bit complicated but if the app is that important here you go. What is the name of the app? Maybe someone still has it and can upload it to you.

Hope this helps.
Also you can restore the Bonsai 3 backup with the app and then using Android Mate or any of a dozen backup programs, backup the app, or send it to the SD card, and then resinstall it after putting Bonsai 4 on.

Its actually wallpaper (yeah I know its stupid). I got it off the market it was called Nba wallpaper by nametz. It is not in the market anymore. I could not figure out how to move the file. I can press on hold on my home screen then click on wallpaper. I then can install from the gallery, wallpaper, or this file which is ... somewhere.
I tried titanium backup in the past which I thought was simple since it was set to back up everything once a week. However when I needed to install the data and files again I could not. So If you could recommend a simple program that is idiot proof I would appreciate it.

So it was actually an application that you downloaded from the market? With the app on your phone, get android mate from the market. Open it, look for the NBA Wallpaper app, then long press on it. An option will come up to back up. Do that and you will be able to restore it on Bonsai 4. If it is just a wallpaper it should be a jpg somewhere. Root explorer may help you find it. If you can see it in the Gallery then you can long press on it there and get the details of it, share it by sending it to yourself or other options.
Ok I did what you said, and dl android mate. However the file is not listed. Its not under applications. It is not listed under downloads, but it is set at my current wallpaper

Buuuuttttt the links are not working. It says it was an app which must install the wallpapers when you run it, therefore the app should be on your phone. Is it listed in applications?

OK, so back it up (apk+data) and restore it after updating the ROM. If it is an apk file you will also need to click on it to put it back in your wallpaper choices.

However I have no idea where its stored.
Also I see I can backup to sd card, however if I try this but after 15 minutes it just hung and did nothing.

Just back it up with titanium and when you update and run titanium later you can restore it. Titanium backs it up on the sd card.

Is it one wallpaper you are trying to save or the whole app? When I went from 3 to 4 it restored my MARVEL wallpaper.

I've noticed that Titanium Backup doesn't backup the data for this game. Anyone knows why? Where's it stored at?
Thanks in advance!
found 2 possible locations
root/data/app/com.disney.wmw.apk << about 23mb
root/data/data/com.disney.wmw/ << about 4mb.. i think this is the one

Thanks, I'll take a look. It's weird that TB doesn't do anything about the game data, though.
Use root explorer and back it up yourself if that's the case; it will be in /data/data/<package-name>

I guess you're right. I played a bit today and there is a file in this folder with today's date in this folder.
Ah yes, it's data is on the sd, you'll find a file called water.db in the path mentioned above, luckily this means that you shouldn't lose it if you flash your phone.

Wish I had known this before I clean installed a new rom. I assumed titanium would have backed it up. Guess I gotta start again.
Hi
I have completed the WMW 1.7 (3 stars etc.) and now I am going to root my phone. The problem is that I don't have access to the save file as from the last update it is accessible only for root users. Does anyone know how I could backup the game progress so I won't loose it while rooting?
(My phone is HTC Desire S).
Thanks in advance.
Can anyone tell me if there is a file in angrybirds (there must be) that is the save file, so i can save it prior to flashing roms n then replace it over the original, so can be back where you were?
thanks
Titanium backup should save everything but I'm not 100% sure so let's Wait for someone else to confirm it

Yes titanium backup should be your best friend when backing up apps and or save files.

I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus; I plan to unlock and root it, and try out some ROMs. Since I've had the phone for a while, though, I wanted to back up all my save data from games, and whatnot, so I used the root method that doesn't require unlocking, and I used Titanium Backup to back up all the apps I wanted it to.
I want to copy this back up folder to my computer, so when the phone gets wiped during the unlocking process, I can just transfer it back and restore everything once I'm back up and running. The thing is, when I connect my phone to the computer, the Titanium Backup folder does not show. I can see it on the phone itself, via a file manager, but I can't see it on my computer. So, how do I copy the folder to my computer?
could always 'adb pull' it.
At the risk of sounding stupid, I don't quite understand how to use adb commands. I tend to wait for one-click methods for this kind of thing.
A quick fix, titanium has drop box sync. Just send your entire titanium to drop box over wifi.
Then after you flash, it will pull down your backup over wifi. Its built in to titanium backup.

Eh... I suppose, but I think the entire backup is almost two gigs (unless I read it wrong), and my home Internet is kinda slow (and has been unusually even slower the last day or so), so that would take me forever.
If you restart your phone you will see the Titanium Backup folder on your pc. I have noticed that the Galaxy Nexus only refreshes the MediaStore on boot.

Not rooting, but unlocking the bootloader specifically, which is generally required to root the device.
