I've been playing crash bandicoot and some games that i ported with psxperia, but none of them are working with the touch pads.
I changed my button scheme to bind analog to the touch pads,i enabled it in the menu and when I converted games I ticked analog mode...but it's still not working
which games did you convert? games like FF7 may not have working Touchpads
Yeh it's not working for me either. I ported Gran Turismo 1 & 2, Crash 2 & 3, Metal Gear Solid 1, Dino Crisis, Tekken 3, MediEvil...

Twisted Metal 4 and Fifa 2004
Did you enable analog support before you converted it? (its a little tick box)
Also did you enable in in the controls option of the emulator.
You need to do both those things to get it to work.

Try rexonvrrting with another crash apk? I suggest you look at psxperia faq
I used the XDA App to post this, what did you use?
Are you using a custom ROM?

My bad I just skimmed over the title and wrote the reply very quick
So do the touch pads work fine for other stuff? The only reason I can think why it wouldnt work if you did all the steps right is because either the games you picked dont support analog or because you have an odd version of the emulator (there are lots of different versions.
Hang on, has anyone in this thread been able to get the touchpads working for PS1 games?
I got them to work with ape escape only.
Need for speeds, ridge racers and a few others simply didn't work for me.
Can we get a list of games going that the Analog sticks work in?

It worked for me. I even made a tutorial of how to do it for people who found it a bit confusing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaZuKZQoBwA
i know how to convert them, i'm aware of that, but what Im saying is that the analog sticks don't work. i have the analog mode set to true and the controller options set to 5, but still nothing. And aswell, in crash 3, does anyone else have a massive square around crash for a shadow?
If you are using a custom ROM (esp. CM7 26) there is a chance for it not to work

I'm not using a custom rom and i know fifa and twisted metal support analog...its working in other non-ps1 games so I guess its a bug,or it's a different version

Hi,
on my Eee Pad Transformer it's possible to connect the PS3 Controller with the Tablet to use it as a game controller. Is that possible on the One X, too? Via bluetooth or something?
Thanks,

Yes, app on market called sixaxis controller will let you do it, your phone needs to be rooted though.

Has anyone had the chance to see if N.O.V.A. 3 has native controller support? I bought it last night but I won't have a chance to try until later this evening.
I looked at some info and seen nothing about custom controls. I am in the process of purchasing it, but if it is like any other Gameloft game there will be no custom controls. I am really on Gamelofts case right now about this as well as their games would be the bomb on the big screen using the Wiimote or sixaxis.
BTW with the ICS builds Wiimote works flawlessly.

i have nova 3 installed and sixaxis too but when i start the game with the sixaxis open it simply FC and freezes the screen.
I just basically took a screenshot of the controls and added the buttons manually in the touch emulation.
Sixaxis now works just fine with nova 3 for me
I'm currently running the latest version of (The Goodness) Rom by Mijj

OK well I went back to the profile I had and I put left button over the weapon switch and assigned it as swipe left. And I chose the right button for over the grenade switch and assigned it as swipe right. I haven't been able to assigned one to switch powers yet as the one I assigned to use powers covers the space lol

No mate just asign one button I tried 2 and it didn't work so asign a button for switching weapons ie left then double tab it and go to button properties then u can choose swipe left or right and then just do the same for the grenade switching. Button use a different button ie right button then do same again double tab and button properties. Hope this helps. I'm totally new to sixaxis so still trying to figure it out myself lol

hey guys, so my Xperia play is a R800a, unlocked bootloader, rooted, on FXP CM9.1, and just revently have the d-pad buttons stopped working, but only on n64oid emulator. i tried flashing a different rom, tried factory reseting, clearing all caches etc. i did flash the "Circle button fix" prior also. but even then it still worked. just one day out of no where they did not work. i tried remapping the keys to the d pad, it shows up registered as dpad up down left right etc, but when i play the game they do not work.
any idea why? please help me, as i cant get my daily dose of Super Smash Bros. any help will be greatly appreciated.:
for the record every other Emulator works, SNES,NES,GBA etc. And NFS Most Wanted works great also, just n64oid not working.

I've had my D-pad working with N64oid on ICS ROMs before. First thing I'd do is make sure you're mapping the pad controls correctly.

I 'think' I know what you're doing wrong. With the information given, it sounds like you mapped the N64's D-PAD to the Xperia Plays D-PAD.
Instead map the N64's JOY STICK / ANALOG STICK to the Xperia Plays D-PAD.

Wow makes total sense. The n64 controller also has a dpad and I was mapping the native keypad to it, and NOT the analog stick. God you helped me out so much! I'd freaking give you a big ole hug. THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

With the new XBOX One Slim Controller being bluetooth, do you think it will work on the Shield?
No One will know until it comes out could have proprietary aspects to it like the ds4 controller.

It doesn't really work with the shield yet, even with the Xbox driver kernel. It's detected, and will pair, but a lot of the buttons are mismapped, and I haven't found a way around that yet.
Some games on Windows actually have the same problem as well.

after firmware update it works but you have to pair every time you start the controller on android.
and the button layout is different than the Xbox 360.
someone need to make an app to fix those small issues.
on my PC side everything works after the Bluetooth stack and driver update for the anniversary from broadcom.
my PC use a all in one Bluetooth and wifi chip from them.

The shield just doesn't map the controller to the Xbox 360 layout correctly. if you have an app where you can bind inputs, like an emulator, all the inputs are active...and you can bind them all manually and it's usable. But if your game does not have that, or is expecting xinput commands, the buttons are wrong, the bumpers seem to be Y, triggers don't seem to do anything etc.

This is disappointing. Surely there will be an update that fixes this :'(
If your controller is updated and you have root, you could try to use a new keymap for the controller.
My keymap: http://www14.zippyshare.com/v/anLAfS7e/file.html
Download that file and copy it to
Code:
/system/usr/keylayout/
Then set the permissions to 644.
This should work.

worked for me , thanks for sharing.
For those it didn't work this is what I did , downloaded file on Shield TV *rooted btw* copied to /system/usr/keylayout/ , unpaired controller , restarted shield tv, repaired and now as far as I can tell all the buttons are working as they are supposed to.
Only issues so far is still seems like apps still dont like the controller even if properly mapped. Emulators for the most part work with every button.

The key layout works perfectly, thanks a ton.
Im having the issue where the controller will not "find" my Shield tablet or my nexus phone after being disconnected. I have to repair it every single damn time, and the pairing process is a massive pain in the ass that fails most of the time. I have updated the firmware and it just seems like the controller blinks endlessly.
I can confirm the Layout works without any issues on my rooted Samsung S7. Good job! Thank you very much.
There is a new firmware update for the controller that works perfect on my shield tv. No patch needed.
Can someone post a link to what exact model this is?

it is no more needed now, microsoft fixed this problem by releasing a firmware update on the controller.
you can update your Xbox one S controller by plugging it to your Xbox one or by using the Xbox accessories app on the windows store.
