3000mAh battery for our vibrants for around $22
Found this a few days ago, ordered one, and am completely happy with it. Battery life is excellent and the extended door fits well. The bump takes a bit to get used to.
Just to be clear I am not selling these and have no affiliation with the seller. Just putting it out there

Yep - tested and works great. I used to get 8 hours of heavy use from the stock battery - now I am getting about 15 hrs of heavy use. Only 1 charge a day works for me.

How about this 3500 one?
Also, how much thicker does it make the phone?

I haven't found any cases yet for the extended battery.
PS. These cases are for the i9000....and the camera position is the same at the vibrants/
what about the speakers?
So neither the camera nor the speakers are covered up by these extended batteries and cases?

The 3500mAh looks to be built into the back cover. A little weird. The 3000 mAh works great. I just ordered 2 more from the link above for 7.99. I paid 22 for my first one because I don't like to wait, but the ones I just ordered look like they are the same. They should work fine

Hi for the people are using the extended battery, do you people recondition/wipe battery stats after flashing new rom? Just wonder cuz I got myself one but it doesn't seem to last long. I did as instructed when first received let it die then charge then die then charge for 4 times. Thanks

STOP THAT! You are doing harm to your battery by "reconditioning", fully discharging this type of battery is one of the wort things you can do to them. Four times? No wonder it doesn't last long, you probably did permanent damage already.
Try to never let your battery drop below 30%, li-ion batteries suffer if you do. When you flash a new ROM just make sure the battery is at 100% when you flash it, and if you want wipe the battery stats to calibrate the phone, thats it.

How much thicker do these cases make my vibrant?
And I'm guessing my body cover (its like a glove) on the vibrant wont work with these big cases now?

As long as you can avoid it. It's a shame that so many people keep spreading that bad information in guides and such. Deep cycling batteries only worked for old technology that would hold a memory. Li-Ion batteries are at their happiest at about 85% charge.

So im in the market for a new battery. A higher capacity one but slimline. I do not want a different size battery door. Anybody know of any good ones for a decent price?
Great question. I'm wondering the same thing.
I bought this one. I had to wait a month for it since is came from Hong Kong. I can get ~16 hours running the screen at 80% brightness, texting alot, 3g radio always on, constantly checking email. No complaints other than the time it took to ship.

I'm pleasantly surprised, I notice a definite difference in battery life and the wall charger is a bonus. For the price it's hard to beat and delivery was within a week.

Personally I have found these batteries no better than the stock htc red. With juice defender I get fair batt life with either...10-16 hours or so. I do find the wall charger useful as the battery never gets fully charged when charging in the phone.
There are no slim batteries that are better than stock, the only thing to increase your battery is to add a few millimeters oh my god, to your phone and get a 3500 you won't be disappointed, and yes like someone already said, use the search button next time this must be my like 6th time answering this question muskeg let alone if someone else did too, which I feel has happened too

This cool little thing called a volt meter. We have them in the 21st century, definitely should check it out.
okay so iv used many extended batteries in my EVO time. i love em all but i cant stand the bulky cases i have to use. whats the best extended battery that i can use my stock back cover?
Probably the Seidio Slim Extended. It has I believe 1750maH and does not require you to use a different cover.
I've been using the Anker 1700ma and am really impressed. Big improvement for the $12.
I would say deffinatly the Seidio they will cost you a bit more then others, but they are built with higher standards and better quality "customer service" and it just makes it it a much better deal in the end.
I hope I helped if I did please hit the thanks button

For a few bucks more you can get 2 batteries and a charger on Amazon. Sorry, can't post the link.
Also, from what I've read, the seller on Amazon has crazy good customer service, they reply to many negative reviews to see what they can do to help.

The link you posted is not for a 'slim' extended battery. It requires a larger back battery cover.
The Anker 1700 seems to be the best slim extended battery, even with tests(Cant remember which thread but its in this section). ID say grab one of the 2 pack deals with wall battery charger, which also charges ANY phone battery, no matter the size as the positive and negative pins can be moved where ever, and the height of it can be adjusted to hold it.

I found this thread where G1_enthusiast reviewed Anker and Seidio batteries for S3, but I also found the 4600mAh battery from Mugen Power earlier than these, and ordered it.
All I head is that cheap batteries are made out of almost expired materials and work for like 200 charge cycles, which explains their price. The expensive ones like Mugen or Seidio work for 400-500 charges, which is better, but would be awesome if some one could review the 4600mAh one. I will post my results later when I receive it, but I don't have experience in doing such tests.

reason why they are not popular is the price tag, i used to think their company is out of japan but in fact they are base out of hong kong (people tend to think china stufff are ****ty). so what make their battery better than anker or hyperion? having say that, i have own their battery before (G2 and SGS2) and they do make battery longer than stock. however i was not into crazy testing at the time. i will not pay 100 bucks for battery again, as long as anker is in bussiness.
seido is the only battery company that is base in texas...thats not to say their factory isnt in china either. they also make quality battery in the past

Well, as I head many times and experienced myself on older phones (I have a 3900mAh from Mugen for Nexus S that works for 1.5 years already) - industry standards cannot produce a good quality battery and sell it for 10$. Those batteries are usually made out of expired materials. The issue here is not just the capacity but the battery life cycle. Cheap batteries have confirmed to last for 100-200 charges, however batteries from Seidio or Mugen last for 400-600 charges, not to say about warranty and safety + NFC support.
Also, for me personally customer support and brand presence is more important than being cheap. If I can afford a phone that costs 800$, I surely can get a good quality battery for a 100$. I will get the battery soon, btw, and will let you know.
I also posted this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30770441&postcount=85
I wonder if the Mugen battery will work with the extended cases that are being offered. I got one from Hyperion that I like. Judging by pictures it looks like the Mugen extended door may be a little bigger or designed different.
If the Mugen would fit with the other extended doors and TPU cases I would buy it. I've had great luck with them,

If a cheap extended battery lasts for 200 charges and I charge it every 2 days, it's still going to last over a year. I expect to have a new phone by this time next year if not sooner. So what's the big deal?

That is why you go for tested name brand but not super expensive. a mugen costs more than 5 times what a hyperion, qcell, etc. costs. but it is very unlikely they will last 5 times as many charges. there is nothing like a fresh battery!
Well, they're always out of stock...I guess they never back back-logs. Anyways, I've received my S3 battery and now I need to calibrate the phone according to their instruction. They say that it's necessary to charge 4-5 times for 8-12 hours before the phone recognizes the new capacity. Does anyone know why?

This is not the official one, it's Chinese. But in a emergency the extra battery does the trick. The phone won't fit with the case, you have to take it off.

It looks like a knock off of the Hyperion setup. I would venture to guess the battery is over-rated. Side note, the NFC, while looks legit, doesn't work.
Just ordered it. Will let you guys know how it turns out once I get it (probably in 2wks).
I have one I ordered from eBay that looks identical and doesn't even last as long as my stock battery. Better off getting a brand name when it comes to batteries in my experience.

But in general it's kind of sucks because I have a collection of so many "standard" cases, and can't use them with extended battery. I wish there would be an extended battery, perhaps 4000 mAh or 4200 mAh that has the same or close physical dimensions and would fit with OEM battery cover and standard case. Anybody has any suggestions?
Hi All,
I am unable to find "Samsung 2000 mAh original battery with back cover"i.e.EB-K1A2EBEGSTD in India. Any attempts to search the product online leads me to links which are dead or have the product as out of stock. There was just one link which was selling it but it was from UK and the overall expense was 42 pounds which is more than 3k in INR. I do not think the original product costs that much.
Tried to search on XDA with no success.
Any information on shops/dealers/online links would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I am even fine with Anker batteries if I do not find EB-K1A2EBEGSTD, but not finding anything.

I have read here on xda that usually its not of 3500mah, it's much lesser. To top that, it makes the phone quite bulky. So the optimum limit I found was 2000mah with extended back panel which doesn't screw up s2's looks

I was looking for EB-K1A2EBEGSTD and you are mentioning a different model number.
Also, the international delivery will cost me 1/3rd of the overall expense, which I wanted to avoid.
Thanks for your response anyways.
nice
Found a link on ebay.

This one costs 4150 INR approx which is way above my range for a battery. I am still looking for the best deal but posting this link for the people who are looking for one.
Had to settle with a chinese 3500 mah battery. it has made my s2 lose its sex appeal.
few hours and its running fine. hope it actually is 3500 mah and it doesnt explode.

As it is Chinese battery I don't expect it to be real 3500 mah, but even if it's turned out to be 2500+, I will be really happy. After a full discharge and full charge I m using it first time. 15 hours and I am at 83% with not much of use, I guess almost an hr screen time.
Will report a proper usage after few days and few charge cycles.
Hi buddy from where for you get the Chinese battery?
Any links?

This is where i bought it from. Unfortunately for me the prices have been dropped for this
using this Chinese battery for around six months, over time the battery backup becomes low, but still phone would work for all day on a full charge, I also got it from some ebay seller for 900 rs
