I was wondering if there's a way to get rid of the notification/message preview that shows up at the bottom of the lockscreen. I don't mind the LED flashing or the titlebar notifications, just the one on the bottom of the lockscreen.
You can remove that by disabling notifications in messaging. This will get rid of that but that will keep you unaware of when you get a text. I use an app called SMSPopup that I like much better than standard notifications.
Or flash an aosp lockscreen

I noticed some old posts on this, but not much said. Wondering if anyone has or can create a clear notification bar. I usually hide it, but sometimes like to have the notification icons shown. I'd like to have my wallpaper show thru. Just curious more than anything. Using MikFroyo 4.4 by the way.
Hey I am currently a huge fan of handcent and was wondering if there is a way to get the stock messaging notification icon to go through handcent... I got it kind of where the notification opens handcent instead of the stock messaging app but it still counts my messages unread... any ideas?

Are you saying the stock notification message still pops up in the status bar? And youre looking to get rid of that?
Handcent has its own notification in the status bar that shows missed texts, is that what you want?
I like the gingerbread notifications uniform look, and like the stock message notification icon. I would like that icon to show, but for handcent to have that stock icon instead of its built in icons.
hm i'm not sure if thats possible or how you would go about doing that.
you could use the LP notifications for everything that way all of them are uniform.
There is a couple of things that I will always have in my notification window (Blocking on Touchwiz and Clock on Touchwiz) I know many roms have the ability to hide certain notifications I was wondering if there was an easy way to remove them, like a third party app that lets you white list or black list certain notifications.

What are you trying to remove? If its an "ongoing" notification the only way to remove it is by hacking the apk and telling it not to put the notif there.
I'm running a rooted stock build of MG2 (4.1.2) on a Boost Mobile S3. For whatever reason, while stock has many nice notification shade toggles, turning on the camera flash as an on-demand light isn't one of them.
I've read that a future update is expected to bring customizable toggles, but who knows if/when that will happen, if ever.
How can I add a widget, such as TeslaLED, to the notification pull-down? What app would accomplish this? For whatever reason, I prefer to have it in my notification pull-down instead of my home screen. (Why TeslaLED, and not the built-in 'Assistive light' widget? Because TeslalED is a 1x1 widget, and Samsung's is a 2x1, and TeslaLED also has other options, such as timed, strobe, and morse code.)

Can someone plz show me how to get rid of these hideous ass icons on my notification bar...i mean look at it...its effin horrible. I dont have root yet but i was hoping i culd get rid of the iconz w/o root. This is ridiculous.

Need to wait for root bro. The main reason I root is to take off all the bloat and those icons. I hide the AM/PM, bluetooth, NFC, alarm, blocking mode I don't care because mine is set for overnight only.
You can toggle the status bar with some third party launchers when you are on the home screen. It will come back though when you are using an app.
