how do i know if i bricked my phone? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I was trying to flash the new version of EnergyROM and when i ran a task29 i accidently left my SIM card and SD card in. I loaded it to the bootloader screen and it was saying USB on the phone but my computer wasnt recognizing it so i went and bought a card reader and tried flashing from the SD card and now its stuck on a black screen with the red light in the corner always on. the phone wont turn on and the light only comes on when its plugged in. please please help me i just bought this phone 2-3 weeks ago and didnt get insurance.

Generally, if it is bricked, it won't turn on or just constantly reboot. You can access bootloader mode by hitting the down volume key while holding the soft reset button.

that what it seems to be doing, ive run task 29 twice and tried to reinstall the ROM that worked earlier today and it just loads up to the BRGD ATT world phone screen and acts like it wants to boot up and then just goes back to the black screen any ideas on why?

Please Help Me

So after an unsuccessful ROM flash my phone was stuck at bootloader for quite sometime...i had a micro SD card reader and inserted it into multiple computers running XP, vista and ubuntu...they all registered that i had plugged something in but wouldn't show it as a disk drive...now i've already figured out how to access it but i put a new ROM image on it and tried to reflash but after the flash when my phone booted up it simply switched itself off... when i switched it back on it went back to the bootloader and tried to reflash the ROM. mid flash it just switches itself off... I realize that this is probably due to the charge level of the phone so i plugged it it but it will be off and charging then it will suddenly decide its got enough battery power and boot up to the bootloader screen until it dies again...how do i stop this vicious loop

Something worth trying:
1.You could take out the battery for one minute or longer.
2.Now put the ROM's .nbh on your SD card [Make sure it is named "RHODIMG.nbh" (no quotes)].
3.Put the SD card and battery in and press/hold Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time.
4.That'll put you in Bootloader Mode, and it should ask you if you want to update your phone's image (something like that).
5.Follow the prompts and it should start flashing (you'll see the bar).
6.Soft reset after the flash says it's complete.
I once went through that and this is what I did. I was able to unbrick my phone.
However, (back in September/October) there was another instance of the same thing happening to someone, but he never got it fixed; he did get the stock ROM and SPL back on it, but had to return it to HTC because it still kept cycling into Bootloader.
Good luck!

Recharge the battery using any External Charger (called universal charger)
Then, put battery back into your kaiser. Keep Camera Button pressed and insert USB Cable (remember you must have sim card and SD card removed). Then Disable USB in activesync and flash with default HTC rom
I was able to install the stock rom.
The phone only load up on one occasion with the following things are met:
sd card removed
connected to computer or charger
and hold onto reset button for 3 seconds
It won't load in any other way.
THe next thing I did was to install an android kernel.
I was able to get into linux with the above items are met.
In the linux screen, I try install the SD card in while it was "waiting for a SD card" <- not sure if I should be even doing this, the phone will immediately shut off.
Could this mean my SD card became faulty? Window is still able to read it via a card reader.
Any help would be appreciated.

Help! I think I have bricked my phone

HI All
I dropped my phone earlier today, but it did turn on, but really slowly and when it turned the screen off it stayed off unless I reset it.
So I thought to reset it. forgetting that the RHODIMG was on the SD card. and fogeting the hard reset variation, so I let the image (cookie energy) run. it completed perfectly fine. but then after a reboot it just sat on the vodaphone splash screen.
So I ran the image again and this time it got upto the starting windows for first time, but for some reason it turned off. and since then it just turns itself on runs boot loader and turns off.
It only does this when plugged in. I can't stop it turning on if the power is plugged in. and I can't turn it on if the power is not plugged in.
Included are a photo of the Bootloader screen from a previous update last year(working) and then a short avi and jpg of the current bootloader.
Cheers
It looks like the bootloader isn't seeing the ROM anymore, try flashing another rom. If your SD Card isn't empty try formatting it (Backup your files) and try flashing it with only the RHODIMG on it. Good Luck

Help - blank screen and cannot access boot menu

A friend has asked me to look at his Wildfire, he said it was updating the Market and then blank screened. Since then it will not turn on, vibrates, then nothing.
I suspected screen (replaced a few wildfire ones now) but no sign of life from touch buttons, volume key, etc - so suspect it is bricked.
Tried to flash it with RUU but the phone will not go into the boot menu via volume down & power on. I've tried numerous times and it went into boot menu once, but you could not select anything, no keys working.
Hooked up to laptop and laptop could see it, but when you try to run the RUU you get Error 170, probably becaused it's not actualy in USB Boot mode.
Has anyone seen this? Any other tricks to get it into boot menu? Anything I can run from laptop or SD card to force it into a recovery or boot menu?
This is a stock ROM phone, not modified at all.
Any help much appreciated*
I have a way but I cant remember it lol
If I can remember when I get home, i'll re-post.
OK, cool
Made slight progress today, even though I had the boot menu come up once yesterday, but no response from keys, I did notice that even though I was trying to access boot menu, it was actually acting like it was in the menu, just blank screen, i.e. if I held power button afterwards I got no vibration, but if I did pull battery and hold power, I did, as if it was booting up.
I wonder if in actual fact the screen is dead, but also there is a software hang up, as if display was dead, you would still be able to swipe the screen, get touch keys to light up when pressed, etc.
Anyway, so I went into boot mode, blank screen, pressed power anyway which would be FASTBOOT - right?
Hooked up to PC, ran an RUU and it connected OK, went through process but failed on ID, because the phone has a T-Mobile ROM and I was trying to flash with non-branded one.
So I either need to find a T-MOB UK RUU, I found one but it wouldn't run, or I need to create a goldcard (can I do that with a semi bricked device?) and go down that route.
Either way, I'm pretty sure the LCD is dead, so for the sake of £7.50 I'll replace that first, even if it has got further issues, having a working LCD will help!!
yeah get the screen fixed first.
you will only have to fix the screen later and the hassle of trying to fix a phone with broken screen, to have to have it fixed later anyway isnt really the most logical way of doing things

[Q] N7105 turned off for no reason & wont turn on

Hey all,
Having a problem with my N7105 (international), in that it suddenly turned off for no reason at all and will not turn on at all. No red led, not sound, no display light or anything. Simply off and wont turn on.
I was web browsing and playing a game (stunt star) 20 mins prior to placing it into my pocket and walked outside to do something. Wanted to check the weather when I noticed that the phone was off.
Tried turning it back on with no success. Even tried download/recovery mode and still wouldn't turn on.
Tried placing it on charge for 15mins (no red led came on or battery display indicator) and turning it back on, no success. Tried a spare battery I had and that didn't work either.
Even tried a usb jig I had lying around and that had no effect.
The phone had been running on 4.1.2 ZHDMB1 (hashcheck hybrid v2.2 with Perseus Kernel 33alpha, so I can't see why it would be the SDS problem) with philz touch 5.06.1 CWM.
I had checked if it had the emmc bug issue with that emmc checker on the play store, and my device came up clean with no detectable problem.
I did notice triangleaway popping up tiny messages stating that it had been granted shell interactive access (something like that) during the game I was playing, but i figure that was related to it requesting root access from SuperSU; which it had done numerous times before with no issues
I did do a nandroid backup a few weeks ago so I do have most of the stuff backed up on the micro SD card, but there are a few files that remained on the phone that I would like to recover.
Even if the phone isn't recoverable, is there anyway for me to access that information with the phone still off?
Not sure why this is happening, but any advice/suggestion on how to resolve this would be much appreciated.
I would suggest you to remove SD card first and then try to boot it up without it.
If it's won't boot up even without SD card, and can't go into download or recovery mode, it's means that you have SDS issue.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Tried it without the micro sd card, still won't boot up or go into recovery/download mode.
From what I've read (briefly), most SDS cases involve the phone still emitting a red led when connected to the charger (I could be wrong).
Whereas my N7105 LED doesn't light up red at all; what's the likelihood that its something to do with the powerboard circuitry instead?
