MIUI! It will ease your transition to Android. Not to mention it is one of the smoothest and fastest ROMs out right now.
Myn's Warm 2.2 for a great themed Sense ROM or CM6.1 if you want close to stock Android. If you want a Sense ROM with very few changes from stock, Fresh 3.4 is an excellent choice.

Just new to rooting myself. I purchased my Evo back in November, but it took me until now to root my phone. I actually researched these and other forums since July before purchasing my phone in November and finally rooting last week. I'm glad to report that all went well. I'm now running myn's Warm TwoPointTwo (RLS5) with Konikub's Aloysius 5 theme that looks awesome. I also have the Unrevoked splash screen and wrx4memp’s Warm 3 Boot Animation on startup. Thanks to the developers of these forums for all they do.

Only answer is try all of them and see what you like..
Right now, using Kings Ultra Unleashed. But used Elite Series I which is also great ROM
Though I only use it to update my PRL, Myn's warm twopointtwo seems nice.

Mikfroyo 4.5 all the way, very quick and a beautiful presentation, especially when using adw ex launcher.
I like Fresh, its not themed, just clean and fast.
Try Calks EViO, MikFroyo, Kings Unleashed (Based off Mik), Myn at the very least. With EViO 1.7.7, I was underclocked to 921 and still hit quadrant scores on par with any other sense ROM running 998 and had amazing battery life.
Been lovin AVA's rom lately.

Fresh was the first ROM i flashed when i rooted... one of the most stable ROM's out.
I currently run mikfroyo. his approach to optimizing is a step above IMHO, plus u can add on whatever you like and in his forum community pages very helpful themers can whip up zips and tips for custom mods or themes for you.

Well if it was custom, you can try deleting it from applications, downloaded, and delete, or you could flash another theme over it.
Reflash the ROM.

Cache and Dalvik, no need for full wipe. As for themes, for myns, not sure.

Since themes replace various system files, you need to reflash your ROM to get rid of it. Wiping data is not necessary, wiping cache and dalvik couldn't hurt.

hey here is a thought next time do a nandroid before applying themes... it would of saved you having to do a thread and reflashing your old rom... Just a suggestion not a dig at you...

That would have been the best thing to do.
I have a nand backup from before I flashed the theme .
Let me get this right . A nand backup is like flashing a Rom just with all my data back ?

Restoring that backup image just takes you back, pretty much to a T, of the ROM you backed up.
So if something goes wrong, or you don't like a new ROM you're checking out, you just get right back to where you were. As for themes, yeah you can do that. Reflashing the ROM essentially wipes the themed elements out, either way you don't need to start from scratch or whatever.

Yeah, total backup image. Creating a backup now before I flash that "warm Z" from Myn. If something goes wrong or I need to get out, I can just restore the backup and all is well. Backups are extremely important, and useful!
I always have a backup just never used it ;-)
if I only knew i wouldn't have to restore everything for hrs every time .

Can somebody lead me to the best Sense 2.1 port?
I want my dad to enjoy the goodness of Sense 2.1. Not 3.0/5 because they can be too slow and memory hogging. Considering its my dads phone he wants it to work. Any help?

I'd have to say...barnacles did the salvage sense 2.1 rom and virus did the gingersense rom. So one of those would be the best bet. Very stable. But no longer being worked on

Best Sense 2.1 MikG. It is a Sense 2.1 + 3.0 hybrid, and it is incredibly stable. Pair it with ChopSuey kernel and you are good to go

all you need is a lovely signature.
I would have to say Myn's Warm 2.2 or Koni Elite. Both were pretty similar, and killer for battery life, I could go 2-3 days on those roms without charging.
Neither of those are sense 2.1...

The 2.2 in warm 2.2 means its froyo 2.2.

I second mikg, its the mose stable one i have tried. the only thing not working is hdmi out but if you flash one of the gingerbread kernels youll get that back.
When I was on my EVO I used mikg also. Very very responsive. Great battery life. I also flashed freedom kernel and overclocked it. Worked great for me.
