2.3.3 JVK 5 Lock Screen Mod

Hi All
I've spent the past week implementing the 5 Lock Screen Mod for Gingerbread. Mainly just to see if I could.
Anyway, I got it working so thought I'd share.
A lot of files are involved so if you're going to try it out please make sure you make a backup first.
This will only work on a deodexed JVK ROM.
Here's the Instructions :-
Download the attached ZIP and extract the contents.
Using ADB enter the following :-
ADB Remount (this makes the system directory Read/Write)
ADB push framework-res.apk /system/framework/
ADB push framework.jar /system/framework/
ADB push android.policy.jar /system/framework/
ADB push Settings.apk /system/app/
ADB push SystemUI.apk /system/app/
Then take a deep breath, cross all fingers and toes then type :-
ADB reboot.
The first boot will take ages so don't panic.
Also included for your delight is the CRT animation the OverScroll Glow and the extended power menu. Plus a surprise!!!
A big thanks for this goes to untermensch over in the Vibrant forum. Without his source code I wouldn't have known where to begin.
Also, thanks to dhiru1602 for his Overscroll Mod. I hope he doesn't mind me using it?
Anyway. That's about it. Hope you like it. No doubt there will be several new Themes with this mod before too long. It would be nice to get some credit, it's taken a lot of hair pulling to get this mod working..
If anyones know how to create a flashable zip it would be great if you could attach it to this thread so that those not familiar with ADB can also enjoy this mod.

Hi.
I used Ramad's Deodexed JVK as a base.
As far as I know it's stock, but as Racerboy said I've modified it.

Hi.
I doubt anyone has tried it on Darky's ROM yet, this mod has only just been released. Having said that, as long as the ROM is JVK based it should work, although you may well lose any features that Darky has added.
I guess the only way to know for sure is to try it!!!

How did you succeed to de-/compile Settings.apk?

FYI: just installed it on Juwe's Smart Edition *v3.2 GINGERBREAD XXJVK* and, for as far I can see, it works flawless...

I didn't have any problem decompiling Settings.apk. I use APKTOOL which worked fine for me. Have you tried that? What error are you getting? I'll try to help if I can...

I used Apk manager though, but it includes apktool so that shouldn't be the problem (hopefully).

[THEME][MOD]ANOTHER Battery/Statusbar Mod 4 Litening ROM 1.0/1.1

Hey guys,
I have been loving the Litening Rom allot and decided to change the Batt/status bar slightly for my own preference. Since doing so, I thought it would be nice to share it even tho its nothing special.

This is for Litening rom only. Here is a link to the Rom by LitePro :

To install this, just unzip the file and replace the following with root explorer:
SystemUI.apk in system/app
and
framework-res.apk in system/framework
Reboot after and you should be done.
There are 2 files here - the 1st one is for version 1.0
and the 2nd one is for version 1.1

No problem, and thanks for the compliment. The provider background is an htc Sense one. I thought that yours would appeal to more people and its good to link to similar mods - give people more options to customize

[THEME MINI] Litening rom v3.0 to v4.2 (Status bar and setting).

First I would like to thank litepro for his amazing rom and team and second to all the designers for the status bar and setting. I will not take any credits for their hard work.
I will though test their work to see if it work for us using litepro rom v3.0+

Galaxy blue => systemui.apk and setting.apk below.
Litening rom green => just rename both files to the same as above and paste into system/apps

Yes, just copy then past to system/app but you need an application to acces root directory

This is just a mini theme version, anything related to litening battery will not work due to different framework.apk file which will affect the rom to cause it to freeze or infinite boot loop.

does this theme work on villainrom 2.3 as well mate ?

I think it should work as well as it does not affect the framework, but i'm not 100% sure as i haven't tested on vr rom. I would advice u to backup first before replacing files, if it work for u, let me know n i'ill update the post title. Cheers!

What is Holo-Series?

Problems
I tried these on my i9000 downloaded from RootzWiki and i had lots of problems with my SD card and Nav bar was permenant. Are these the same ones or have they been modified so they work properly on the galaxy s?

U downloaded the zip from post 3?? Download the apk from post 1 n apply it with theme chooser…

No i havnt tried any from this page, thats why i'm asking before i try them because ive tried the Holo Mega Blue which i downloaded from a different site and i had problems with it. My question is have these been modified to work properly on the SGS i9000 or are they exactly the same file that i downloaded from RootzWiki? because if there the same i'm not going to use them thats why i want to know first

Well they are universal apks and they work on any CM9 based rom that has theme chooser...i have tested them on samsung vibrant and they work perfectly

You must b on system settings...if u have another theme applied, u wud get that error...

That's what everyone seems to say, Ive tried, no luck, only a select few do work (the "other holo green/orange"). Yours worked when i flashed them but they had a few bugs on the sgs. If there is a way to get them working through the theme picker im open to suggestions

Updated all apks to 1.0.2:

Circular Battery mod is default now
Made the status bar text white
A lot of other fixes

Im glad for these themes, and mostly glad to CM9 for real to compare "Theme Choser" I missed this from older CM's.

Theming with VRTheme

Hi, I find a lot of flashable themes that use VR Theme. How do I use VRTheme in an almost stock rom? How do I add VRTheme in a rom?
Is it better to decompile an APK and copy the new images over the original and compile it again to an APK?
Any tips about this are welcome

Found a nice tutorial about changing png's inside an APK. Been playing with that and replaced all the things out of an existing Sense theme into the rom I am using now, and it works
