I just thought I'd take a moment (one previously spent fiddling with my phone) to say well done and thank you to both Tom_Codon and meschle. Which ever flavour of ROM you've decided to put on your device I'm sure you'll agree that it has breathed new life into it.
I for one feel as if I just got a new phone. I haven't soft reset since Friday (which is a shame as I do like my animated splash screens), all my apps are set up, my home screen is just the way I like it....... so what do I do now?
Congratulations guys your efforts are much appreciated and I for one look forward to finding something more constructive to do with my time than hard-resetting my phone (well for a week or two anyway).
Cheers
Matt
I totally agree with you!
It's really amazing what these guys have created.. I don't know what would make my phone better than now. It's nearly perfect, just as I need it as my constant companion.
In this way, thanks mates..
lets be careful though
.....come on guys, I know the likes of Tom and Meschle are fantastic guys - with a lot of skill....but lets not make their heads TOO big....lol
If we big them up too much HTC might hear about them and take them away from us

I think Tom and many other cooks etc are well able to beef up the skills in HTC etc, but would not last long there.
Tom likes to produce new roms every month, but will be told 'that feature you just cooked is fantastic. We can sell that as the the new feature in next years model. We dont release new features unless we can sell them with hardware'

Thanks matt - this is encouraging Lets not forget fracoon - hope you finish your rom soon your beta is very promising
Well, I only know this forum for 2 weeks, but I could say that I am really impressed of the great work done on these ROMs.
I can't imagine the amount of work it is, but for sure the result is amazing
I'd like to put my 2 pennies in as well...
Thanks guys, tom meschle, fracoon and who ever else there is... i've had my xda orbit for a while, had other xda's b4, and work with loads of xda's, but since joining this forum, my xda has hit another level...
the time and effort u guys put in, my hat goes off to u guys... ive bin trying to cook my own rom, but failed miserabley, but i'll keep trying... im sure uguys will help
thanks again guys...
I can see a new MTV show coming soon; Pimp My PPC
Bunch of Cordon Bleu chefs in the kitchen taking some sad old OEM XDA and cooking away until voila! A new pimped-up device handed over to the poor ole charity case that will be able to now proudly be seen once more down the pub with his mates (a position for me I think )
Respect Gents, you make a good product so much better
Thanks to all
I also wish to thank all the people, who make ROMs and which happen to be much better than the original one.
This forum is a knowledge base for those who owns Pocket PCs. At times it is better than the manufacturers' support pages. To those who have created the Cook ROMS, you guys has shown a thing or two of how to make a ROM stable. Keep the good work.
If i can i would give 1000 Stars to the xda forum!!!
Is is the best i personally know and i deeply hope from the bottom of my heart that out friends like tom_condon and coolgadget come back.
There are only a few people kicking at the the forum - and most of us live the right spirit of the forum!!!
I think that it is interesting to buying a htc thanks to this forum because with original roms does not work well. 1000 stars to xda. We have new phones thanks to developers of the forum.
RESPECT
I absolutely agree with macguffin.
I've had tom's bb3.7 and 4.0, and I was totaly amazed! Until I join the xda forum I had my device with slow wm5, but now THANKS TO LOCAL GUYS I have brand new Artemis - I couldn't even imagine anything like this before. Now I have Meschle's ROM(seems better for me). I'm also sad that a lot of "internet newbies"(don't know how to search and ask) comes here but heads up guys...it's everywhere. I think if we stick together we can make this forum better!
Thank to all of you here who spend your nights with pimping our devices. You show me new way of using my phone. I don't wanna call your names because I know there are a lot of members who want to share their knowledge - no matter how they are skilled.
I'm sorry for my english, it probably isn't too good to describe my feelings.

Thanks to the chefs. Also many thanks to the developers who make the tools, which make these ROM's possible, thanks to Bepe, Pof, A_C, Gullum and NNcuong to mention just a few.
i am using B&B v3 Ger - Rom on my XDA orbit
and its much better than the original wm6. i love it!
hopefully soon the ger version of 4.1 will come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would jus like to say RESPECT to all of the cookers who have worked hard to produce these ROM’s for us.
I have used Tom’s B&B 4.0 and.4.1 Mischle’s premium plus and 2.1, and also Fracoon’s 2.1 final. Tom’s is cosmetically brilliant, Meschle’s is very stable with excellent apps cooked in, and Fracoon’s is lightning fast and stable. I must say that these men have put in a tremendous amount of hours into producing these ROM’s. These ROM’s all work much better than that of O2, T-Mobile and all of the other providers.
What I especially like about these men is that they provide and excellent service and support right around the clock, in spite of the abuse for some complainers, who forget that these guys are giving freely of their time and resources. I have logged sometimes late into the night and these men are still providing support for us.
Please guy’s don’t forget that the majority of us appreciate the hard work that you do for us.

absolutely correct! Thanks a lot to all of them, great work guys !
romac,
Thanks for saying exactly what I'm thinking. And you guys (Tom, Meschle, aje_fr, Fracoon and I know I'm far from having listed one hundredth of all the guys that are cooking or helping cookers), thanks for your hard work on making us such good ROMs. Your work is definitely better than the one made by all these providers we bought our P3300s from
The_Steph

God bless you guys
A bear hug to all of them - trust me - my size is big enuf for all
Cooks are important no doubt....but then what would cooks do if the spices were missing....along with them - I think the ones who build the smaller particles (individual cabs, apps etc) deserve to be recognized also....
A bear hug (or jadu ki jhappi) to all of them - trust me - my size is big enuf for all !
Add Mine too
My admiration too for the excellent work.
Hear...Hear
+1000000...my greatest compliment for all of the cookers out there. You are the ones that make things run the way it should.
Best Regards,
i'll second that
All the cookers are talented guys who we all owe a great deal of respect......even Meshle who has been sent ot Coventry
Great job, guys.
RESPECT! great job
good staff
thanks you and respect peace and love Tom, Meschle, aje_fr, Fracoon and ME lol
Thanks to all the cooks
Agree 100%. You guys ROCK!!!
My Thanks goes out to all the peeps behind the scene, not to forget Pof, without his USPL program, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the aftermarket roms
Kudos to all!
Very Good Point!!!!

Me too.....
I think it should be made known that the term cookers cover everyone who makes ROM and ALL developers created tools to install the ROM to our PPC and ALL developers that creates new programs/fixes....I hope that covers it this time....
Great job...please keep it up...thanks
/signed, what more is there to say!
The work you people do is amazing, I bought my Orbit and was saddened at the sloooow speed of the thing but you guys changed that! ROMS, stability, CABS, tips, help!
Thanks goes out to ALL of you!
They just made a great phone even better, a big respect to all cookers
Guys thankyou for respect
For myself i cooked these roms for you guys to enjoy - to have something bug free (well almost ) that you could use day in and day out
What about a forum for the ipaq hx4700? I know that this website is for HTC PDAs but, the hx4700 was also called the Roadster in some markets and made by HTC. Considering that there's a thread over in the upgrading section with 595,000 views and almost 2000 posts on the hx4700 (and that's just one thread) I think there would be a strong interest in a dedicated forum. Many of the posts are from newbies and not by developers but we do have Kozhura and Menneisyys and many other dev types who have posted quite alot about this device in the past, with Kozhura now on his 4th version of WM6. There seems to be a big following for this device even now with a kitchen having been adapted by vivi to suit it. It would be great to have our own corner somewhere on this wonderful site for our community.
Thank you for the consideration.

Yes, sounds a very good idea
Dirk
Great idea!
Based on what I was able to see this had a 2003 rom and came out in 2004.
We have added a lot of forums for the new devices and I am not sure if there will be enough users to justify a section a few years late.

That is true, however HP did do a (poor) WM5 upgrade and there are at least two unofficial WM6 ROMs. The hx4700 was ahead of its time and still powerful compared to many on the market today; probably because it doesn't have an inbuilt phone.
There is this thread which is nearly up to 2,000 posts; many of the smart phone forums on XDA developers have nowhere near as many posts in total.
If there was a forum just for the hx4700, then maybe that would entice other hx4700 owners to join up to talk things other than just the ROMs.
I bet there are a few super users that would be happy to moderate a dedicated kx4700 forum too?
You guys don't give up do you ?
OK I admit you do have a valid point. I will put it forward to the sysadmin for a section under
Other HTC manufactured phones
Thank you
Thanks again for the consideration. It is an old device but I think there's quite a bit of interest in it.

I'm also interested in this. I think it would fuel discussing on the hx4700
Hi, on my hx4700 (alkor wm6.1) when I paired my bluetooth audiphones, it`s fine, just if it is like new, no progrmas, but whe I charge some progrmas, I can`t connect the devices, there are no way to use it.
Just when the ipaq is just hard reseted. Anybody know what happen?

Thats really great news, Dutty is one of the best cooks in XDA, and I am sure, he will make this device dance like anything with his roms.
aren't we (diamond users) lucky?
[to my Diamond]: don't worry, the doctor is on his way and your brain transplant is going to be OK
Awesome, just as I'm replacing my Tytn 2 for a Diamond which I should have in a few days, Dutty gets one to
And thanks Dutty for all the hard work you do, my Tytn 2 is running way faster with your 6.1 rom than with the official one
Look forward to seeing some Dutty Diamond roms
Great News! Now all I have to do is wait for the great Dutty to release his marvellous ROM as always.

ROFL ROFL.... That is a GOOD one.
Welcome to Dutty (someone gonna put the red carpet and buy some flowers?)
We have some new great talen here on the Diamond pages, and I guess that Dutty will be happy to meet new (junior) members.
just one advice to all newbies and will-become flashers: READ the DAMN FORUMS and use SEARCH please.
Do not get flamed, or flame others as lately happended on the Kaiser/tilt/tytn II sites.

And if yo wouldn't mind could you PM the link to me as well.

Tyvm, we just want to see if this will work since the verizon diamond is so similar to ours
BUMPING Message, please guys take a few minutes to help us out.
Anyluck from anyone? Would really be appreciated!
please someone help us out. This can really help us further advance our Vogues and help Custom Verizon Diamond ROMs be developed
The Verizon Diamond ROM won't help our Vogue. Vogue runs MSM7500 @ 400 MHz and Diamond runs MSM7500A @ 528 Mhz. Note I said MSM7500A and not MSM7501A. We would have to port the VGA ddi.dll from the Diamond, good luck with that.
We need the Diamond Dump, NFSFAN changed his mind and said that it would really help now...please!!!
Anyone got it?
Enjoy! I posted this on PPCGeeks as well.
Hot off the press! Fresh from a hard-reset.
http://rapidshare.com/files/245726267/Verizon_Diamond_Stock_Dump.zip
I had a Touch Pro just recently then it went all wonky. Verizon was exchanging the phone for me but sent me a Touch Diamond by mistake. I contacted them and they said they were out of warranty replacements for the touch pro and that I'd have to wait for a new shipment. Well, I needed my phone sooner than later so I decided to just accept the Diamond but I told them to credit my account the discrepancy in price between the two. They were happy to oblige. I kinda miss the keyboard, the LED flash, and the extra ROM memory, but I tell ya, this little guy seems to have much better call quality, it feels a great deal faster and the graphics much smoother.
Now if we can only make up a 6.5 ROM for it *wink, wink* ^__^
Hope this helps you guys!
