im on CNA 3.8 and I was wondering how to set a mp3 as a ringtone
Put the mp3 file in the sdcard/ringtones folder, reboot and you should be able to select it as a ringtone.

The built in memory is considered the SD card by default.
Use any file explorer app to create a ringtone folder if you don't see one in the root directory.
Eg.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Thanks

What's the best way to transfer large files between my Nexus 7 and Nexus 5, preferably without wifi?
EDIT: without a computer. without usb-otg and sd card would be nice.
Perhaps bluetooth or NFC?

How to upload to cloud without wifi?
USB may be best, but I was hoping to find a way for when I don't have that hardware.
Both devices have NFC.

I seem to need an app at both ends. If so, what app do you recommend?
Download superbeam at play store
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For that matter, any file manager with a "share" or "send" function should work.
Superbeam on both devices. It's the best for both small and big files. And it's free.
It seems the best way to transfer without external stuff (router, SD card, etc.), is wifi direct.
I could either set up wifi direct and use an appropriate file manager or use superbeam as a one step solution.
I need to know the file structure where the map data is stored. I manually download the map data but don't know where to put it?
Nobody knows?
The folder to put in the downloaded maps is hidden
/Android/data/com.here.app.maps/files/.here-maps
I copied it into this path, and it's working.
Also I downloaded the voices and transfered it to my radio

but you just copied, you have deleted them from internal storage?....and still works? or did you have both files on both storages?
I downloaded the maps on my mobile phone and transfered it via USB stick into the internal storage of the radio. Works perfectly

U need 2 install "here we go" on a smartphone/tablet and download the maps at that device.
Afterwards u can extract the files in the posted directory. and paste them into ur headunit
cheers
Do you know where are the voices/audio downloaded ? I'd like to retrieve them as well. Its most probably on my sd card since I chose that option but can't manage to find them.. Many thanks !! Mat

Does it created you two folder, one "com.here.app.maps" and an other "com.here.app.maps 1"?
after connecting my moto z play to pc using cable i cant access the media folder of whatsapp as it appears as an unrecognised file any help please
In media protocol sometimes files are not visible. Try restart you phone and then access them from pc. If this doesn't work you can always copy this folder to sd card and after that use microsd card reader.
Do you have TWRP?
