PLEASE DON'T USE O/C ON THE FIRST BOOT
1. On WinMo, navigate to the andboot or root sd card folder on your SD card and launch haret.exe.
2. First boot will take several minutes for the data.img to be created... Be patient... enjoy the animation.
3. Wait for welcome screen setup. Do not touch. Wait for green light, skip everything and you are at the home screen. Wait for green light.
4. Open Spare Parts and change End button behavior to go to home
5. APN. setting, wireless & network setting, mobile networks, access point names, press menu key, new apn. SPRINT USER. FOR NAME "SPRINT" AND #777 FOR APN NAME
6. Goto to Settings - Call setting and set up your voice mail for sprint, verizon. etc..
7. Goto Settings - Sound. Test the volume settings, test phone ringtones and notification ringtone
8. Goto Settings - Display-Brightness. Make sure you drag the yellow line to the left but do it really slow. This is to save battery.
9. Goto Settings - Location & security- Enable use wireless networks and gps
10. Goto Settings - Applications- Enable unknown sources
11. Goto Settings - Language & keyboard - Set your language or use more locale 2 to add language. Press the menu key and follow the screen.

13. Let the phone sync. Do not touch. Wait for green light
14. Open all apps to get full performance. First go to Settings - Display - set screen timeout set it 10 minutes. Make sure all apps fully open.
* DO NOT OPEN VIGNETTE UNTIL YOU HAVE SWITCHED TO THE CAMERA KERNEL ON FUTURE BOOTS
* Open astro, browser, calculator, calendar, car home, clock, contacts, email, gmail.google seach, latitude, maps (if you see update occurring, just cancel it), messaging, music.navigation, news and weather, phone, places, search, talk, tapatalk pro, titaniumbackup
* Open the market app LAST - allow it to do updates for existing apps
15. Boot back to WinMo
16. Open File Explorer; you can now switch to the camera, 1250 or 1253 kernel located in the files folder; just copy the zImage and modules*.tar.gz to the andboot folder level.
* files\first boot zimage and modules 1232 - camera/kb backlight - you can use Vignette with this
* files\zimage and modules 1250 - official kernel - kb backlight
* files\zimage and modules 1253 - official kernel - kb backlight/USB headphone
17. Boot haret, alway wait for green light. Make a test call, send a text, tell someone to call you. Tell someone to send you a text.
Requirements:
* Your WinMo needs to be running at stock speed (528Mhz); DO NOT OVERCLOCK under WinMo before booting to Android, it will just crash. Don't ask how, it just doesn't work. You need to be running WinMo at stock speed since your last boot; you can't just throttle it down to stock speed and then launch Android.
* Optional but recommended: backup the data on your SD card, format it using SD Formatter as FAT32, restore your data on it, and create the Froyo X distribution with the instructions below.
Miscellaneous:
* <LI sizcache="3" sizset="185">Here's how to have multiple Android distributions on your SD card: Have multiple Android builds on your SD card
* Attached contains the ts-calibration file I calibrated for my Sprint TP2. The one that comes with distribution is not accurate for my TP2; I get button misses when I use the soft keyboard (and hence any application that requires your screen to be aligned precisely). You're welcome to use it.
* For the Froyo X distribution, you may be able to overclock (not all TP2s can be overclocked so if this doesn't work, revert the changes) your TP2 to run at 710MHz under Froyo X; here is the setup:
1. DO NOT DO THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE THE INITIAL SETUP ABOVE COMPLETELY
2. WARNING: YOU CAN DAMAGE YOUR PHONE BY OVERCLOCKING IT. AS USUAL, THAT'S THE DISCLAIMER AND I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR IT.
3. Open up the STARTUP.TXT in the andboot directory
4. Add the string "acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800" to the second to last line and modify the pm.sleep_mode string to "pm.sleep_mode=2". This works for my TP2 and ONLY FOR THIS CAMERA/BACKLIGHT KERNEL.
Quote:
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 clock_7x00.grp=0xa99 hw3d.force=1 board-htcrhodium.is_cdma=1 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 rel_path=andboot force_cdma=1 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 pm.sleep_mode=2 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800 physkeyboard=rhod400"
* Get Angry Birds to work with Froyo X
* If you want to add (or fix) anything to this (ONLY SETUP please), please PM me. I won't have time to read everyone's post to figure out if it's meant for me. THANKS and enjoy your Froyo XT!
Many thanks to Tiad8 and the XDAndroid developers (http://xdandroid.com/wiki/Development_Team) for this great work. I, myself, am not a developer so you guys should thank these guys. I know a little Linux but would love to learn about the internals of the Android system and hopefully really contribute one day.

Is it possible to incule the Camera and keybord blacklight ?
Thanks. I'll try this out and report back. Do i need to use a special kernel or can i just use the camera test kernel?
I hope there will be a camera test kernel with the kb backlight code inside, so i don't have to switch every time ).
Good, but how to make title clocks white?
Does it can use for Topaz?
..........
(downloading new 01.17 version...)
Ok. Awesome build, very stable ultra fast and cmon i can finally play angry birds, slow but i play it,
Good:
Angry birds from the begining
Stable , exept for the cam
cam (even unstable i finally see the cam in android)
3D performance
Bad:
The battery dies just in just 7 hours
Black clock on a dark bottom, you cant see the notifications.
Manually updated and you have to know wich file to erase or not
great build keep working on it. we hope that between all the developers make a stable/battery lasting/ usefully rom to finally port our devices and forget about WM6.5
Full Package
Thanks So Much, especialy for macking it a full package because my zImage, initrd, ext. were getting so fragmented from a bunch of different places.
sprint settings
anyone have the sprint data and mms settings for this??
Hi,
Testing on my Blackstone. Using overclocked startup.txt found in Neopeeks versions. This one have worked well on XDAndroid also. (Of course changed to match XDAndroids structure). Right now I have all files in root of SD-card, so I have removed the rel-path option in startup.txt.
I replaced the kernel and modules in the package with the 1250 kernel from january 7.
Results:
After about 4 reboots, I haven't been able to get past the first configuration screens. I was able to choose language once, and I see we miss many languages there, for instance the nordic ones (Swedish, Finnish, Danish and Norwegian). Would be nice to have every standard language. It can't be difficult to include.
I will try to boot again with a normal clocked startup.txt. Hopefully I will get past the configurations screens. But the overclocked startup.txt I'm using have been working with every other ROM.
Anyway, I am grateful as always for the work you do, and hopefully I will get past those first configuration screens someday
[Edit] No luck with normal clocked startup.txt. No more rebooting/testing this evening. I guess it could be the 1250 kernel that is causing the trouble.

really simple.
1- go to setting. Go to apns
now for sprint user. Name, add sprint for apn add #777
that should work. Data plus mms work like a charm for me.
Thanks
What kind of battery life are you getting?
Just wondering. I am only getting 5-7 hours based on usage on the current regular build. Wondering if trying this build will be any better?

Installing / First Install of 1.2+ Guide:
1) Flash RecoveryMod.zip (credit to Klothius), you won't be able to install other custom ROMs than mine (unless they use the same MTD config as I do) until you revert the RecoveryMod!
2) Reboot into recovery again, format system, data & cache in the partitions menu
3) Flash the ROM
( 4) If you get a force-close after booting, flash the fix below.)
Updating the ROM guide:
1) Just flash the ROM
( 2) If you get a force-close after booting, flash the fix below.)
Why is the RecoveryMod necessary?
The ROM is using a modified Kernel commandline to change the partitioning, to be exact, it changes the sizes so you get more space on /data.
A custom recovery is needed, because a normal recovery would flash to wrong sectors in the NAND, so the flashed boot.img, which contains initialization scripts, wouldn't be able to recognize and read the system files.
Revert Recovery Guide:
1) Download ROM Manager from the Android Market
2) Flash the recovery via the first option in the app
3) Put another ROM on your SDcard
4) Reboot into recovery MANUALLY
5) Format all partitions except the SDCARD in the partitions menu
6) Flash the other ROM

good choice on kernel, when other devs switch to that kernel (such as robomix) their performance jumps to the top of the list LoL.

Anyways this ROM seems to be pretty nice. Good performance and I really like FrindStream and the legend stuff
maxisma, thank you for including United States English. I'm tired of sense roms giving me a british accent in google nav and british news sources in google news+weather widget.
However, adding a canadian locale would be even better sir!

Yes, I can do that, if you tell me the code for it, US English would equal

JIT patch not available in the link?
nice rom, running terrific!
only (super low priority) suggestion I have is that maybe you could consider making the lockscreen semi-transparent rather than 100% transparent? it's really confusing to anyone other than me. coworked picked it up and tried tapping things and thought it was broken, I told them to drag it down. voila, but it's a little misleading.
it's really not important though - and definitely a matter of taste.

this seems to be incredibly quick though!!
if this adds Canadian locale this will be my new permanent rom.

Hi Maxisma,
Just wanted to say that this rom is really great.
Super smooth and friggin' fast ( even without OC )...
Only thing not working for me is the JIT patch but since JIT doesn't work on any 2.1 rom for me that's not an issue
*yeay flippin' flipclock is back
A question about the ROM, when you specify "- Battery percentage indicator" does that mean CyanogenMOD-like indicator or a widget or so?
Hi!
I released a new ROM. The Idea behind it is a mix from HTC Hardwarelibs/Settings and APPs but without Sense. The Build is based on a new Desire HD Build (Android 2.2.1). I removed all HTC Widgeds, Sensestuff, etc. But I let some Apps, like Camera, Album, Musicplayer, Clock, EMail, Messanger, Keyboard, Twitter, etc. and you have the HTC System stuff, like the USB connection Menu. It's very nice and fast. As launcher is the Gingerbread Launcher installed.
Try it with e.g. Launcher Pro, Fancy Widget and Smooth Calender.
Working:
All
NotWorking:
- Customize in settings because it's sense connected. You can change background etc. with the long press on desktop.
FOR SMALL UPDATES LOOK IN POST 3
I added the app2sd+ mod. To enable it, you have to create a second partition on your sd card. But as first, BACKUP YOUR SD DATA !. The first one has to be the fat32 for normal sd use. Second ext2/3/4. 512 Mb for app data should be fine. I have 1.5 GB. If the partition exists, the system is using it for apps and other stuff. You have ca 200 MB Free on /data after this mod. Second good thing, if you install a update, you don't need to reinstall the apps, they are still there. If you don't create the second part, the data is like usually on nand. Automatic detection.
- You need MAGLDR 1.13
- NAND Build
- Prepared for CMR
- Kernel is almost stock from our git.
- Android 2.21
- You can create the partitions e.g. wirth gparted in linux (live cd boot for windows), or windows partition tools
- No OC or such stuff
- Interactive gouvernor
- completly cleaned initrd
- correct file rights
- rooted
- deodexed
- new busybox with many new system commands
- ENABLE: UseLast24NAND in magldr for sthis ROM!
It's made for daily use.
5mA standby
8mA with Bluetooth
For Overclocking use MDJs kernel, change the mtdblock0->mtdblock2 in batchfile!:

Simple download, extract, connect phone, run batch.

New Update Version 1.7 to 1.7.1: (you need 1.7 installed)
- Fixed GSensor Calibration
- Fixed win-key unlocks Lockscreen
- Fixed some market problems in CMR build.
Extract download zip in root of sd (update.zip have to be then there), boot in magldr/ad recovery, do a backup, apply update.zip.
!DON'T USE MDJs KERNEL TILL HE HAS A NEW UPDATED VERSION!

New Version 1.7: !MAGLDR 1.13 needed!
- Fixed browser problems
- Removed flash. Try this one for a stable browser: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=507808&d=1296746097
- Added Recovery partition, Full-DFT-Setup installs automaticly CMR 1.3 (is a recovery system for much android devices, you can do backups there, restors, install upates easy and much more, you can start it with ad recovery from magldr 1.13 after you flashed 1.7)
- Enable UseLast24NAND in magldr bevor you flash it (Go to MagLDR->Services->UseLast24NAND ->yes)
Download: BUILD INCL. CMR
http://www.multiupload.com/AGBQQY7V9B
For TMOUS users:
- Do NOT enable UseLast24NAND in magldr and replace the flash.cfg with this one
http://www.multiupload.com/2RMVQBQ2TB
Version 1.6:
- Fixed cache (market) for all
- Fixed power problems after first call (the 70mA)
- Fixed proximity/lightsensor power on/off
- Using now the FULL availible nand. You have to follow this steps:
-- After Backup, go to magldr
-- MagLDR-> Services -> UseLast24NAND
-- Activate it with yes (green), it means now we use full nand. It means we are using the last 24MB of NAND, which are default disabled.
Some people says there is the bootloader or such stuff. THIS IS NOT TRUE! This part of memory will be everytime if you flash something new like new magldr deleted, it's all. So you can only put there stuff, which is temporary there. So it's the best place for a cache partition! (it's a partitions where android stores temporary data). It's only disabled by default in MagLDR, because the roms have to prepared for it, like this.
!IMPORTANT: DEACTIVATE IT IF YOU USE OTHER ROM!
-- restart phone to magldr again
-- flash rom as usualy

3 x YES!
The main appeal of desire hd builds for me is the text-seletion facilities of the sense build, which makes typing so much better. And it's the main reason I'm using a gingerbread build right now. But HTC's text selection is still much better. I will give this build a try, but i'd rather have a ClockWorkMod build, which makes upgrading, backing up and restoring builds so much easier. Also, the abilty to overclock would be appreciated (not enabled by default).
Thanks for your effort.

cool thanks Markinus will give a try. i think you should make a more complete list of whats included and removed.
wow!! great idea!!
could you post the files to get social networking back please??
Has anyone else had a problem installing this rom? I installed everything fine, but after I go through the setup process it always fc the setup program, and it loops, so the only thing I can do is turn it off.
It's funny I just got it in my head to try another dhd rom, loaded the mdj lite rom and it worked fine but it doesn't have boot.img and doesn't work with clockwork recovery. I was really hoping to give this one a run.
Brilliant idea ! Now we don't have battery drains and have absolutely the best contact manager/dialer, text selection and other things BUT
- I have many FC in CLOCK, SETUP WIZARD, (sometimes) MAIL and I didn't check everything yet
- HTC Flashlight doesn't work
P.S. Please don't rip everything ... leave us things that don't slow down so much our phone and don't eat every byte of data space (I like integration with Facebook, sense home screen isn't needed for me)
Thank you very much, sir ! It's your second idea in absolutely oposite direction but again genius !
FC on Setup
Same issue here. FC during initial setup. Had to install another ROM. Will try again if there is a fix. I love DHD roms and especially without all the sense stuff in it
do i HAVE to partition my SD card to use this build?
I'm not worried about apps2sd and all that stuff....just want a small, quick smooth, bloat-free version of desire hd.
???
cheers

Hi!
I released a new ROM. The Idea behind it is a mix from HTC Hardwarelibs/Settings and APPs but without Sense. The Build is based on a new Desire HD Build (Android 2.2.1). I removed all HTC Widgeds, Sensestuff, etc. But I let some Apps, like Camera, Album, Musicplayer, Clock, EMail, Messanger, and you have the HTC System stuff, like the USB connection Menu. It's very nice and fast. As launcher is Launcher2 installed.
Try it with e.g. Launcher Pro and Fancy Widget too.
Working:
All
NotWorking:
If you find something then write it.
You have ca 245 MB Free on /data after this mod. Second good thing, if you install a update, you don't need to reinstall the apps, they are still there. If you don't create the second part, the data is like usually on nand. Automatic detection.
- You need MAGLDR 1.11
- NAND Build
- Kernel is almost stock from our git.
- Android 2.21
- You can create the partitions e.g. wirth gparted in linux (live cd boot for windows), or windows partition tools
- No OC or such stuff
- Interactive gouvernor
- completly cleaned initrd
- correct file rights
- rooted
- deodexed
- new busybox with many new system commands
Important:
- There are no Socialnetworks apps or DataTransfer tools, so skip this steps in HTC Setup.
Version 1.0:
- Density 240 (default):
- All looks good.
http://www.multiupload.com/97K8MZOZK8
- Density 180:
- All nice small but some apps has problems with this density.

Critical Kernel Patch:
You MUST Apply this PATCH first In order to upgrade your ROM with future kernel updates from me...(You only need to do this EXACTLY 1 time, then afterwards you may update to my new kernel whenever they are available)
[Kernel Update Instructions]
This is my second ROM cooking... The reason I created this ROM is NOT TO COMPETE with anyone else, it is mainly for myself. I wanted a pure stock Sense ROM that's STABLE and FAST but I also wanted to try something slightly different (And I needed a stable pure stock Sense ROM for myself to test my kernels against.)
I WON'T BE Updating this ROM unless something is Seriously WRONG with it...
(I WON'T BE taking FEATURE REQUESTS and such, most can be added by yourself from various mods found in the Theme and Apps sub forum )
So here it is: Orange Sense ?!?!?!?
Why the name:
Because ClockworkMod Recovery (3.0.0.5+) for Gingerbread is colored Orange for EXT 4 partitions and since this ROM uses EXT 4 File System (FS) as its primary FS, I decided to name it this way.
So what is in this Orange Sense?
[NOTE: This is a FROYO BASED (Android 2.2.1) Sense 2.0 Implementation. This is NOT the NEW Gingerbread (Android 2.3.3) Sense which is 2.1 ]
1. Completely rebuilt from Stock Desire Z Image hosted here (RUU_Vision_hTC_Asia_HK_CHT_1.84.708.1, the last one)
2. Uses exclusively EXT 4 FS
3. Moved all optional Apps to /data/app partition for easy uninstall (including most Google Apps)
4. Rooted, /system set to RW by default
5. Deodexed, Zip aligned all /system/apps and framework files using ROM kitchen from fellow XDA member.
6. Dalvik memory boosted from default 24MB to 36MB
7. Few CFS tweaks
8. Added WiFi Calling, Swype and Qik video chat.
I want to [Thank] the following:
Evil D for inspiring me to port a Non-Glacier ROM to MT4G. I also KANGED his HTC Camera App to work with FFC and Back cameras and I used his Desire Z port as a guide/reference when I was porting this version.
rmk40 for super user / sqlite3 hack that I KANGED to fix the SU/sqlite3 FCs on ported Sense ROMs.
dsixda for the easy to use ROM kitchen (highly recommended to anyone interested in cooking their own ROM, it CAN'T be easier than what he provided)
Installation:
The File ==> Orange Sense Version 1.0.2 <==
Patch 1: Kernel PATCH (use for updating to newer kernels)
Patch 2: wpa_supplicant Patch (use for fixing WiFi connection issues when connecting to hidden SSID routers)
WARNING: The INSTALLER WILL ERASE ALL USER DATA AND SYSTEM DATA!!!
Requirement: MUST HAVE CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY 3.0.0.5 or 3.0.0.6 (preferred)
1. Reboot into recovery
2. Wipe Cache Partition
3. Install zip from SDCard
4. Once installation is completed, select Reboot System Now
Note: Upon first reboot may take up to 4~6 mins.
Patch Note: To apply patch, reboot into recovery, install the patch zip file, then reboot...
The following pre-installed Apps will need to be updated MANUALLY from Market by searching for their names:
Adobe Reader
Facebook (Not the built-in integrated Sense version)
Twitter (Not the built-in integrated Sense version)
Youtube
Google Mail
Google Search
Google Maps
Google Street
Google VoiceSearch
Qik Video Chat
or they can all be easily un-installed because they are NO LONGER System Apps.
Bugs/Incompatibilities:
1. Any Real-Time Streaming Video Player will have a yellow/blue play icon stuck in the middle of video (annoying but still watchable). This is due to framework / library mismatch... I will investigate on this but not super high priority...
2. Pure Sense Framework is HUGE... I can't test all combinations, so there might be bugs here and there... Report them on this thread and I try to address them (Remember this is a PORT of a ROM designed for another phone... so things may not lined up completely.)
Standard Disclaimer: Not responsible for bricking your phone, voiding your warranty, or any other pain or suffering you may feel as result of using this ROM or Kernel!!!

Man I love this rom so much it's awesome. Thanks for the great work! The only bug I see so far is when I'm playing music through the HTC music player in the notification tray it doesn't say what I'm listening to. Instead it just says "plugin_file_path" Other then that everything is working fine

LOL, it's funny you posted this.. because I am running it right now at work and listening to music and the name is prefect... I don't know why you are seeing that...
Ok so I put music on my SD card and now it's working fine. Earlier I was streaming from my pc and it was saying that. Maybe it's just because I was streaming music? Sorry I forgot to clarify
A new version is now out, and it contains some major improvements in terms of performances and speed. It has Las_Venturas 1.0RC3+ kernel packed (thanks @jordfaz), the new camera fix (thanks @stritfajt), the scripts are now up and running (thanks @riemer for the tip), fixed app2sd and cache2cache script, Habarug's modded Phone.apk (disabled the red hang up button), a new Evervolv Toolbox + a superb boot animation (probably the best boot animation I've saw from 2009 till now). It also includes a nice script called 13cpuspeed from where you can set your own values and governor. You can see the values changed in evervolv toolbox under performance tab.
Right now when you flash the zip, the cpu speed is OC'd at: 264-652 smartass V2. I suggest you increase the min value to 352mhz. I've done this to avoid flashing a 'safe' kernel on top of the rom for those heroes that cannot support higher cpu speeds and also it's a safe way to change your values from within the script, no need for 3rd party app.
Why it is improved? Because in v2 and lower, the scripts were lying in init.d but they did not activate on boot thus making them basically useless.
But there is one more script left in init.d that it's not working. This is the *****! '02ramconfig'. This basically sets the internal task killer to higher values giving our hero a little boost in speed. I have tried many ways to force it to start. IT seems that when the boot animation is on, the values are set according to the script, after that, the values turn to normal.
We will investigate this further as we move our focus towards 4.0.5 when the sources are out. But at the time being I will show you other ways to activate the script, so don't delete it:
Keep in mind that you need to do it on every boot. Just choose a way that suits you best and do it every time you reboot your phone.
1. install AMM - auto memory management - from the market, and set it at mild or agressive.
2. If you have android sdk installed on your computer, just make this:
enter cmd and navigate to your android-sdk\platform-tools
Connect your device (make sure you have usb debugging enabled from settings).
Type adb shell and now you should type this command:
Code:
echo 1536,3072,4096,21000,23000,25000 > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree
after this, to see if the values are set, you can try this:
Code:
cat /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree
and if it looks like this; 1536,3072,4096,21000,23000,25000 you are ready to go.
3. If you have 'Root Explorer.apk' you can press on any of the script from init.d (minfree, cpuspeed) and select run as Linux Script Handler -> Execute.
And the values should fire up. Note: for cpu speeds, do this after you've changed your cpu settings using a text viewer (explorer works also).
I suggest you all guys flash this latest version because includes almost all major fixes and the call drop should be fixed in this. Also, you can install apex launcher for a better performance, you will never regret it. You can enable some cool features that LV Kernel comes packed with (zRam or Kernel samepage merging briefly known as ksm). I suggest play with ksm and see how it goes.
Another nice tweak you can make to increase performance is to limit the processes to only "4" from settings-developer options-background process limit. You can play with this value as well but I suggest leaving it at 4 if you want to be enabled.

* Recommended Flashing Instructions * *YOU CAN USE CWM OR AMON_RA***
1 - full wipe: data + cache + dalvik cache
2 - flash lights format all
3 - flash the ROM zip
4 - flash the kernel from above if youre phone does not support cpu settings of 652Mhz
5 - reboot: the first boot will take awhile
6 - ensure everything is loaded and settled by letting the screen timeout and waiting a minute or so before waking it up and proceeding
7 - go through the google setup wizard and then wait another couple mintes to allow the rest of the ROM to load up and any google data to sync
8 - reboot and allow things to load up again
9 - everything should now be ready to go
* Tips *
Enable "Force GPU Rendering" in "Settings - Developer Options" (it helps flinger to be more smooth).
Disable "Report usage and errors" in "Apex Settings - Advanced settings".
Use setcpu.apk or similar overclock app
Use autokiller.apk or similar taskkiller app
In settings->developer options: make sure window & transition animations are off
In settings->language & input->android keyboard: turn off popup/vibrate on keypress
Can open a running apps list by long-pressing the home button & swipe(or long-press) to clear (useful if an app won't open or system slows down to clear out some memory)
Disabling an app is very easy in ICS: either through the manage app screen or by dragging a particular app from the drawer to the "app info" section displayed at the top of the screen, you'll find a button to disable that app
Performance-wise it could be worthwhile to play around with the "background process limit" and "don't keep activities" options in settings->developer options
The ICS launcher makes it simple to create & use folders: just drag one icon on top of another, let go, and they will now be in a folder together which you can name whatever you like.
Apex settings - drawer settings - Disable Show Widgets tab (it helps on app drawer faster open/close).

flashing "OpenGL_2.0_by_harut56.zip" will turn the rom's "ro.opengles.version=131072" into "ro.opengles.version=65537" ... isn't that going to revert OpenGL from 2.0 to 1.1 or am I wrong and confused?

OpenGL mod is based on modified OpenGl 1.1 libs, thats why version is 65537,you can try with version 131072,I haven't tested it yet.
Hello everyone!
Perhaps you know me, I'm trying to revive the NANDROID on our beloved HTC Thouch HD, aka Blackstone.
I want to thank to XDAndroid developers team & detule, they create & make it possible/available with pathes on gitorious or others site for the SD kernel source and a GBX tree!
Thank to Arganis31 for the great work on Blackstone LK!!! { LK source, soon on the git from Arganis31 }
Of course deepest of respect to [ACL] for everythings!
And everyone who i forget!!!
Please note :
- I don’t take any responsibility for any damage to your device! So use at your own risk!!!
- My kernel source is here: https://gitorious.org/linux-msm-blac-nand/linux-msm-blac-nand
- Change Log – 2 post ; Install – 3 post
- This is not an official GBX release, rather something I compiled from the current GBX tree.
- This is work in progress, so there may be minor or major problems
- Please attach your getlogs if you have some problem, thank you
Main problem is:
- Shutdown / reboot { just hang on } not working need reset or battery pull out.
- 3D not really good so if i enabled HW3D than i get a blank screen :/ { gralloc or kernel pmem issue??? }
- Any others are working, like SD version or just better.
I am a only who are working on the Blac Nand Kernel & setup the ROM right, Im updating g3rm0 git source with some good stuff, I can say that now i got it a lot of better funkcionality on nand. Nearly everythings updated on source. For example new acoustic code working on nand and audio fully working, with BT audio too!!!
Any help are welcome and thanked If you think that's right.

You need charging your battery minimum to 70% in Windows Mobile before starting everythings !!!
do not play with less value if you dont know what do you do!!!
* All files ready which you need on downloads place.
Installation guide from Windows Mobile to the Android:
Thanks to FazZ & Nick Brown! Great work!
1. Flash the latest HardSPL from OliNex
2. Extract the 'adb files & fastboot.exe' files to a folder and grab the latest recovery-XY.img from Necessary files and older downloads. Place it in the same older and rename it to recovery.img
3. Format the microSD card fully as FAT32
4. Copy the 'BlacIMG.NBH' file and your selected ROM (zip) you wish to use to the root of the microSD
5. Boot in TriColour mode (Power button and Volume down button)
6. Whilst in the TriColour mode, connect the Blackstone to a USB port ('Serial' should now say 'USB')
7. Run 'BlackstoneRUUAdvanced' and select the 'Task 29' which is full wipe of the Blackstone
8. Once completed, insert the microSD card and reboot into the TriColour mode again
9. The Blackstone will auto-flash-install (after key confirmation) the 'BlacIMG.NBH' on the microSD card
10. The 'BlacIMG.NBH' must NOT be flashed via Windows using the RUU tool (it will only fail)
11. Once flashed with the 'BlacIMG.NBH' it will reboot to a new Fastboot screen (blue background)
Note: the phone won't automatically reboot, you have to reboot it manually
12. After a short time the Blackstone in Fastboot mode with enter a USB connect ready state
13. Now connect the Blackstone to your Windows OS and open a CLi/Command prompt
14. Within CLi go to the directory where you place the 'adb files & fastboot.exe' files (from step 2)
15. Type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (this will flash install the custom CWR)
Note: The "recovery.img" file has to be in the same directory as fastboot.exe. It is in the "Necessary Files" download folder of the 1st post.
16. Then type: fastboot boot recovery.img (this will reboot your Blackstone into CWR)
17. In CWR use the Volume keys to move up and down, and the Power button to select
18. First thing to do in the recovery screen is press Volume-Up, Volume-Down, Volume-Up, then you will see a message at the bottom of the screen that says
'Back menu button enabled' , after power button using for the selecting in the menu!
19. You are now finally ready to install your chosen ROM that is on your microSD
20. Once installed, let it reboot into Android OS which takes about 5 minutes on the first run
21. Once the Blackstone has settled within the OS (you can see the typical Android home screen), reboot
22. This time round, it should only take about a minute to start and you can now start using you NAND ROM
Installation guide from before versions or another Android to the New Android:

Hey, i dont want to be ungrateful, youre doing a great job, but the most important fact is to get wifi working, without wifi there is nearly no sense for android...
thanks for your work
Hi, the installation is to complecated for me (for the moment) (also beacause I'm a french speaker). So as soon as it will be easier for me to understand, i'll try it.
Thank you for bringing balckstone back to live. Keep going.
Use the thanks button.
Thanks
great Rom
If necessary i could help translate into german/french
Thx Fagyi

^^
test it since yesterday..
everything is ok, but my ram is very low.
maybe the next rom from Fagyi be better again.
i'm waiting for it.
sorry for my english...
thx Fagyi :good:
After leaving my Blackstone sitting in the dark for quite some time, I think it's time to take it out and flash something new.
Good job OP. But as mentioned, wifi is the most urgent stuff to be fixed. If you need testers I would gladly help, just pm me
he's trying... It's really hard you know
boot.img install
Hi,
Giving your ROM a try. All installed well and Android came up OK. My only question is about the boot.img installation. How do I install it and what does it do?
If android is running, your boot.img is installed (boot.img is included in the flashable .zip
btw, you dont have blackstone on your sig... this is only for blackstones!
---------- Post added at 02:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:50 PM ----------
oh, and boot.img is the kernel

Thanks, that's what I thought but just wanted to make sure.
My blackstone isn't in my sig because it is my "play" device. But if this ROM is stable and can be used as my regular phone, I may finally replace my Rhod210 running WM6.5 and make that one my play phone.
This ROM is stable, a lot faster than SD ROMs and as some functions that even work better than on SD! (like bluetooth) If you can survive w/o wifi, you're good to go!

Wifi is good to have, but I can live without it if I must. BT, GPS, phone & battery life are crucial to me for navigation and music in my car so if those 2 work and 3G, I can give it a real try.
then yes, you are good to go
the only thing that can go wrong is battery life but try it out and see for yourself.
