I am looking for some help. I get far better performance on my Bluetooth car stereo with the MIUI rom over stock. I would prefer to run sense. Is there a way to pull the Bluetooth files from MIUI and push to sense.

The biggest difference is that CM6 runs Froyo and CM7 runs Gingerbread.
http://www.androidtapp.com/whats-new-in-gingerbread-android-2-3/
Pretty much all of this applies, except for the NFC thing. That is a hardware thing specific to the Nexus S. I'm not sure if the internet calling thing works, but the option is there in CM7.
As for differences in terms of bugs, CM7 seems a bit more stable in terms of battery consumption and "Android System" wake locks (though I might jinks myself for saying that). Also, there's a bit of a GPS bug in CM7. For GPS to work properly you might need to punch ##GPSCLRX# into the phone on a Sense-based rom. Doing that will clear the data on the GPS chip and somehow make the GPS work in CM7.
Other than that, it's pretty much the same. Most apps work just fine in gingerbread. CM7 has added a few features. There's support for themes, for one. Also, you can have an unlimited number of notification bar widgets now, since you can now scroll the widgets.
Just from personal experience, CM7 was much buggier than CM6... I had all sorts of FC'S and stuff, plus there's no GPS on CM7 and I use that a lot....
But there's also the possibility that my problems were a combination of the kernel/ROM/whatever since I didn't try different configs on CM7...
they're definitely both worth tryin... And CM7 had some really cool features.. It just wasn't worth it to me to stick with it

The biggest thing is that CM6 is Froyo [2.2] and CM7 is Gingerbread [2.3]. CM7 has a lot of new features [one people like is the tv off screen off animation] The keyboard is a lot nicer. Though CM7 is still in the nightly phase, without WiMax [4G] though you can install the rom for CM7 with WiMax [found in the development section], while CM6 is stable.

There is a fix for the gps issue. You flash a sense rom open dialer run ##gpsclrx# it resets your phone after resetting restore your cm7 rom and you have fully functioning gps. As for the FC's I've had no more problems there. Sure some apps may not have been updated with Gingerbread in mind but that's the apps problem usually not the rom.

Yes, I did the GPS fix and mine is working fine. Also, I haven't had a single FC yet on CM7 w/wimax.

My GPS works fine on all the CM7 nightlies and CM7 with WiMax [build 24].

You realize that CM7 is in Nightly-only stage, right? There's not even a release candidate? It doesn't even qualify as Beta software (though is a bit past Alpha). If you're getting FCs in an RC or Stable, then you have just cause to complain.
I just rooted my stock gb EVO 4g and am trying to get hdmi win to work on my flat screen and it doesn't register and says no signal

I had the same problem. Also on mine the built in hdmi app took over instead of hdmwin. Is there a way to shut off the stock hdmi and only have hdmwin active to see on the tv? I didn't flash a new kernel yet but I heard it helps.

I got it to work with deck Rom 1.3b Rom and tiamat kernel. Works pretty good and had no problem with it

I am using this young guy's rom currently, it is the 3D one put out by evolvedandroid. On my other EVO for my kid we have the EVOlvedROM directors cut one. HDMI out works well on both to our 55" LED TV.
edited to add: my apologies if I didn't spell things right or punctuate correctly.

When I was on 2.3.3 Sense 3.0, I couldn't get HDMwIn to work. In my opinion, the custom kernel I used (iron monkey) doesn't support it at this time. I switched to CM7 because I needed the HDMwIn app and SIXAXIS to work. Typically speaking, the custom kernel would usually indicate whether it's HDMwIn compatible. Usually I'd wait, but the Sense UI doesn't support the profile needed for complex profiles (referring to SIXAXIS).

What he is saying is: read the description of the app, it says it won't work with stock 2.3.3 Sense. Use CM7.

I just upgraded from the Eris to dinc2 yesterday, rooted and am running twisted Rom, but I can't get wireless tether to work, the comp will connect, but sometimes it says limited connectivity and won't load anything, I've only come across a couple people asking about this, but no solution, so I'm posting to see what answers I get.
I need wireless so I can put my phone in a different room for better signal...
What are you using for tethering?
I use Barnacle Wifi Tether and have no problem.
I tried barnacle and the wireless tether and neither worked for me. I wouldn't think it'd be a Rom issue since the comp connects
I tried a different roms and the only one that work tethering is the skyrider rom 3000..,
Try an older version of wireless tether.
I had the same problem until I changed to a older version. Now works great.
Or you can try to download the latest version of android wifi tether and enable clamping and routing fix.
This solution has worked with every ROM I have used.

I prefer miui over any sense rom why? Well is very snappy plus you can customize it in ways you can't do a sense rom, plus miui has a million themes you can choose from and miui has a very nice polished look and you still get some what of the 3d effects plus a few more options to scroll your home screen that no sense rom has. Also wifi hotspots and tethering are built in no need for an app to use it

Check it out here scroll down to the inc2 build

I wanna see them do a vertical scroll transition so you swipe up and down instead of side to side. I'd love to see something different again. Something to keep surprising me.

I like GoLauncher with the transition effect set to random. It's the little things.
I use the wireless tether that is in the settings in CM7, and sometimes, when I connect with a computer to its wifi signal, I get "Low signal/no connectivity" when my phone is right next to the computer. I've found that turning the wireless tether on and off a few times fixes this.

Turns out it was just the ROM I was using, the TwistedSense v1.0.1 wasn't lettin me tether, I'm runnin the TSMGingerBlissMede 0.1 now, pretty nice ROM, but super laggy on screen touch response...probably gonna try somethin else today, I like the lockscreen though, I'm new to the inc2, coming from the eris, so I guess that's just a 3.0 lockscreen huh?
So far all AOSP Roms have worked for me. I tether on CM7 instead of using my disgusting campus WIFI lol
Looking for some help, i want to experiment a little to fix an issue i have. I regularly run juggernaut because i have a bluetooth capable stereo in my car with A2DP support which works great. The problem is i want to try some other roms im running paradox and love it however there is a feature that works in juggernaut but none of the other roms. With juggernaut i can press the buttons on my stereo to change songs but on other roms it doesnt work i have to use the phone. Can someone point me to any apks or files to try extracting to make it work the same?

Waiting an hour isn't always gonna yield answers, seems this would be a dev specific question. So, I would PM Whitehawkx for a foolproof answer, good luck & let us know how it goes !
May try that i assume devs are busy n wouldnt bother with a question lol i was just hoping someone knew. Might try to move all the bluetooth apks n see if that works.

I use player pro with my sony xav-62bt and everything but the display works. I can use the gestures to control my phone and all. Only thing is that it does not display my artist or track info on my screen of my headunit. Stock samsung player shows info on my screen but i cant control my phone through headunit. Weird.

I got it figured out actually stock player works just fine now with it running a pioneer avh 2300dvd with the cd btb200 bluetooth module, calls and audio are great. With the paradox rom the bass is crazy on my system which is what i wanted to get to work because i loved the sound but not that i couldnt flip through songs. Just bought poweramp due to the 1.99 sale so ima see if that works with the bluetooth as well. Doesnt seem like many people use a2dp in there car i thought id get answers but its totally worth every penny i paid for it. Its the only reason i thought the iphone was great because of its stereo compatibility but now this is on point. 1800 watts of streaming greatness is coming out my galaxy now .

You wont be disappointed its a great rom looks wonderful.

Wait so, with Paradox ROM, more than just the stock music player shows track data on a2dp headunits? On Juggernaut I can only get the stock music player to do this, but controls work fine with it.
I think the track info is dependant on the headunit it requires different profile other then A2DP. I cant remember what ite called AVCRP or something like that.
