You generally have to flash an under voted kernel.

My wife wants me to uncap the fps issue on her stock rooted 2.2 rom. My question is, what is the most stable kernal that would uncap the fps issue and also allow over clocking? Please keeping mind I want to keep her on stock froyo as I don't feel like hearing her bickering over every little bug she finds, also she doesn't adapt well to change. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance

I am running Kings Kernel #9 BFS and I have had no issues... Also most people swear by #6 and 8 BFS as well.
Thanx Playya, I was thinking about going that route.

Hey, little new to this stuff. I've tried a few different kernels,
kings 11, ziggy and netarchy I can't tell which one is best. I have rls5 currently.

only you will know what kernel is best for your phone, try each one for a day or 2, make sure everything works, if all work well them choose the one with better battery life,
all kernels react different on each phone, we can tell you what works for us but it might not be what works for you
Hey I really appreciate the reply. It seems like the netarchy was really messing with my video. Had lines on my screen. Also been using set CPU to overclock is there anything you would recommend?

It all varies from phone to phone. Since that one didn't work out so well for ya, I'd recommend trying out other AOSP kernels and finding whats best for your phone. Invisiblek and Cayniarb are two alternatives that just came to mind.

But people say that incredikernal is great for droid incredible... Do you have links for those 2 ? THanks.

Just saying usually people who report super amazing battery life have their screen off 99% of the time. Chads kernels have really really good screen off battery life and good screen on performance (Thus not so great screen on battery life.).
Thanks lee. I just read something about that. Thanks a ton!

Thankyou for your response. Lean kernel said it doesn't have the "bells and whistles" that other kernels have. Any other recommendations? I'm trying to find what works best for me and a couple choices would help. Thanks
