Hi all, again now after I use my DHD a little I find that sometimes its kinda laggy or does not recognize my inputs 100% right. Sometimes it is like I type to fast and a character is missing. But I typed it! Is there a reason for that? Any thing I can do? Another software keyboard perhaps?

Try Swype. beta.swype.com I've been using Swype for a while now and don't ever think of going back to typing again.

Okay so ever since I rooted and flashed cm7 I've had problems with any and all keyboards.. the keyboard that comes with cm7, better keyboard 8 premium and smart keyboard. It will work sometimes perfectly fine. Like right now im typing on the cm7 keyboard and its not glitching. But it will randomly changes from the letter keyboard to numbers. Or the voice recognition will activate on its own for no reason. Its happens so frequently that I know its not me pushing the wrong buttons.
Has anybody else experienced this or know what it could be? Thanks

You could try putting the voice button on the numbers and symbols menu. You can do this through the language keyboard settings.
If it really is a problem with the way every keyboard registers your typing, the only thing I could suggest would be a full wipe. I've had problems with the Gingerbread keyboard, but if it's every keyboard you try, starting over seems like the best idea.

Ill try that. Do u know if there is a way to recalibrate the screen on the Evo?

What I'd do is find Calk's Format All, it's the most thorough wipe you can find. Then re-install rom and try that (of course, nandroid backup and titanium backup first).
If you wanna try recalibration, go Menu>settings>language and keyboard>*pick the keyboard giving you trouble*>at the bottom there should be a recalibration tool.
Does titanium backup let you backup online? Because I paid for my backup pro an it only gave me 150mb which isnt enough. They want me to pay more money for more space... which I think is a rip off after I just paid 5 for the premium app....

Okay....so I wiped everything and reflashed cm7 and still its messed up. Is there a way to recalibrate my screen? Or maybe change the sensitivity?

Okay sometimes im using facebook or the browser and i switch to landscape mode and the language goes from english to some weird language. English comes back after I force close the app. I was wondering if anyone knows what's wrong with my phone.

That would probably be Chinese. I haven't had that problem but it's not your phone. It' s a Chinese ROM
But ive never had this problem before. Cause ive been using miui. For a while now.

I know some of Swipers builds have a bug with Chinese characters. I'm on 2.2.6, too and haven't seen it.
I wouldn't get too worried about it. There're always gonna be future releases with bug fixes
Okay then, it just happened every now and then but I can cope with that, By the way thanks for your help and time

Updated to ICS through Kies, running stock rooted and using default sms (I know, that's my first problem ).
My problem is I'm having to tap the field three or four times to pull up the Swype keyboard..
Didn't see any info on this posted previously so i wanted to see if i was alone on this. Aside from this issue, I'm running pretty smoothly, no lag, no force closures, no random reboots, just finicky Swype..

Have you tired another keyboard?

Hmmm looks like its not exclusive to Swype, messaging app lags pulling up any keyboard.
I'd gladly switch to handcent, I've just gotten accustomed to being able to pull up my messages from the lockscreen.

I have similar problem but no need pull batery, just a reboot and it will fast again.
Try running a cache cleaner. I have noticed some programs doing that and I run cachecleanerng and it seems to fix it.

Can't reboot, its pretty much completely unresponsive.
As for the cache cleaner, doesn't do anything even after full wipe and fresh app install.

Simply put Google will ignore any bug reports of chrome on "unofficial" android releases such as ICS on desire Z, and cuz its not for gb, they wouldn't support the G2/DZ are all, so support inquiries are basically ignored.

I have tested Chrome on my Mimicry 1.4.0, based on ICS 4.0.4.
Chrome didn't run fully functional e.g. Fn key didn't work...
Wasn't working right for me either. Since it really isn't working for anyone which browser do people prefer instead?

Moving to Q&A
I mean, it would be ok if even once it predicted correctly, but that seems unlikely. Having to correct it over and over is killing me...
Thanks.
Try SwiftKey if you are using the stock keyboard. It seems to be pretty intelligent after you use it for a while. Of course, there is the issue where it's as slow as molasses...
